I kinda thought the furry ones were the big stalks with tiny heads. Kinda looks similar to the furry looking buds that are in the tube after open blasting butane knocks the head off

If you stop to judge a plant for how frosty it is, you are missing out on a lot ....
It's time to "feel" the plants, it's not enough just to see them.

Here is some useful info on trichome selection which I think is intrinsically related to haze.
trichomes are specific to cannabinoid and terpene synthesis. Peltate trichomes produce sequiterpenes. They have 4 to 8 cell on top which act as a reservoir and first line of defense against herbivores. Basically sit flat on surface and are predominately on sugar leaves and stems
Stalked trichomes are what we're all accustomed to.. they produce thc/thcv and all monoterpenes. Predominately on inflorences but also leaves stems
cbg trixhomes are similar to stalked but they are a milky hazeybappearance and shorter stalk
Finally cbc is synthesized in sessile trikes. These are prevalent during earlierbin bloom cycle and taper off later in flower. Here are some pictures

Hempy what do you run your temps and humidity at? You've found the sweet spot for sure. Guessing they're 600s? I think it's cool you and sammy get such great results with single hps. I tried switching to leds and really liked them for most part. But tge change in transpiration due to low infrared heat did cause some complications. Ended up adding a tube heater which definitely helped. [/QUOTE

Hi piff my temps and humidity very i follow the (kiss principle) keeping it simple i have a passive exhaust and intake set up plus a Fan and a exhaust fan so i have lots of fresh air coming in and air movement in and warm air going out.

The 2 plants are under a 600 but i have a 400 in there to.

The genetics play the largest roll i would love to take the credit but it really is the genetics at work here sure i have a few things to offer but it all comes down to the genetics.

That goes for all sativas Johnny.

What i noticed is in early flower you be lucky to pick up any real smells from the flowers or even resin then as they start to flower and develop you start to pick up early smells and resin on your fingers if you tough them.

Around mid flower is when the magic really starts and if its a seed plant and you know the genetics your working with is when you have some idea of what you have.

But you always need to smoke it to confirm it.

The frostiness type is slowly killing the cannabis industry. Mac1 and purple punch being great examples of looking like they will blown your mind with the amount of 'frost' and as soon as you smoke them, you realise that they are bland boring smoke.
Frosty Marijuana is killing the cannabis industry? guess it’s a relative thing , but I don’t know how much Mac 1 experiences you have had ? ,and completely disagree with you..I find it to be a balanced 50/50 head & body type of effect .. did you grow your own or did you buy it from someone else? I’m on the East Coast & The second it’s available it sells out & My customers have tasted a lot of strains..It smells incredible ,it tastes incredible , the effects are fantastic And it’s very potent …I’m not sure what’s not to like… please don’t misconstrue this post( in friendship:)) & My opinion is just from observations and personal experience..I guess your mileage may vary … peace from flower 🌺 power

Mac1 is potent and balanced. It’s actually not boring unlike most modern stuff. I made some rso from it that was so strong it made me puke. Only had that happen one other time. I mean wow. I grew it a couple runs beginning of 2020 I may try and get it back.
Most sativas IMO put on the resin in the second half of flowering. I really like it when a sativa swells at the very end and surprises you with nice sized calyxes and resin.
