Yeah i think it was said by someone else that you would be ok switching to maxi ... so ithought thats what your were going to try .... my appologies .

another thing i should mention .... is that the strengths that are given for the lucas formula are for 1000 watts of light .... if your using cfl's i'd cut those doses in half . only use the 4ml you've been using . you can add that other shit if you like .... but theres really no need for it , the fnb has enough for the plants to thrive very well . a little to much N but thats just my opinion . when i used it i flushed longer at the end to get the yellowing i wanted .

but as i said before .... good luck dude & keep reading & researching ..... it can only help :)

why are you switching from technaflora? Were you using the whole line or just some of their products? I ask cause I'm about to start running one plant with the whole technaflora line beside my others using GH flora micro/bloom to see if it makes a difference in my hempy's.

Honestly im tired of all the mixing. I am too a newbie and am in my 2nd grow right now. Just had to add a partner to the situation so I want things simple as possible. Honestly i tried technaflora because i bought 2 of the Recipe for Success Kits. For 40$ that box comes with like 100$ worth of nutes. 2 kits lasted me a whole grow and now I am almost out of boost so Im going to switch. Ive had great results with Technaflora though!

I didnt mean to confuse everyone by adding on to Lee's ? I am the one wanting to switch to Maxibloom. And i was just making sure my plants could take it. I plan on usinga supplement and an occasional Epsom salt for CalMag. I have a question still. I see they make a MaxiGro as well. I Think its more for Seeds and Clones but IDK. I know Maxibloom can be used the whole time so why would GH make this too? Im going to start Maxibloom on friday. K.I.S.S.

Oh my final #s are in on my grow. I vegged with 150 Hps and flowered with 400wHPS and yielded right at 250g. From 2 Super Silver Haze and 1 White widow x Big Bud plants. All in all i am satisfied with my turnout. I am gettin compliments from EVERYONE who tries it. Everybody is impressed i grew it. Its a good high, not too over the top though, like the not wanna go in public weed. This stuff you toke up and you have no problem thinking and acting straight. I think i overdried a few of the big colas but live and you learn. My second set of clones, veg and flower plants are all coming along beautiful. Man i love Hempy Buckets!

Maxi bloom & koolbloom powdered for a boost works great together !!!
i just didn't like the sediment it left in the bottom of my rez . if your only mixing it at a gallon or 2 at time & use it pretty quick , it should work very well for ya . just make sure ya get some runoff so the salts don't build up in the bottom of the bucket .

good luck dude :)

So how crucial would it be if I switched to maxibloom from technaflora on 4wk flower plants? Looks like I have enough boost for few more feeds so I gotta figure what to do with flower plants. I am gonna switch the veg plants asap.

about 3 months. Ps. I took the advice of everyone and tried maxibloom at lucas ratios and I find that it sucks to mix. GH 3 part works much better using lucas ratio. My plants tell me they like it better and i like it better since its 100 times easier to dissolve. besides, i go by what my plants tell me they like...not people on here

so your plants tell you they like it bc its easier to dissolve? i dont understand that one. and btw i was just seeking advice from experienced users of the product. Those girls are MONSTERS bro. Very Nice!

With maxibloom the salts tend to not dissolve easily so they get trapped in your medium and end up overferting your plants. The regular general hydro nutes are liquid so they dissolve instantly. Since switching from maxibloom my over fertilized plants bounced back ang grew tremendously fast PLUS its easier to mix

I might have a salt build up issue from the MB and KB now, It looks like Mg but after treating it for a week and no good results I went searching for answers, Now after reading stitch's guide to sick plants Im thinking its some form or phosphorus deficiency, It can't possibly be a lack of K, as Im using maxibloom and kool bloom powder which is crazy high in P and K. I tried giving them a small flush in case it was a build up and things are still looking grimm. I cant for the life of me figure this one out....maybe heat stress from these summer months?

Anyone else experience the top of the plant yellowing out, but not getting crunchy or crispy like a burn but all wimpy and flimsy leaves that yellow from the tips in, but on the top growth of the plant, the lower nodes all looks great. Any help would be appreciated.

Here´s my hempy. Bucket size 5L and the "tank" work as a 10L reservoir. 150w HPS flipped to 12/12.
Hesi Bloom soil 15ml/10L 2 drops of supervit.
Strains. White berry from paradise seeds and blue widow from DinaFem. First time hempy with a reservoir this big.

Why does everybody try to reinvent the wheel ? when the original works so great !!!:dunno:

Because I have to leave it up to a week. Not about reinventing the wheel, its about adapting.

except that your modifications make it other than a hempy.

...not saying what you're doing is wrong, it's just not a hempy-bucket.

here's a link to another modified hempy that is working pretty damned well from what i understand, but again, it's NOT a hempy any more.

passive plant killer

like i said, you can make any modifications you want and, hopefully, your modifications are an improvement but in the interests of clarity, especially for the noobs, you should probably start a thread of your own to show the specifics of your mods and the results you achieve.

...and believe me, if your mods ARE an improvement you'll WANT a thread dedicated to YOUR buckets because you WILL develop some fans.

peace, AD

Sorry dudin , but like abner said ... its not a hempy bucket its a hydro bucket ...just bigger net pots . ya might as well put an airstone in the bottom of yours so your water & nutes don't go stagnent . better yet .... just recirculate your water .

@yuno- is your medium new or recycled? I've used MB a bunch and never had that happen. But did have some issues like you're describing with improperly recycled medium.

I'm curious, has anyone tried growing plants other than canna in Hempy buckets with just maxibloom as your fert? Peppers? Toms? Baby lettuces or any other veggies?
