Igrowkushbitch - Both pumice and lava rocks would work. I suggest taking the time and laying down landscape fabric so the weeds don't come back. That would include pulling the weeds there now and starting fresh. Sand would work also.

Just wanted to update on Envirotech Greenhouse.
After many missing pieces and frustrating logistical coordination ... Zev shows his professionalism ... They fixed every issue that we had and even came out of pocket for me on a significant amount of parts that the engineer threw on after the fact ...
BIG Respect to them.
DONT try to buy your greenhouse in the spring !!!
You will receive excellent customer service from EGS no matter the time of year, but have an easier time purchasing in Fall.

One of the area growers laughed about putting up the lights for starts that went out in May. Thought it was the funniest thing he has ever heard. Well he called the other day and asked for help because all his girls are in bloom. Asked me what he could do. I suggested Nitrozyme. Any one else have any ideas? With the global warming and people starting a lot earlier in the year, I guess this will be a repeated topic here.
He can replace his plants with starts that are healthy and in veg , or he can hang lights over his garden and leave them on and pray they go back in to veg.

haha same shit happened to one of my ex-partners. he always talked shit about me putting up supp lights in may/june...said it wasnt needed. well he went and got his own spot in 2013 and skipped the supp lighting, all his shit had baby nugs in june. he ended up going out and chopping off all the flowering branches, gave the plants a 2ft haircut, spraying a shit load of PPD, and he managed to squeeze 2 off each 200 so not terrible, but half the size they should have been.
now he put like 6 floodlights in his field until 12am he went hard on the supp lighting haha, i told him to dial it back a few hours 12am is overkill but hes scared about pre-flowers.

I have a story to tell when it's all said and done with Envirotech. My question is why are they not prepared to do spring installs? They should have an extra install team or two during this time of year. Seems like a small company that got too popular. Kind of like a tax company turning away business in April because it's the busy season, just doesn't happen and if it did I would instantly think "rookies".
They can do them, that isn't the problem. They have multiple install crews...they just sell a shit load of green houses.

One thing is for sure, when it's all said and done Envirotech has a great product and should pay for it self. Can't wait to see shots of yours BackYard all tricked out.

Nomaad got 8+ per 200 with Blue Dream a few years back. Those were nice plants and the smoke very good. I use 8 per 200 as the benchmark after seeing what he did.
Reverting plants are pretty much useless for outdoor growers. Only thing I'll say is spent a few weeks helping a friend make a lot of hash in June/July quite a few years back.
Outdoor growing at 7,000' in Southwest CO is brutal. Almost constant wind. Weather really sucks. Only growing a few this year and decided on some seed plants and a few locally proven cuts from last season.
Here's the seed babies a few days after transplant...supported with some AEA snake oil stuff.

Since we are temporarily on the greenhouse topic, a quick question. Is the standard round hoop house better than the gothic style? Seems that with the round hoop house the angle of the sun to the plants through the covering would remain optimized, whereby the gothic style would diffuse the sunlight through the covering at one angle only since the sunlight is hitting a flat covering surface. Is there any validation to my theory? Hope I explained this correctly.

I knew that, I was just wondering why the one on the far right isn't busy grazing like the rest...
I've seen hoop house style crash under snow, gothic type was engineered to 50lbs per sq ft for me...

The shape of the greenhouse doesn't really effect the light diffusion. That is more done with the poly or glass enclosure. Either Gothic or hoop style houses can be very strong, but only when using steal. The Gothic style allows for taller walls, which equals bigger plants. That's my two cents, and why I went with a Gothic style greenhouse.
Hey BF, normally I wouldn't nitpick, but folks often get the Worm Farm in Durham mixed up with the Earthworm Soil Factory on Neal Road--they're near each other.
I think you mean the EWSF since you like their stuff so well.
