Too much is too much but IME many sativas really want some in early flower because of the stretch. Then after that's over it's better to cut down on it.

Thats why im looking at different soils. Ocean forest is loaded with it and sometimes they get burned. The only bag soils near me are the big brand names at Home depot. Not having that

They are saying yield will suffer if cannabis gets too little N in early bloom, so it absolutely needs it. You just have to find the limits of any particular plant you're growing.
