there,s a thread on black lime , the grower got stupid numbers out of 200gallon smart pots like think one was 14 pound . others 9,10 something like that .

certainly interested in what top_shelf thinks . clearly he's got growing skills , any pics of black lime ?

I had 4 black limes all of which were different in structure but all had the same amazing lime/fuel flavor. All 4 are crazy potent as well. As far as yield 2 were a little smaller but had solid buds all the way through, both yielded around 5 in 200's. the other two were way bigger plants with huge buds but a little looser. After the tops came off the inside stuff didn't really chunk out like I hoped, definitely affecting yield. The 2 bigger ones went 7 and 8 lbs.

i have grown the Royal Kush outdoors, and seen it grown in a big garden. it performs very well.

the smell reminds me of cherry pie but with a bit more fuel/kush. Yield is good, bag appeal is great. Chunky frosty light-green buds with a faint purple tint. Finishes pretty early too.

wasn't it originally from a different seed company? also damn those aficionado seed packs are expensive. you could get 5 packs of Bodhi for the same price .

yea the royal is originaly from Ras Truth of emerald mountain seeds...i remember growing royal years back and loving it, straight kush gas. only strain i kept a HP for headstash....but Ras passed away and now Humboldt Seed Organization has taken on the torch. but aficionado are their homies and are also using RK in their breeding, its a emerald triangle heirloom. got a bunch of a royals and other various strains from them and gonna pick up some more from HSO soon.

Been wanting some Aficionado seeds for a while now, but I never make it up to those clubs. 3 hours away from me. Sticking to bodhi Ancient Og, Sky Lotus, ATF crosses. A fraction of the price of Aficionado seeds also. I am getting 24 Bodhi seeds for 76$ delivered right now. Hard to beat that.

Got a pack of black lime in the vault.

Wonderland sifted through a bunch of aficionado gear, and came out with some stand out cuts, fwiw. Member bm504 has done some documentation on ic of the bl as well as 78 afghan ect

Mean Gene is doing good work...I remember the show high grade all stars did at reggae rising years ago....he has this cool line "...I was taking clones back in 1990, put in 17 years and you'll be right behind me.."

Awesome. That royal is for real too. Just got access to 4kings which is 3kings hit with royal pollen. Clones of that and others from the royal line just went east to butte as well...just fyi

Getting that outdoor growing itch looking at a yard full of empty beds.... can't wait for march to pop some beans! Anyone have any upgrades for the garden in mind? I'm thinking a small hoop house for light dep, a few new 8x8 raised beds and plumb in a whole new drip system.

Cant wait for next season! Its closer than it seems!

So I remember pono saying his buddy in those monster plant pics starts beans in february and plants may 1st to get them that size. I also remember reading people saying that april 1st starts are going to be the same size regardless of say march 1st starts. Is there anyone with experience that can vouch for this theory and explain a little further? I understand that plant health is priority number one here... but i really cant see a 2ft seed start planted in june being the same size as a 6ft seed start planted in june at the end of the year- assuming there both grown right.

My plan as of now is to start my seeds indoors at the end of february or march 1st at latest and veg indoors until middle of april at earliest and may 1st at the latest (weather permitting)- and then get them to the greenhouse to veg for may with supp lighting. I would prefer to get my indoor starts to the land for middle of april in the greenhouse and than plant may 1st in full season pot's with supp lighting... But im at 3800ft elevation so frost or hail could possibly happen. I would build hoop houses over my rows for the month of may but still not sure how i would heat them all if it got cold.

If i dont decide to plant in big pots may 1st- I will have 2 24 x 36 ft greenhouses that i could continue to veg them in- that can be heated with pellet stove for month of May. A concern if this route is taken, is the root restriction's the plants will have. Im thinking ill just start them all with a pro mix style mix that is light peat based and feed organic plant soluble nutes instead of getting heavy dirt thats a pain to move around.

Decisions Decisions.

Hopefully in the future they will just do away with plant counts so growing monsters isn't necessary... But its a fun challenge none the less.
