200 gallons of amended native soil with lots of perlite and rice hulls. They compost tea 1x weekly and also feed with Maxsea 1x weekly

man it must be nice to live where you can grow trees like that!!!! where i live in the southern us you would be risking a lot to have trees like that close to where you live, maybe one day,we will be free to be all that we can be
there were other factors involved, but 200s killed mounds this season. the 200s involved a fuckload more work though, 3x daily waterings. weekly top dresses, more teas, etc. it kind of parallels what I've seen indoors in hydro setups where small pots with multiple waterings push out bigger colas because the plant is root bound and triggers something extra.
there were other factors, 200s got twice the nodosum and had a few extra hours of sunlight. mounds got barely any added nutrition after the terrible soil tests, less sun, just meant the nugs were smaller and didn't stack as well as the 200s.
GG did fucking awesome this year outdoors, i was about to chalk it as a shit strain because of my early chop but after letting it run another week it bulked up alot and is icy! my favorite strains outdoors this year was skywalkerOGxFireAlien and one special Asteroid LVPK dominant pheno….il have a bunch of pics up later just not alot of time to upload and post right now.
Just getting done taking down today ...1500 sq ft for drying is awesome
^gotta be a good feeling almost all my homies are done as well and i seriously can't wait until every mound is empty. i still got 9-10 of the asteroids out…damn haze hybrids still going!

I dont have any euro girls....but homegirl can suck a golf ball through a garden hose.....hopefully her friends can too....if I can manage getting healthy and some sleep ill get some pics up. sorry for slacking. got some weird rash all over me that im hoping is from stress and not the onset of diabetes....happy harvest
gcg- the rash might be from the weed? certain strains especially the sours and glues give me crazy rashes on my arm and neck whenever i touch the live resin….it goes away as soon as you rinse off.
even handling the dry herb can lead to major allergies, I have to wear a mask when bagging up LBs for hours and hours. my main job this harvest has just been weighing, tabbing, bagging, consolidation and movement of product. i have zero time to be out deleafing, dry trimming or any of that other work. the bagging and movement alone is turning out to be a full time job.

same here. it's nice though because that's kind of "the bosses job" because it requires some mental effort and creativity unlike that other bullshit harvest work. Everyone else has their fiskars and loppers I have my ledger and triple-beam and box of turkeybags and stack of rubbermaids. I dont have any weed allergies but My main partner has horrible weed allergies, he sounds like he's dying, coughing up shit all day and choking himself awake at night. house full of weed = bad times for Drue Bleam

I think trimming is like hand watering. If it can be done without your own personal manual labor, then wouldnt it be wise to spend your time on higher level gardening practices? Or better yet, how about expansion, networking, or building another business altogether.
It's my experience that higher level gardening practices free me up to network , establish new businesses and do things like rock a winter run...
I still find time to do most the harvesting , bucking. All the ledger work , make all my appointments and pay attention to my personal relationships ...
I'm curious what you guys are doing that just serving your trimmers eats up all your day. It just takes a few minutes to serve them a few grocery bags and about 45 min at the end of the night for tally at the summer camp

Any of you guys run a solo show? I grow, harvest and distribute 100% of my crop. I run my own electrical and build my own infrastructure. (I paid for the greenhouse) I only produce about 30 units on a good year (up to date) and it's a lot of work doing everything yourself. I have a possibility of hiring a family member full time next year, but that only makes two. I know you large crews like to get your product out of the field and onto the market ASAP. However, since I am running solo I don't mind trimming for an extra month if needed and getting rid of product in Dec, Jan. However I have a great hook now that will most likely get the herb off my hands very quickly.
You guys that are upper management now, did you guys run your own farms? Or have you been part of a group the entire time? Working in construction I understand the difference between running solo and large jobs. Small jobs are easy, and the larger the job, the more exponential the work becomes. However, running my own grows for the last 15 years has allowed me to see what is needed to maintain a profitable canna biz.
Just wondering how most others got their starts. Group or solo.

Im a lone wolf. No full partners. Made my bones on indoor, now I'm doing the outdoor thing. I have to rely on people because otherwise I would need to be in 4 geographic locations simultaneously. This year thankfully I'm just buying groceries, the team is doing all the cooking and cleaning which is outstanding.
As with any artisan craft that turns into a business, success hinges on your ability to maintain quality control and performance through selective hiring and delegation of tasks.
I'm not sure who owns lauganitas Brew co, but I can't imagine hes bottling beer everyday.
We all have different ambitions and strategies, but after helping a family member build a multi million dallar business, this is the strategy i personally find most effective.
As with any artisan craft that turns into a business, success hinges on your ability to maintain quality control and performance through selective hiring and delegation of tasks.

Well following and contributing in this thread for years I didn't see much progress of 4-4,5Kg per plant.
Hence that, I don't see needs for more of 1m3 /200gallons per plant.
