Madjag, that's one good looking patio man, love the clear roofing, the floor and just imaging having breakfast early in the morning next to those plants is just awesome :)

those plants are huge considering how little direct sun-light they get; however, the day-light itself is pretty bright. also really like how secure and private it seems.

I had this tropical greenhouse I built in the backyard of a place I used to live at, it is a sub-tropical photoperiod, only 6-7 hours of direct sun-light, and only up to 12 a day of day-light. even the most adapted cultivars would not grow half as big as the ones in your patio.

peace!

Just traded in my trim pal for a triminator. I'm hoping the long cylinder style tube will be more gentle than the larger front loading dryer style drum. I'll provide an update after I've put it through the stress test.

Anyone here run one of these before?

Did you get the wet or dry? Please let us all know the results.

Come on Orchard, that sounds like unnecessary West Coast back patting about how superior the West Coast is to the East. The trimming method you despise has to be some 'East Coast nonsense'? It's just a trimming choice and I highly doubt there's any correlation to location. There seem to be far fewer wet trimmers than dry and I can tell you that I don't know a single wet trimmer where I am back East. I don't know why you guys out there can't just enjoy it and feel the need to take pot shots at your Eastern brethren.

Well I cannot agree more Luther. Orchard should not rub it in how much better the West Coast is compared to the East. Having sub zero temperatures each winter and a shorter growing season is punishment enough. Shame on you Epic. 50 lashes with a wet noodle at noon for you boy ;) I'm originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, a good state to be FROM. LOL

The East Coast is a huge beast bamboo. The NE might have ass weather but there are parts of the coast on the same latitude as NorCal with 200+ frost free days. When they finally let us outdoors properly and our arms aren't tied behind our backs we'll see who brings the ruckus. Much love to your part of the West Coast though!

Just pulling your leg bro. I remember growing huge beasts in Michigan back in the 80's outdoors when peeps were not even aware you could grow outdoors there, or grow good erb in the U.S. at all. The bomb was Colombian smuggled fresh out of Latin America which was going for $200 a pound in quantity. Boy, how things have changed. Don't miss the cold though, that's for sure Later Bro, just havin some good fun is all. ;)

True, if florida goes for it, some parts could do year round light dep with minimal cost. With a climate that would rival some of the best spot in cali to boot, still gotta watch out for them hurricanes though. Not too many guys up in the mountains i know worrying about seasonal earthquakes.

Remember, It was "We the people", in every state of the west coast who voted it in regardless of what "they" wanted to let us do. You might net ever get a chance to do things properly oustide they way things are going. Even Washington wont allow rec. home grows, I think illinois is taking medical into their own hands and not allowing home grows. Just something to keep in mind if your trying to bring the ruckus is all.

Adding to your post.

Colorado is severely limited in numbers (specified in A64).
6 per person over 21 years of age. 3 in bloom...only,,, as well.
Outdoor growing is almost ludicrous, due to the 'enclosed' and 'secure' verbage.
To say nothing of the 'from public view' part.

I think we need an Amendment, to the Amendment!

That said, the Greenhouse Business seems to be booming here. lol

Anyone tended the charlottes web outdoors, the people who blessed me with it told me it doesn't like intense light... I can do them In a Green house with a shade curtain if necessary

The deGier motor for my blackout started blowing oil out of the side. Getting a new one put in on Monday...ordered a door from Farmtek because you can't get doors from Envirotech apparently..

Sorry man, thats not at all what I meant. I meant to say that the twister is used for california bud that is sold to the east coast, not grown and processed over there.

I'm actually really impresssed by outdoor growers on the east coast. Its crazy the kind of quality that can be produced in some really inhospitable climates. Hats off to you, and sorry for the misunderstanding.

The Stanley brothers in Colorado have Charlottes web growing outdoors in full sun along with c.w.crossed with hemp. They have acres of it growing and they are calling them both hemp and plan on being able to sell the oil from the plants across state lines to even non-med states by calling it a supplement or herbal remedy. The link has video of the fields. www.nytimes.com/.../bid-to-expand-medical-marijuana-business-faces-federal-hurdles.html

Yea K. But who knows if that translates.

Based on the soil tests I see pH is maybe a better indication of how full the battery really is provided you don't have way too much nitrate in there mucking things up. High organic matter and a balaced starter fertilizer makes sense

What did late tissue tests shoe re: K:Ca? Should be lots of Ca in the tissue.

Only went as late as the 1st of September with the tissue analysis. Any later than that and the petioles would stink too much. I'm trying to pass them off as hops. My K was always around 5% with Ca around 3.5%.
