There should be different selections of the same strain, therefore of the same genetics ... Of course the current offerings of nirvana, h.fantaseeds or tfd are blatantly hybridized, but the other versions are ok

Using different selections from the same genetic pool changes a lot from the original parents used to make OH.. IMO it wouldn't be the same OH anymore. A name change would be appropriate anytime something is changed/different so there is no confusion. That's why it's all messed up seeing OH plants from different makers. IMO unless you are using the identical parents used to make OH you should call it something else.

Heterosis masks weaknesses but we'll not see any real transgressive segregation until further recombination generations and then to fix that is another story altogether. The NL hybrids had best going for them that it was weak germplasm i been warning folk about them small head long before robs cc article.

i have never thought to cross out to another haze line to be honest i don't trust them lol. This latest one Sam let go via todd i guess that one looks the most interesting to me. I really do think Sam is at heart an honest man and that the release is likely legit.

Folk can remember it anyway they like but for me Colombian was a bit like a fine cerebral ghani with a bzzzzz auditory in the background. Thai absolutely blew it out of the water. It just cut way deeper into your soul. The price did not go from 300 to 1800 for nothing.

haha ,
na just 2 phenos of shantis ibl mango haze ,
a fat one that smelt like mango ,
and the thinner one with the aroma that i recognise as translating into that smelly incense aromas when burnt ,
my preference is the thinner one ,
and from all accounts from folks trying them , it was the more potent of the two ...

Transgression is the tendency of progeny upon re*combination to surpass the extremes of either parental line. This is beyond heterosis (hybrid vigor) which mearly masks weaknesses in parental lines. Transgressive segregation is the beginning of all genetic improvement.

We been through this before In the lay. Black guy x white chick = molato. Faults were repaired and very predictable outcome. But go one more gen and boom yellowman jamaica nice blue eyes blonde afros. Now we getting somewhere we never been before and this is where true genetic improvement begins.

THH, Both are growing/stretching 4-6" every 24hrs. 1st pheno has a different structure than the 2nd. I still need to clean out the lowers. All are drinking 2 liters every 24hrs.. They're both happy/healthy as they could be:D. I will get a few pics of 1990 OH tomorrow.

I think thats what sam refers to as his thai laos....I cant rember the year but from the 70's.....sam had afew old thais not long back.....im sure reef managed to get some.... I do also remember seeing on one of sams old listenings a hybrid containing thai haze and kerlan in one seed...no skunk in that.

Better to just call it laos lol his decent thai was long gone by then. Back from the '70's my ass.
