la blanca has been on 1.3-1.4 ec for a few weeks with no adverese effects in fact she has been thriving however after i trimmed her the other day she has now showed signs of nute burn, her ec is currently on 1.0 im not gonna bother raising her ec for at lest a few more days while she recovers, its amazing how fussy plants cant be

day 66 maxi
maxi has only 9 days left to finish her grow according to the breeders however this does not look the case for me
her overall status is good but she is refusing to swell her buds and i cant work it out, her feed is 1.4 ec she is drinking over 1ltr of water a day and i have no idea where she is putting it, her trichs are still clear but her hairs are brown i know she didnt have any bloom booster but i suplemented this with carbo load instead. im feeling a bit let down as she has shown some incredible potenial of what can be achieved but her budding has flawed me. the smell from both plants is crazy insane though and i would not recommened them for a stealth grow she has also nearly fell over twice due to her size haha
my temps are 78 and humidity is 48-50 % which is spot on, it could be the led lights but i have seen they can produce buds from my blue cheese grow, my only other thought is she is gonna be 12 weeks seed to harvest she sexed day 22 which puts me on week 6 flower however la blanca is well over due to be flowered and the longer maxi takes the longer la blanca is gonna have to wait and she is monsterous, so much for a quick turn around however i will let her go as long as she wants,
looking at the pics, if the buds swelled up to maximum potenial then i would say she is a good contender for 1 of the best autos on the market in terms of smell size and yield and i cant wait to get a tatste of that pineapple goodness

yeah i agree ive done everything by the book so i cant get my head around whats happeing although the way she stands at the minute she is well over an oz i can see that but i thought she would of swelled up before now
time will tell sometimes you cant rush a good thing, your right about the trichs though they look beaut

i agree with your points i dont mind a discussion, i think its more to do with grower error more than anything else a few factors i could of done differrent with this grow include...
she was feeding at 1.8ec and showed signs of wanting more but i refused i then dropped her feed to 1.4 ec as i was following an online feeding chart and she still showed signs of wanting more i may also of hit her at the wrong time with pk booster and probably shoud of done it earlier, these are all my fault and not my equipment the thing with growing in hydro over soil is the fact that you have to get the timings right on when to add and change nutes where as in soil most of the ingriedents are already there for you to start with and its all systems go
the other factor is her size, i think i may of panicked a little bit and tried to guess what was gonna happen as oppose to reading the plants signs better and giving her what she really wanted which was more feed she is 1 hungry lady the fact i deprived her early on maybe the result in the late bud developement and reaching her true potential
also the beauty is my whole setup is pretty new so getting dialled in on all my equipment was another factor to take on board but i think ive got a good jist of how everything is working now
im looking forward to growing her out again only next time ill be armed with better information and have a good idea of what to expect so ill just take what ever she has to offer this time round and hopefully improve on her next grow
i still have la blanca yet to flower so my full attention can go into getting her spot on and hopefully redeem my errors or at least take what i learned from maxi and apply them to her

It may be one of those plants that looks done (aside from trichs) and has another burst of flowering. Nice grow anyway skotty
ive just took a few pics of maxis lower buds that are on the bottom half of the plant,i know the sizes aint massive down there as they never are but the trich production is some of the best ive seen, some of the bud leaves down the sides have trichs growing ontop of trichs
somethings you just have to share, the pics i have taken are with my 3.2mp camera phone and im hoping to borrow my mates dslr near harvest time so i can get some top qaulity pics for my collection

Amazing trich production! You are right, great job on her, i really hope she fattens up for you. If you still have some Maxi beans left i would considering crossing her to another plant, since her trich production is ABOVE average, and maybe you could bring down the flowering time, how much longer do you think she has left? Good luck!

cheers for the input but my camera doesnt capture what my eyes are seeing in my grow room if that makes sense lol
because maxi aint quite ready yet and her trichs are still clear ive hit her with some overdrive in a last ditch attempt to get some major swellage going, i have no idea if this product works but there is only 1 way to find out, dont get me wrong i think she looks really close to 2oz yield and her buds are tight but i wanna try and squeeze a little more out of her at this last stage of the game, looking back i probably should of added the overdrive at the start of week 9 but hey ho
i think today is the start of week 10 so im gonna go for a 12 week finish 1 week with overdrive then flush depending on trich colour, im really hoping she finishes soon as la blanca is almost as tall as maxi lmfao
on a side note about trich production i think it may well be a combination of carbo load and the led lights the only thing truely missing in my setup is a good bloom booster to make them buds swell
carbo load (molasses) does more to enahnce the aroma and oils of the plants which will result in the best smoke possible providing you do a good flush, i swear by the stuff but it doesnt do much for making the buds swell up, im looking into adding a bloom booster into my nutrient line up so i have the perfect combination of everything

pk booster (vitalink buddy or pk13/14)
true flavour enhancer (carbo load)
bloom booster (????)
once i have the perfect combination of nutrients it wont matter what plant i put into my grow room it will maximise everything lol
i feel like ive gone from the begginer stage to advanced grower stage where i no longer need to ask questions on what to do or why my plants are sick and how to read the plants vital signs of when to increase and decrease nutes as i can diagnose and read all the signs myself lol

my guy sent me some pics of his big devil that was started at the begining of this grow which i had to part with lol

What LED are you using? I'm debating on my first grow what type of light to buy
345 watt hydrogrowled,
led lights are good but you have to find the sweet spots for each and every single light, for example with hps there is certain grow charts recommened on how to use them and at what distance but with led there isnt, you can get different leds i.e 1 watt 3 watt etc and they will work better at different distances and there is no set charts for growers to go by so its all experimental work by the individual growers, having said that id probably wait untill the experinced growers start putting up some detailed info on how to get the best from them or do what i have done and teach yourself, i can honestly say i wouldnt trade mine for hps right now as my grows are only gonna get better with experience
im almost certain that now i have my setup dialled in and i get a decent bloom boost my future yields are gonna be very very good thats not to say that this grow is gonna be poor in fact i still think it might be my best grow to date but we will see at the weigh in,
its a shame i cant take her out the grow room to get some decent shots

One thing i personally notice with the VitaLinkMax is the N content, its bloody high & judging by the dark green colour you have bro your in the same boat. My ideas are to reduce that base rate EC & increase the Bloom Booster(PK) EC during the latter stages(last 3 week of feeds). Thats my only critism of VitaLinkM<, its N is too high during the latter stages & this needs addressing. I like GHRipen, it has no N at all & is a great finisher. I been thinking about using Overdrive too, its only 1% N so im considering it, but ill defo be using GHRipen, For a Bloom Stimulator im using CannaBoost Accelarator(which has its own Carbs) & im inpowering it with AN Hammerhead this time, trying something different, crumbs the trich formation is sick. Im running Si(Budlink) along side it too & Cannazym for extra food/Carb/Sugar production. Let me know what you think of the Overdrive skotty? i might have a play with it.
Great looking plants bro, just watch that N in that Vita mate! Ive been thinking of going with a full compliment of micros & a PK booster only in the final stages to completely get rid of all N in the latter stages. I also wanted to reduce the P, which is why i went with the hammerhead! 0/4/8 new formula & im happy so far. day 38ish(i think). still looking to clear 15-17 ozcar of Primo dried offa a 400w HPS! 12 weeks total grow time, 4 plants! things look on-schedual!

btw, i havent noticed a loss in yield keeping things slightly on the lean side, letting EC drift down & PH up(slowly), if anything i get better yields when i run my rig this way. plants always stay healthier. imo you can only lose yield pushing things beyond their limits!
