Big up! You're ready to go bro!

I just had the first round of my starts begin to root and am going to start building my green houses and turning holes next week...going to be a great summer!

I do plan to hit the garden with Sea Shield , Rejuvenate , and Spectrum via drip as well as a whole new foliar program.

Would love to hear that foliar regiment......and the compost teas that JointedOne got schooled on. Soon I plan to perfect tea's as much as possible. It will be a several year project, but essential for the organic garden IMHO. As of now I have Microbeorganics.com and I was hoping to add to my references. First thing in looking for advice on tea's is culture samples. If the source doesn't use a microscope, and have pictures and scope pictures as proof, then I don't usually don't adopt the advice.

I'll be using AEA's stuff as well. I think I'll actually do a whole row with and without for a trial. Will post results. So far the indoor stuff loves it.

Very interested to see how the outdoor grow goes. I visited a bunch of growers this morning and think they could really kick things up a notch.

My mounds are 300 gallon 7' across circles on top of gopher wire and solid clay... probably about 16-18 inches in the center tapering down to about 1" in a folded up edge of gopher wire. thinking about using one ring with 4 half circle sprayers. i've heard that it's ok not to irrigate the direct center of the plant...maybe even better because the root ball is prone to rot. that sound good? what about straw for mulch? do i have to crack the bale and let it sit in the sun for a while first?

when you guys use 2500 gal res for mixing do you go clear or solid green?

the less light/heat allowed to hit the mix the better. I could see some nasty stuff forming/growing in a clear rez pretty fast if it didnt get a proper hose down and brushing with h2o2 cleaning.

When I had a 2500 I fed out of , before I set my tank I put it on its side and put a bulkhead in the bottom so I could drain it.

A pressure washer is a good investment if you want to start mixing stuff like fish and molasses in a 2500.

i gotta say it...the aea is a supplement program. Balanced soil is the engine...aea, or whatever foliar program is just the nitrous bottle. Get the fundamentals right first.

I remember Backyard Farmer saying basically the same thing last year. Wonder if my friend can go with EWSF's NorCal blend and go from there?

If I were there that is exactly what I would do. Then I would get a quick soil test and tailor the foliar program.

Ready to go with 128 cu ft of displacement per plant and a pickle barrel nitrous applicator....starts hit dirt today.

Did a root dip with rejuvenate, sea shield, spectrum, and micro 5000.

Awesome...thx. I was just out at the factory the other day for awhile. Dave was like...just add water...so figured that was a great place to start . I'll get my friend to set a few spots aside and get an order in.

Hi everyone, long time creeper first time poster on icmag. Over in my neck of the woods Royal Gold Mendo mix is going for $100 a yard. Used it last year and was pretty happy. You can even pick it up from the factory yourself. Has anyone ever used it before??

While cleaning up the new site...

... I discovered an unexpected visitor!

At first glance, I thought it was a thistle that you can see in the background. It will likely go into flower and reveg soon, but it will be something to entertain me until I need that plot for the late starts.

The Royal Gold people are awesome!!
Thanks for the response Backyard Farmer. The mix of Peat and Coco in the mix really keep it light. For next years reuse I add gypsum, lime, bone and blood meal, chix manure, kelp and lots of EWCs. I also add about 1/3 fresh soil every year to rejuvenate the old stuff. The first 2 yards I got were still quite hot, which is fine with me I still have a month to wait. Right now the soil I ammended is just as hot if not hotter. I'm getting soil tests done and I will post results for my ammended Mendo Mix soon if anyone is interested.

Did you feed anything else or hit it with just straight water?
