@RainerRocks It's IKEA coco and 1/2 L coke bottle. The cloth is landscapingfabric so roots will grow right through in a few days. Have used it a lot. It will have an airgap between the roots and the rez. Fair enough?
I think there has been a missunderstanding here. Or maybee one of the pics is not showing to you. The fabric is over the top of the coke bottle to keep the coco in place.
Here is the pic again and I think all the criteria you write down is in this "construction".
Not afraid to get alge, all black down the rez. Have grown with passive hydro for a few years and soil for 10y and I have a good feeling about this one.

still no problem 1/2 of the water is aquarium water. Never tried it but it seems to work ok.
