Looks like some maximum security herbs there... AG is it the law you put up a fence with barbed wire? I know some states out east are strict with permitting outdoor crops.. Looks like itll be a nice winter in Maine. When does your harvest begin?

Shit, I'm assuming he's south, my friends in Northern Maine declared summer over two weeks ago. I'm pretty sure the fence is a legal requirement. I know they'll do the same shit here when they approve medical or recreational. The longer I'm in this the more insane prohibition seems. Every one seems to smoke weed, it's everywhere, it's accepted as references on CBS comedies, but most of us still aren't allowed to grow a plant under the sub.

law states locked enclosed facility MDEA says if we can get into it then its not legal. Which i dont understand its not very hard to get over that fence it only keeps the honest people out. We are not in Northern Maine but in the farthest point East in all USA my ganja plants are the first to see the sunrise.

Aero, I had a couple guerillas snuck in my yard years back when I lived by the ocean. There was something great about knowing the girls were getting light as soon as absolutely possible. No trees, no houses in the way, good morning sun rising over the horizon. How long is your herb season? I love Maine, beautiful country and the people have a great feel, but it's too cold for me.

we need to have everything in by croptober 1st but if its clear weather and above 40 degree nights then we can push them until 2nd week but at this rate we may have to pull early AGAIN. I need to find me some strains that finish up quick like the LVPK she comes down starting sept 20ish... what cuts can i have done by then or earlier? Hoping all my big plant growers will chime in right about now

Green Crack is supposed to finish in September. If you watch those youtube vids by humboldtlocal you can see a Mr. Nice(hash plant x g13) clone he grew and it finished mid September. There is probably more info on here somewhere, but I think it originated from sensi seeds stock.

Breeders of autoflowering plants will also find "light sensitive" individuals that aren't true autoflowering plants. These trigger super easy in the spring and supplemental light is a necessity.

I ran GC last year and it was not early. Mid October. Nice smoke but I only ran it because it was supposed to be early. Just because it flowers fast indoor doesn't mean it finishes early out. It all depends on when it triggers. purple mr nice is an early finisher but tough to get big because it will trigger too early if stressed. Heart attack kush is also early...same problem. Any stress during transplant tends to make them do this half flower half veg thing into July and really reduces plant size and yield. This can also be used to your advantage if you want the earliest pull possible and are not concerned with max weigt per plant. Either way it is such an advantage to start the harvest in mid it late September while the weather nice and possibly get some out before the flood. I am constantly looking for early finishers. Anybody else have some good ones?

Crap, I also picked up the clones because they were said to be early. You're right, the triggering time is the key though. I have a blueberry that is done done by sep 25 but I don't think that is common for dj bb. I also picked up a few purple diesels last minute and they look like they are further along then the bb so definitely a september finish. It smells fantastic as well.

Nice garden AG.. Props for holding it down in the far east. In my location Id rather run big light deps than worry about the season ending correctly. Finishing with the best sun possible for my local and a for sure win. We have early rain issues where I live and weak sun sept - oct. Dont underestimate what you can pull tarp on, lol.

My east coast spot was as far north as zone 8 goes pretty much. I've always wanted to try a real long sativa because it stayed warm into November but the last thing I wanted to deal with was a hurricane slamming into a crop a week from harvest.

A.G.

you could possibly try to get a hold of some BC Sweet Tooth, which is supposed to finish in mid Sept. the yield will not be as booming as some other plants, but considering your location and the threat of having to harvest early it may work out better.

i have a cut going in out garden at the moment. i will try to keep you posted to let you know if it truly sticks to around mid sept. or if it will go longer.

I imagine NOrdic strains would finish very early at your latitudes? Hash plant 2 is a large sativa at 55n so might be worth a try.

GanjaRebelSeeds 5g's red (cindy99 pheno) finishes about the 1st of October for me the last two seasons. Look like in line to finish the same this year, all seed runs. The 5g's yellow from GRS also triggered a week or two earlier than the rest, so I am hoping for an early harvest on her also. GanjaRebel strains have been the top tier of all the beans I have popped in my long growing career.

Are you saying that first picture is the first week of flower? I would consider that more like 3 weeks. I base that off how indoor plants look when I change the light schedule. It takes about 2-3 weeks for budlets to form.
