I hope so, or the biggest flop.
The hole test is about witch media and nutrient works best for the smart-valve we will see.

during mid-late flower, theyll need more water than regular container. due to more oxygen permeating the material.

the roots will grow thru the material, as well. out, into the basin.
or, out thru the material & mat itself along the sides of the bags...
they dont really need to be watered, as they will grow down into present moisture by themselves, or self-prune & branch inside of the bag.

1...the 100% perlite much easier to mng... very re-usable, too.
2...but, the 60/40 coco/perlite is proven near-perfect blend... as to water/air ratio.

either/or only require water 1x per day (24hrs)...

why so many fertilizers?
difficult to narrow scope of media test w/ simultaneous fert test...

however, as long as scientific documentation consistent, should be able to gather some quantifyable results...

the bags (material) will keep roots well aearted & healthy... those are ... the different ferts seem like total different exam... good luck, on both.

enjoy your garden!

why so many fertilizers? because i can.

I don't think u know to much about the autopot system the smart-valve is the heart of the system it will take care of all the watering. it is a none recirculating system so the ph will not need to be adjusted once set.As for the fertilizers i don't think it will be to hard as the canna nutrients are one part to easy, i got the Cal-max to take care of any problems. it is a test so i will find out what works and what doesn't.

The Canna Coco for the coco media.
Canna Terra for the Terra media, get it.
The autopot nutrients because it is a autopot system with out the pot:) As for Dutch Master gold it is the best so i am interested in seeing how one of the cheapest nutrient i can get the autopot nutrient will go up agents the most expensive Canna&Dutch Master.

very impressive. i dig the clean setup. makes me want to redesign my smart-valve tray, but i'll need to get my hand on some of those covers you got to keep the hydroton from interfering with the float system.

go craven_au! :gday:

Some More info on the smart-valve http://www.autopot.com.au/default.aspx?PageID=3a2245a5-cb2a-4f1e-89d3-58713cac0871

The Smart-valve is the heart of the system. It is small enough to fit on the palm of your hand, mainly plastic construction and consists of two
chambers. Its very nature makes it a comparatively low cost item which is very important because its low cost is what makes it practical to have a valve for each individual container and this is the very crux of the system’s versatility. It has several patents filed as many of the world’s main growing countries and the exact details of its operation are ones that we do not freely reveal. It is different to the conventional ball cock type of float valve because it allows total reduction of the fluid level before it refills. It is a real revolution in the way it allows water to be applied. When connected to a water supply (which can be from either pressure reduced mains or tank) the valve opens to allow water to enter the bot-tom of the growing container to a pre determined and pre set depth (usually 35mm). The valve then closes and will permit no further water to enter the container until all the original supply has been conveyed from the water chamber to the pot and consequently to the plant. This absorption is achieved by capillary action that naturally occurs in the growing medium. Once the water has been absorbed to the extent that the film of water under the valve has gone, the valve re-opens and another supply of water enters the growing container. This is how he damp and drying out cycle occurs.

Day 4 12/12

Day 4 12/12

No real problem yet the Big buds clones do look a bit dry-

So far the Snow white clones in 100% coco look the best

The rest look more or less the same.

Need to add that 3cm of Hydroton was added to the
Bottom of the 100% canna Terra and 5cm/2'' was added to the 100% nutrifield coco media

Day 6

Day 6

I think the media test is over the Coco and canna Terra is kicking ass over the perlite. 1 down side to coco and canna Terra is the free insect that come with it, a small mite problem should have it under control soon.

Coco&terra.

Perlite.
