Raho, I believe you that it was super tasty. and yes, if I want to grow something like that I would choose your chem4haze over NL5haze. I am sure.
one thing is intensity of taste and another thing is palette. not every hybrids, despite its intensity, have such rich palette as good haze. haze is maybe colombian hybrid, but there are other components which makes it special and more rich terps. when outcrossed this wide palette can be lost easily. great hybrid is the one that has not only intensity, but palette too imo. I mean it is not so hard to choose haze male which brings the potency. but palette I see it very problematic with males. and using haze female in this case, it seems more easier way to keep terps palette in hybrid.
Right on. I'll paraphrase . . .
We're talking about complementary pairings.
Not every cross of 2 different killer plants results in something better than the parents, or even good for that matter.
Also, good point about the extra unknowns using genetically male pollen donors,
Can't remember where I heard this, but it really rings true for me . . .
Breeding for superior female flowers using a genetic male is like breeding humans for large breasted females.
You can't tell by looking at the father if his genetics are going to contribute positively or negatively to the goal until you see the results in the offspring.
Cheers !
