well 315 for one controller that you can hook up to as many different probes as u want, in what looks like whatever arrangement in the pot you want. ie: one in the upper layer and one in the lower layer to meassure depth of water penetration. the probes are 90 bucks for 10, which isnt bad. not to mention that if you were to contact the actual manufacturer and buy in bulk you could atleast get wholesale pricing.

my guess is that to make that system work you would need some kind of board that the individual meters connect to and then route that to the meter itself. somehow rigging the meter to cycle through the individual sensors placed in the different pots and then either averaging those readings or triggering a valve to open up for the pot that needs to be watered.

thats not my skill set to how you would program that to work. but i bet BB could make that happen and run with it, or know why it wouldnt be possible.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Awww c'mon Tom, let's show em some really shocked plants!

I transplanted 6 days ago, here's an example of a shocked plant 2 days ago, and then a picture of the same plant this morning. They are recovering nicely and faster than I had hoped...lots of foliar w/Kelp, mostly cloudy days and higher than normal humidity have only helped....I certainly spent a few days testing out my old heart due to stress. Live and learn, things got away from me indoors as I was trying a new approach this year. You win some, you lose some. I had "back-ups" for everything just in case, never know, may still need them with my luck so far! :)

Here's another, well on the road to recovery, not 100% but getting there...

But these little Chem D's never skipped a beat, truth be told, my goal was to get them all plugged in at this size, it's optimal..

And this last one is strictly for SHOCK VALUE!! (Don't worry, she's looking MUCH better now!)

you know, this place is like a think tank. a conglomeration of like minded people getting together to discuss and promote new ideas as well as pass on tried and tested hard learned experience for the betterment of the community as a whole.

I spent some time tonight looking through individual county mmj guidelines. the lake county bos proposal and the shutting down of 600 dispensaries in la as well as other similar stories across this state have me concerned that we could be in the midst of a pushback. kelly vs the state was a mildstone to be sure but actions taken at the city and county level such as the bogus 100 square ft canopy crap could have a dramatic impact on everyone if they are successful as similar legislation is copied and adopted across the state.

I dont know how successful mpp is and im sure they are but looking at their funds raised, like 45 grand in 2009, it doesnt seem to be representative of the true buying power that is the largest cash crop in america. tell u what, politicians are scared shitless to mess with the farming lobby. why do you think its such a huge deal to cut farming subsidies?

I guess when i hear people up north talk about how mj is the majority of the economy up there, it bugs me to see legislation pushed forward that limits and punishes. it seems like a lack of respect. growers arent bad people. arent violent people. so far everyone here seems to be actually very friendly, good natured, good intentioned people with high standards and expectations.

the house of commons was created because the mercantile age of world commerce created a shift in power from land owning lords to a rising merchant class getting rich off trade. the american revolution was a result of rich white men not wanting to be taxed. it is very rare that any large scale revolution is successful without the ingredients of a rising or repressed capital rich class.

so my question is why arent there candidates in our pockets? why do we have to rely on the courts and petitions to push our agenda? what are the roadblocks that allow us to be so misstreated and allow our opponents to define our cause?

thank you for asking tom,:tiphat:

here you all are, a picture of the greenhouse with its top off. soil mixed and ready, ffof/light war 2:1 mix with added casts and mycorr. i am also adding some bone meal and lime before we go out.

24/100 gal smartys in the 30x64 cold frame. the plan is to cover the ladies at the end of summer protect em from the brutal oregon coastal climate. the soil is getting a nice rain water rinse this week but im kinda wishing i had put the top on, at least for these first 2 weeks. we have about 10 hrs of direct light but miss the early morn and eve.

i have c99, shiva, and a few blue dreams from the bay all are indoors now on 18/6 but i am lowering the lights to 16 or 15 a day before we go out. my concern is my room runs at 80 and the cold air will shock em!

how can i lesson this extreme shock? i was thinking of putting up a small hoop with some const lights and a small propane heater? i also think this will give me some minor co2 boost....

the shiva and b.d. are 2-3 ft tall but my c99 came late from a buddy, im debating on giving them an extra week or so inside, otherwise they will only be a foot or maybe a little bigger by the 1st. what do you guys think?

i started a greenhouse thread but did not really post anything till tonight and it was pretty measly. i plan on moving into the outdoors on the 1st as this is only a protective cold frame for the finish.......

thank you for the guidance, this thread is the goods!

Hello everyone

Respectfully I need to bow out of this discussion. There is just far too much casual patter to wade through just to keep up with the thread. My gardening is more important to me than reading several pages of posts to get to current.

We all have to keep a bunch of different balls in the air at the same, but I tell people, "keep your eye on the big ball." This thread takes far too much time and energy away from "The Big Ball" in my world.

Good luck to everyone and I hope things work out for peeps as they hope. Lot's of good and bad potential shown on these pages...
