I never knew Colombian Red was called Puntos Rojos
It's hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that the oldtimers were able to loose all those pure NLD genetics even though the buds most often came heavily seeded. That must have been billions of seeds wasted every year. But then again not everyone is a seed addict like me.

I never knew Punto Rojo was called colombian red and I am afraid everything is pretty much distorted today because Punto Rojo is extinct and the only thing surviving carrying that name are the hybridized plants rescued during the 21st century in Colombia which are Punto Rojo hybridized with crippy weed which is the name of the hybrid strain that took over all of Colombia and is what is grown today
Punto Rojo production probably stopped begining of 90s. By the milennia it was all hybridized, same thing happened in Paraguay which is the major ganja producer in South America
I bought a supposedly colombian red hybrid sold as Punto Rojo hybrid from Bodhi and what I got is an afghan looking plant with an indica high
This is the same as buying a Thai Stick hybrid and getting indica plants. Real Punto Rojo should be dominant in crosses
Back in the 20th century, in South America you were able to get colombian brick and it always came with seeds crashed and/or pressed in it. A small % of those seeds did germinate and the plants obtained were all thin leaf plants looking same same, not like today brick when you germinate seeds from it and what you obtain is a phenotype carnival of indicas
Punto Rojo is the best there ever was, the best there ever be and the best there ever will be

Punto Rojo might have adapted to someones garden and might have been kept as heirloom but I dont think is the same as the times when it was landrace, everybody in Colombia grew it and competition in order to obtain an extra buck was for the best quality
But the times when Punto Rojo was the strain grown all over and was made amazing bricks from are gone together with the knowledge of how to make those bricks
Punto Rojo as the colombian national landrace is extinct as a result of the War on Drugs together with the most valuable sativa landraces from this planet
Whatever might have survived that massacre has adapted to their new habitats

Here is an up date on the girls i got a little artistic and did a few in black and white.
The plant i call the HzA leaner is about 9ft tall so had to bend and train still stretching as is the other.
The plant i call the HzC leaner
Group shot
I could of got them even larger and a lot more flower mass but it has been starting to get very warm so just crammed them in together under a 600 HPS to limit the heat.
This ones for Star thin leaf contest from the HzA leaner.
Setting the timer to 11/13 from 7/17 was key lol.
The seed run had me scratching my head as they acted nothing like the F1s but now with the timer set right the plant called HzA leaner acts like her parents.
The HzC keener is gift as in all the NH i ever ran i never had any plant with a hint of Mango smell let alone a full on Mango smelling Nevils Haze.
