I have a few bat houses set up around the garden. Skeeters weren't too bad to begin with to be honest. Black flies are much worse

I know.... Still 2024 right? That means prepping for 2025 started this fall / winter. Seeing as I was gone for 2 months for a real

estate venture the best time is the present

The sickest seaweed comes in after storms. This stuff is no exception

I flattened the biobed, added a skim coat of loud pack og tea, then a thick coat of this sick already

Now I have more room for plants in a whole bed that's nutrient rich.

Nothing like getting some premium sawdust (for paths), free beach wood (bed and wall retainers)

and I totally forgot about a bag of spent coffee beans shells from my nieghbor who makes craft, single sourced, primo coffee from his roasting house. It looks like saw dust but smells like rich, Quad chocolate

One of the most overlooked, underrated medical herbs today is actually Celery.

My wife turned me into it when we first got together and do it religiously.

It has "soduim cluster salts" helps with over 500 functions and afflictions in the body from weight loss, guts cleanse, liver health, pain and inflammation, brain plaque, allergies, ibs etc

Cheap, easy, effective.

Garlic is a month behind but we have highs of 10C everyday so not worried about a late summer harvest.

People claim bc is "so expensive" and they have a small point. But in the last 2 weeks I've got 1200 of free seaweed and 600 worth of free wood (maybe more) and 500.00 worth of free sawdust

So really depends what limitations we put on ourselves

Me too and I downloaded a bunch of papers on it. It first caught my attention due to the Sativa in it's name. Before I opened the page I thought it was an article about Nigerian cannabis or something but after reading about it,it sounds like it has a long medicinal history in India. I believe nature grows excellent medicine and much of what we take in pill form is synthesized from nature anyway and then we go to the doctors and get prescriptions but the planet offers cures or treatments that are safe and free. I watched a video of a gorilla with a large open sore under its eye and it was using a plant and made a poultice with water from it and put it on his sore and it healed it in short order. And we think we are so smart.

Took care of binniss today.

Pimped out a old bed with beautiful black gold we have been making at the bottom of the garden. Then dropped a thick layer of hebrew hay then

sea weed on it

With it being sunny and 11 degrees C today I managed with the help of the Mrs. To convert 2 digesting biobeds into 1 without stealing anymore black gold from our bottom bed

All i had to do was
- dump one bed onto the other
- flatten it out and cover it with seaweed
- measure a 24 inch path, spread it out and cover it with cardboard and primo sawdust

I'm stoked to be finally moving away from any more plastics.

There was enough seaweed to benefit my lavender wall today too.

Although lavender is quite robust and low maintainance they should get just as much love as the veggie garden.

In the near future I will be poaching some black gold from the bottom bed and giving em a small skim coat too

Smashed another bed real quick this a.m.

2 biobeds turned to one. Lots of incredible breakdown and mycelium going to wok.

Busting up a microsystem is not that beneficial short term but I have bulk amounts of powdered b- kind my 13 in one beneficial b suppliment.

So now we are finally in a set it and forget it situation and so stoked to get rid of more plastic
