The Official Hempy Bucket Thread

Thats AFTER a trimming ??? :yoinks:
I'd hate to see what they looked like before !!!

They were out of control to say the least. I wasn't expecting them to boost like they did, its like they're on roids. Lol. Its just the GH flora full strength per bottles instructions with natures nectar, pure flowers.

Primal, do it! I still can't believe how simple and productive hempys are. There are no words for it. Just look at my albums, they grow at an unbelievably fast rate.

And Bozo, :tiphat: hats off to you man. That first pic is rediculous, are those 2 liters into coffee cans? Absolutely beautiful.

misse's just said yer tree was a bit sparse lol, I think it's great. art work is not to shabby.
thanks, lol, tell her that plant never did fatten up, ...she was culled after that first run.

...and while i love my grandsons, i'm a little more careful where i store my crayons now, lol. (i never did wash that artwork off either and then my no account landlord had the place foreclosed on so i had to move, and then the place burned down so the artwork is lost, lol, ...thank God i still have the grandsons!)

thanks man but you said it to Primal yourself, it ain't me, it's the hempy technology that makes it possible.

that's not to say i have no skills mind you, lol, but rather that the hempy's are so elegantly simple that even without skills, or as someone new just learning their skills, with hempy's you almost can't fail!

oh, and the actual hempy is the cut down coke bottle, the Folgers can is just a runoff tray

...this is a shot of the bottom of that one i posted above with all the purple in it.

it's a cross of my own of a female ChemD clone that was gifted to me and an AK47 daddy i popped from seed, ...my grobro calls it 'Happy Feet', lol, says it makes his feet tingle, ...gives him a big silly grin too, lol.

That's awesome bozo. Ive always been scared to keep pots that small, but people repeatedly get amazing results.

So this morning I noticed that some of my babies are going from a nice green to gnarly light green. I've been giving a 1-1-1 with gh flora for the little gals and most of each strain seem to like it but some are being difficult. Any ideas?

Pics of boys playing with cats in that manner? Bad enough havin pics of just cats (Cringe!)

Anyway, my good friend's got this Kali Mist cross currently about 6 weeks flower. You can see her sativa traits.

Hey all! Little update on the veg gals. Gave a few away and transplanted the rest, also put in a custom ghetto drain on the tray. Changed nutes to AN jungle juice because the store was out of flora. Upped watering to 3 small feedings a day.

Hempy's harvest flushing method

Hempy's harvest flushing method

I've been running Hempy buckets for about nine months now, doing both hos perlite/vermiculite, and coco with perlite res, and I am so impressed that my yields are two to three times what I've grown in soil. I'm using the Maxibloom KISS feed of every other day. I've read so many conflicting ideas on whether flushing is necessary if you lightly feed throughout the grow, to whether it's necessary to ph tap water during final flush, etc. Does anyone here know how Hempy does his actual harvest flushing? Thanks.

...i'd suggest you try different things until you find what works for you, ...and the original 'hempy' isn't around on this site any more and his claim to fame is in introducing the technique and not in being any kind of growing expert, not that he didn't or doesn't have skills 'cause he does, ...but the debate on whether to flush or not is best answered on a personal level because you will get conflicting advice and so the only way to know is to just do. ...it's only in the doing that you will know if you can taste a difference.

...btw, i run 6liter coco hempy's with grorocks in the res and i flush with molasses water for the last 2 weeks, i like to see my plants yellow up before harvey, ...but that's just me, there are many who do it different.

...here's a shot from a couple years ago when i was first trying out the hempy tech and you'll note that the 'pots' i'm using here are cut down coke bottle hempy's, the folgers cans are just runoff trays.

...btw, the 'hempy' technology is adapted from ancient Roman technology which is why 'hempy' the person deserves credit for seeing the potential and then spreading the tech among the rest of us in the canna community.

Wow, super thick colas you have there. I only flushed some Critical Mass for about a week with 7.3 tap water, and a couple people said they got headaches from the smoke. I feed less than the 7 grams of Maxibloom, so my leaves lose more of their green.Do you find the molasses aids in the flushing of salts, or do you add it because of some other reason? I've only been doing a couple plants with Hempy each grow until I get it dialed in better.

I know you did say somewhere along the way what the strain was in these pics. Also, do I remember you touting Critical Mass or some other strain? It might have been in a different thread... anywy, getting ready to do a bean order and was corious about this one...

...yeah, lol, i'd have figured you'd seen that pic so many time's you'd gotten sick of lookin' at it! ...anyway, those are a pair of White Rhino's from a pack of beans i got from 'marijuana-seeds.nl' i believe, it's been a while since i bought them.

...oh, and it was Critically Smashed x Pimp Dawg that i had although i've culled it as not special enough to warrant the space.

...i have some White Diesel x Pimp Dawg that is indeed special and both came to me in a trade with a guy on the other side of the pond, ...a very gifted grower named 'Organix' who i've sadly lost touch with, i sent him some crosses i made with some of my favorite lady's and a nice AK47 daddy that came to me in a pack from 'marijuana-seeds.nl', ...from the same order as the White Rhino's actually.

...here is a shot of that AK daddy.

...and a budshot of one of the crosses, this one with a Pure Kush that came to me as a clone so i can't swear to her lineage, i can say that the progeny came out nice with the caveat that i haven't had the space to pop more than a few so who knows what's still in the gene pool to find.

Suppose you set your hempy buckets over a reservoir, ran tubing from the hole back into the res and pumped your fert solution into the hempy buckets once a day till runoff? Would this still be a hempy?

no man, it would defeat one of the greatest features of the hempy technique which is it's elegant simplicity.

...not to mention that when you add a pump to the mix you add a potential failure point that you just don't need.
