Very nice, T.J. You are certainly rocking it with the Hempys!
Are you hand watering and are you following the Natures Nectar feeding schedule as recommended? Are you using the Pure Flowers throughout the grow or only during the flowering phase?

Thank you Capt.Ahab! Yes I am hand watering dtw, and I am following the feeding sched on the bottles. Its like N 1.5oz per 5 gal, and P&k 2.5 oz per 5 gal. I started using the pure flowers the end of week 3. I'm not sure when it was supposed to be started, I just kinda winged it lol. I skipped the organa add this grow because I can't find it here, but the plants don't seem to be showing any micro problems.

Pretty smart guy for a supposed newbie.. Extremely nice looking canopy.. smart thinking on the shallower rez. Even tho they say to not check your pH, I still would just to see where ur at.. sure looks like ur doing it right tho.. maybe next run do a couple of ur buckets with the holes at the normal 2" height and see if there's any ill results.

Perpetual harvest via hempy buckets

Perpetual harvest via hempy buckets

I would like to begin a perpetual harvest of Grandoggy Purps (chemdog x grandaddy purps). I plan on using (4) 600 watt HPS in Magnum XXXL reflectors and 5 gallon hempy buckets. I will veg for roughly 4-6 weeks before flipping to 12/12. How many 5 gallon buckets can I place under each light to maximize yield? I plan on SCROG for each plant. Any input/advice is very appreciated.

I dont think you will need 5 gallon buckets, redclay. Three gallons at the most should do it.

Lol thank you mgk, like I said, I've been a long time lurker of this specific thread and wouldn't know a thing about hempys if it wasn't for you guys! And I thought the exact same thing about the rez's and I am going to try some 2" next run with the 1".

And I agree with ahab as well, I have two in 5 gals and the rest in little 2.5gal I don't see much of a difference between the two when it comes to plant growth and bud size.

Off topic, but how exactly do I change that little icon that says newbie? Lol, I'm not trying to make people think I'm new to all of this.

I think you've got to be on long enough to accumulate enough posts to be able to edit your profile. Don't worry.. anyone seeing your pictures KNOWS you're not a newbie.. You'll get there in time, then you can change your 'newbie' to 'awesome grower'..

You just need to keep posting. That's what you get for all that lurking, when you could have been posting! :p

I think you need 30 posts, but I might be wrong about that number.

Maynard, I'm pretty sure they disabled the custom user title. That means you go from newbie to member to senior member. No more awesome grower, lol.

Right on, thank you for the quick answers! I wasn't sure if I missed it somewhere or what. Lol.

Back to hempys, here's the vegging gals, the ones I like will become moms. They're all in pure perlite with about 1/2 inch of coco and chunky perlite on the top to keep top evaporation at a minimum.

Front left-Power Africa, front middle and right-Black Diesel, back right-GHS Cheese, back middle-Rasberry cough, back left-Pineapple. All but the ghs cheese were taken off a friends mums.

I forgot to add that I can't afford to give the vegging gals NN nutes as well at $20 a bottle, so I'm using ff grow big @8 tsp and GH micro @2 tsp per 5 gal. I don't know what it is but they havnt been happier.

Lol, you also can't edit posts until you've graduated past newbie status. But whatever, it helps you, because it forces you to make new posts and then your post count goes up, and before you know it you get to edit your posts!

Check it out, I just gave you a new post to acknowledge, so you can up your count even more. ;)

Nice hempys, by the way. I'm harvesting my first-ever hempy grow myself, in 3 days. All due to this thread! I switched over from active hydroponics, specifically flood and drain.

I for one am very interested in your results. We went with 5 gallon buckets on our first hempys and I talked my partner into going with 2 gallons for the next round and he was having a hard time with it.. we went to the 2 gallons for the next round which is half way done and in a week, we'll be starting another round and going back to the 5 gallons. After that, I think we'll have the data we need to make a good decision. I must say, we've been more than impressed with the results of the 5 gallon (side note, we only filled the 5 gallons up to about the 4 gallon level. I think the biggest advantage on the smaller buckets is spending less money on substrate. We do not reuse our coco, so it's something to consider.
