Is it the largest indoor production site now or is the goal to be the largest in the future?
Will you still make seeds for us as well? If not I foresee a runon Medman genetics. Damn I wish I wasn't always broke...seriously still hoping to get the rockstar kush so hoping you keep it going brother. Peace sdd
i am pretty sure that the first projected plan is 16,000 kw bulbs mind you i will be using 600, so 26,000 600's
there is a ton of room to expand. they have put aside 50,000 sq/ft for my continued breeding and r/d which i will also be overseeing

Will you or your employees have to take drug tests ? wondering how you handle that type of thing with a larger sized oppy like that .
I guess you are refering to indoors under lights? Because I have seen greenhouses much much bigger, filled with Cannabis.
My greenhouse just used for R&D and breeding, is bigger then 50,000 sq/ft
I have had it for 20 years. I have had greenouses that were upto 200,000 sq/ft, one of several. Not for breeding....
I am not trying to rain on your parade, I wish you the best of luck,
I am just trying to show that there is little new under the sun.
I suspect the future is not under lights if the goal is cheaper Cannabis products for patients, you can produce the same quality in a greenhouse at a fraction of the price. You say $5 a gram, not really so cheap, WAMM sold their best for $1-$2 a gram.
"And Prairie Plant Systems has a plan for that already. Through its CanniMed subsidiary, the company says it will offer 3 different strains of cannabis at a price of $9-12 a gram. Those prices are about the same as what you find on the street or at non-authorized compassion clubs."
That, and what is the carbon footprint to do this? Or doesn't that matter?
Prairie Plant Systems (PPS) is the parent company of AMMCAN, they are not known for producing the finest Cannabis, are they? Are you concerned about them being your boss? And what about your "run my company with a not for profit model" is that up in smoke now that you are a small cog in a big wheel?
The 100-150 new hybrids are any true breeding or are they all varieties that you grow and then buy more seeds to grow again? Or you can make a clone if you want. You know that I like open pollinated true breeding varieties, but not many breeders like to produce them as it is so easy for other breeders to use them to make their own F1 hybrids.
My only advice is only do what you enjoy, and nothing lasts forever so do it while you can.
All the best,
