...High man, heres a link to the Dalaihempy's own coco thread, I think you'll enjoy the read.

Dalaihempy's coco thread

Frankly i'm an old phucker and a disabled veteran so I have the time to research the hell out of a topic before I make any changes and being poor means i'll be married to any changes I DO make so I spent a LOT of time reading up on growing and cloning in coco and the last few months since making the switch has made me a true believer, now I grow in coco hempy's and clone in straight coco and I couldn't be more pleased, my clones root with ease and all my plants are growing beyond my control, I NEED that tent, NOW! ...lol.

Peace, SOG

Nice post :thank you:

My hempy buckets using the original hempy mix 3:1 perl/verm with a layer of them hydroton pebble thingies in the rez. They're over 4 ft tall excluding buckets. I still got a shit load of verm/perl so I'm not gonna splash out on coco. Also, don't know if my passive hydro nutes would be good in coco anyway.

i figured out my problem if anyone cares. i ran out of room in my cab and i had to make some cuts. literally. i got rid of the smaller hempy and the dirt one i was nursing back to health. but anyway i cut the pot apart so i could get the whole rootball out without tearing it up.

i pull out the rootball and what do i find?
well first, this one is perlite on the bottom and coco on top, i thought it was perlite/coco/perlite thats another plant and i can show that later. anyway the root grew all over the top later of coco, and down into the perlite but then they stop. they grew lots of roots, but they never went down some grew down the insides of the bottle to the bottom but the majority just pooled up in the middle above where the hole is/was.

i dunno why it did this but, you guys were ALL wrong, especially the guy telling me i was overwatering, the roots never even made it that far down and i told your dumbass in the first place it couldnt be overwatering and it seems a hell of a lot like UNDERWATERING, which is what it was, i water, the water goes down and overflows the hole, but there's nothing down there.

now i gotta figure out why the roots grew like that, i wont find out till i examine the all perlite pot which is still going strong. ill be back at the end of the grow and let you know what i found out.

for all of you telling me i wasn't trying to listen to your advice, i was, you were just giving me dumb advice for things i already ruled out which is what i was trying to tell you.

@grassott-just ignore it dude, totally not worth it. no real secret for the avatar....just found one after I had a user name and it worked.
@sti-I am glad you were able to prove everyone wrong. That must be an empowering feeling. In all honesty, I do hope you figure out why you have issues (with your plants, not saying anything about your character) and please do post up the pictures of the problems and corrections. I'm sure, not counting the rude comments, it will be very helpful.

Hey stig, maybe you could research 'perched water table', that might be whats happenimg although thats only a guess, MY roots grow down through the coco and into the perlite res, that might be why i'm not suffering the same issues.

...oh, and fuck you and your attitude, you sound like some whiny kid stamping his feet 'cause people aren't telling him what he wants to hear.

...and notice that I offered a viable avenue of inquiry, despite your whiny insults.

Good luck, it's hard helping someone who already knows all the answers.

Peace, SOG

i don't think i know all the answers, the smartest man knows he knows nothing. BUT I KNOW WHAT ITS NOT. which is what all of you were telling me...which it wasn't. was it... i don't have an attitude, a little gloating yes, but wouldn't you if everyone was telling you the wrong thing then getting mad at you for not doing more wrong things? my plants at the end of the day, i made my decisions.

Please find attached one of my White Rhino hempies at 4 and a half weeks old.
Seems like Hempy don't post here anymore which is a pity. I wanted his advice on leaf trimming :(

Yeah grass you need 50 posts before you can use your own avatar. Sorry about the info about the coco hempy's, I didn't get a chance to read much of it, I just saw where someone was talking about it

here's the other plant i promised you, from seed in this mix i used for last grow where all my plants died when i left town. cut out the old plant inserted seed.

this seems to be working the best so far. the other one i just cut the rootball out of was all perlite in the bottom and a little coco in the top, this one is about the complete opposite, all coco on top and perlite at the bottom. roots seem to be all the way down to the res unlike the other one where the roots went an inch into the perlite layer and became rootbounded.

as you can see this one doesn't have the same issues.

figured id show you another picture proving clear pots don't make a difference.

Yeah, it's quite a read I know but you don't need to read the whole thread to learn that some judicious pruning can have a real impact on your yield.

I personally don't strip my plants as bare as he does but I can be pretty relentless about trimming off any leaves that shade a lower bud-site.

I find that if I only trim 1 or 2 leaves per day my plants don't even notice. ...pruning is your friend, lol.

Peace, SOG

Hempy is still around the web. last time I saw him he was on a site with a nice guy and his seeds.

Im getting ready to pop my beans for a winter coco hempy run. I dont pluck much, part lazy, part dont really think its necessary beyond regular maintenance.
