Hey Med,
Well.....That all depends on what you are going to be running......I have to install a dedicated electrical panel for each room. I could answer the question better if I knew how much power you are running.
One easy way is to use the 220 outlet available in most homes for the clothes dryer. That is usually a 50 amp circuit, which can run a good sized grow room.

To be honest I would like to have the same setup you are currently running but with a sog style in soil. I dont know if you have harvested yet but what would you expect yield wise for a grow with 12 600 watt hps??
Thanks
Med

sonoma, wonderfully done, i hope you set up hundreds more like it.

2 questions: do you have smell control in these things?
have you ever done one of these outside CA/the US?

keep it up loverboy

Thanks Muddy Waters, I hope so too.
I use over the counter carbon filters, the size I use depends on the room size. They don't eliminate the smell, but they help out.
I've grown outside of CA, but nothing like these. I'd love to build these things all over the world. My partners and I always joke about building them in weird places around the world.

hey i got a really WEIRD place right here in my backyard.

no seriously.

thanks for getting back to me about the smell. i'd like to put something like this in the basement or even better on the roof of a legitimate aquaculture business (which doesn't exist yet). but smell is the thing that makes it difficult. sound slike you gotta get everything super airtight for the carbon filter over the extraction fan approach to be 100% efficient. and i don't know shit about construction but i'm guessing that air-tightness costs something (or is there some other reason?)

I'd love to build one in your backyard.
In my opinion, the carbon filters work good enough, and airtightness makes things a lot better. There are ways to make any situation work, and work good.

lots of problems, other than that, not much good going on. One of the strains I'm growing in there, J-27 looks awesome. First run failed, second run 1/2 have died, still working out some kinks. Kind of a mystery. Thanks for checking back. Hopefully I'll get some more pics soon.

2nd harvest. herb didn't turn out that good once again. We actually removed 3 lights, because, dare I say, there may have been too much light. I think someone said that in the begining of this thread, well we'll see now. Down to 9 lights to try to improve the conditions. Planted today. All Purple kush.........cross your fingers....

That does look much better.Just a little correction for folks building their own service in a growroom. The dryer receptacles are 240V but are usually only 30A not 50,the range receptacle on the other hand is the one to use for a 50A subpanel.
