^ i'd go with the original choice, no excessive registration fee for a GARDEN. some patients simply can't afford the fee, which is obviously a tactic created by the DA and sheriff's department to force patients out of their garden.

but, yes i will be paying the registration fee.

On Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011, the Butte County Board of Supervisors were prepared to vote to pass an ordinance governing medical marijuana in Butte County, California. This ordinance criminalizes most cultivation of medical marijuana, crippling the rights of citizens and patients to grow or otherwise possess medical marijuana with arbitrary limits for cultivation. If you oppose this ordinance please show the supervisors by signing this petition.

The ordinance regulates the growing of medical marijuana in Butte County. The plan sets cultivation restrictions, setbacks, Registration of Cultivation, Zip-ties per plant, permission of property owner, fencing requirements, and a number of declared nuisances. On page 2 the proposed ordinance restricts the quantity of plants that may be grown based on acreage... (2 mature plants on less than 1 acre, 12 mature on 1 acre but less than 20 acres, 30 mature if premises is greater than 20 acres but less than 160 acres, and if premises is greater than 160 acres the ordinance allows up to 99 marijuana plants, whether immature or mature). On page 6 the ordinance establishes an annual cost and a Zip-tie program... (Registration; "Cultivation Requirement fee" will range from $832 to $1,231 and an additional $44 "Zip-tie" provision per plant).

Medical marijuana advocates widely ostracized the proposed medical marijuana ordinance exclaiming it to be conspiratorial and unlawful; speakers proclaimed distortion and blackmail siting constitutional rights, prop. 215, SB 420, and more. After five hours of discussion the board finally decided to postpone a decision, and reconsider some of the fees and plant limits on some parcels. They expect to revisit the matter next month. I was informed of a civil lawsuit to be discussed tomorrow in Chico, CA. Additional sources, proclaim that ASA and CANORML are talking lawsuit as well.

All Board meetings are broadcast on Cable Channel 11 (Butte College TV) at 6:00 p.m. on the Sunday following a Board Meeting. Audio and/or video copies of Board meetings are available for a $5 duplication fee. Contact the Clerk of the Board to obtain copies.​

Hey All, ready for another kick ass season? I feel like I'm going into this year way ahead of last year with all the knowledge I picked up from this thread.

The main thing I learned (and experienced) is that great soil is paramount. With that in mind I'm wondering what those of you who have been growing in large containers do to re-ammend your soil between seasons. I realize that ultimatley I will need to test the soil using the meters TH discussed way back in the thread. (I just got my ergs meter yesterday and haven't even turned it on yet). I am just wondering if there is a basic starting point that you use each year? (I started out with Tom's mix, pretty much).

nomaad-they are ridiculous. i fall under the 12 mature plants max category but really sympathize for the under an acre patients. under an acre parcels get 2 mature plants, even if that acre is out in the cuts next to cattle land...

yeah well you didnt mention the parcel limits in your first post about it. that is ridiculous, a complete restructuring of power out of the hands of the average joe to those with 160 acres plus lol.

Hoop house questions.

Planning on an early release this year, also... Due to the CAMP crackdowns and local bullshit laws ect. I am only going to run 6 plants through flower. Of course, I am going to run hoop houses over large "Tom Hill" style containers. General plan, is two hoop houses side by side 3 plants per house. Going to shoot for 6.5-7' center height, x 8' wide x 35' long. These houses will only be up until late March early April if the weather goes right. But in my situation, it will be much easier to focus on 6 4-5 pounders, than it will to try and hide everything guerrilla style.

Anyways, here's question one: What can I do ground cover / mulch wise to help raise my temperatures early on?? I was thinking about using rice or maybe wheat straw to cover the floor area, then covering the straw with landscaping fabric?? I know that having the composting straw lining the floor will play hell with humidity levels, but I will be able to open the hoop house up during the day of course.

Would it maybe be better to use an open flame or element style heating source?

So, that's it... What can I do to insulate my hoop houses, and will it be enough to ensure an early to mid march planting? I am located on the central coast, around King City, Salinas.

Cali Style you should make your hoopers longer and wider so you can have more space around your ladies to work on them. Why stop at 5 pounds when 10 is attainable with a 300 gallon breathing container? Leaving your plants in the hoops for the summer will help you get bigger plants. The extra humidity and warmer temps will have your plants blowing up ...

After you get done blading out the floor of the greenhouse staple down 2 layers of landscape fabric and then throw your straw down..not the other way around as you described.

I use a modine hot dawg propane heater in my hooper. If you want to go even more trick with it you can do a double layer plastic with a fan blowing air inbetween the layers or hit up TekSupply for some of their Tek Foil : http://www.teksupply.com/farm/supplies/cat1a;ts1_tekfoil_reflective_foil_insulation.html

Been really looking over this thread as well as Nomads and H.L.'s. This will be my first year growing Jumbo sized plants. I always had to keep them reasonably short for security reasons until now. Can I get away with some tall stakes and hortonova netting or do I really need the wire cages?

how long is the season where they are growing??... our season at
40n is from mid may, till end of sep...maybe a few oct days... not because its cold, but because of the high humidity which always leads to mold... all i can say is ..fuk...

Hey all its one hell of a thread and endless inspiration. Thanx!

Was hoping that some one can remind me how many cups of mexicanguano, rock phosphate, and 0-5-0 phos guano per cubic foot to use in my dry mix.
This is what i'm adding to my mix; bone meal(3-15-0) /1 cup per cf
kelp meal 1/2 cup per cf
green sand 1/2 cup per cf
Rock phosphate ?
high phos guano(0-5-0) ?
nitrogen guano(10-2-1) ?
lime
So far this is what i remember. *I will be using both the bone meal and 0-5-0 guano. i'm just gonna cut each ones recommended dose in half.

I have it written in a few places none of which i can find. DOH!!
