I take the whole thing. I dont De-leaf. I cut branches like Joes holding in the picture above and hang.

If I had a smaller grow I'd probably go for a 2nd pull but for now I just focus on the meat and potatoes.

I'm guessing that's just a single branch and not a single plant, looks like 3 for sure and maybe 4 oz's. Curious how your plants are doing as far as insect and disease issues, mostly wondering about p.m and botyritis showing up this late. I realize you pay a lot of attention to balanced soil and mineralization, but some of your wide girls would not seem to get a lot of air circulation within.

I fought grasshoppers...fuck those little bastards. But other than that zero fungal or insect pressure. My blue dreams and green crack are both purple from cold nights. Freeze warning tonight. I remain unworried. Taking them long really helped quality and density

I've got 72 big plants. If I had a smaller grow I'd probably go for a 2nd pull but for now I just focus on the meat and potatoes.

its def a numbers game if you want results .

At least two chops....2 wks apart

Was wondering how you guys did it in CO when it starts to freeze, the OR guys can 2chop when the weather is nice. Weather looks like it's finally turning on Sunday for the Northern Sierras - our Dreams are the last ones standing and will coming down this weekend.

It's been a fortunate Fall - lots to be thankful for🙌🏻 Hope everyone finishes strong.

every single plant chopped as of last night…no thanks to another visit by the local sheriff department.

the blessing is they hit us two weeks too late, and actually forced us to close down our scene early which i can't complain about because I'm ready to get the fuck out of here!

Trimpal vs hand definitely going with a few trimmers instead of roughing up buds. Chopped everything except hazes In half and lettin em enjoy the next few sunny days.

I'm in CO and don't usually worry about the frosts. IME if they're hydrated and healthy they don't seem to mind to much. A friend of mine who is at a higher elevation borrowed a practice from the citrus tree farmers who spray the buds down with water so that they are hydrated enough so that the freeze doesn't burst the cell walls.

this is not due to tissue hydration.

the reason citrus and grape growers spray fruit before a freeze is that the water on the outside of the fruit freezes and insulates the fruit tissue from the freeze. fruit igloo

is the hand trim on the left? that one looks less roughed up to me. trimpal looks like it cleans pretty cleanly... have you noticed that bud density plays a big role in the effectiveness of the trimpal or the quality of the end product produced?

If the sap is high brix the plant can survive a frost. I don't know to what degree below freezing but I've had broccoli survive what I think was a 20 degree F night.

Hope you big plant people pulled it all in safely. The monsoons just started at my place.

Worked at an orchard that had apples, peaches, strawberries and vegetables. The peach crop was always hit or miss because of late frosts. They would run the sprinklers on freeze nights to try and maintain 32 degrees in the buds. It was 27 degrees when they would have losses. Worked pretty well, but sometimes they would even bring in a helicopter, I'm assuming that was a colder night. Cant use them together though. It takes repeated applications of water, every thirty minutes or more. It's the process of freezing that generates 80 calories of heat per gram of water. Below 24 it does not work at all.
