gone are the days of getting 1oz to 1- 1/2 oz per plant in short grow times the minimum should be at least 2 oz for autos but i think this has a lot to do with the way people grow them out

most growers will use cfl lights and pc cases or small closests to grow autos and get small returns where as if you put them under good lights and get them in some good growing medium then its a completly different game, you get to see a whole new side as to what can be achieved

your right about la blanca being the same as the super autos which is the whole purpose of this thread to see which auto would perform the greatest but unfortunatly your strain fell early on and the la blanca is up in the air and little old maxi is with in reaching distance of the finish line, its gonna be an interesting final couple of weeks me thinks

Im real happy with cali haze and the hbd. the lablanca and moturo blue I just threw them in the corner of my room. they have looked the same for about a month. Iv been running light at 20-4. The HBD has been my favorite to grow. I wonder if i should just threw the lablanca in my flowering room on 12 12.

I think you've done a top job so far on these skotty looking big.

But I disagree that super autos are the future for indoor at least. A 1 oz auto that you can fit 4 per square foot in a sog is going to out yield a few big AFs, and in a lot less time.

And if time isn't a factor why not veg a fast flowering non AF strain for a few weeks, then flip to 12/12 and save on your electricity.

But sounds very interesting....You know what, I'm gonna try it, next year....(side by side) Auto vs Reg. Strain grow....<<Fem seed for the reg strain of course.....start both @ same time..that way reg. strain will "veg" for 3wks....growing it jus like an auto...which normally shows sex around this time....got about 10 different FEM reg. beans in hybrination.....(I do have a extra 400hps & Ballast laying around) <<needed for 12/12..

im glad so many people are taking info from this grow wether it be good or bad and using it to adapt their own grow styles

if my theory is right about la blanca then she will show sex around week 5-6 under a 20/4 light cycle a lot of growers around the internet have given up because she didnt sex and bud within 30 days from seed as this is what every auto grower has burned into them should happen, because la blanca is a new strain and not many people have grown her out it wasnt easy to find any results on her hence this grow diary to share info on what will happen,
as far as saying time isnt a problem i was reffering to maxi because she still has a few weeks left before she reaches a climax so la blanca can keep growing to see what happens

super autos being the future of autos, well it really depends how you look at it most autos will take between 8 -10 weeks and give you a yield of around 1 - 1 1/2 oz yield grown in soil and super autos will give you around 3-4 oz + in 12 weeks or at least that is the theory, in order for you to get the same amount of yield from normal autos you will have to grow 4 plants, if i you grow 2 super autos that yield 8 oz you will have to grow 8 normal autos, a lot will depend on how much work the grower wants for example i could probably get the same results from just 2 plants as you would growing 8 in soil, then we have the hydro factor if you was to put a super auto into hydro then i would imagine your gonna get more than 4 oz in a 12 week grow,just look at what people have done with onyx in hydro compared with soil results and this is classed as a normal auto

as far as growing regular starins goes its all well and good but you cant get the continual harvest you require unless you have a veg and flower room so your not really saving on electric your in fact using more to run 2 bulbs, 1 on 12/12 and 1 on 18/6, with autos you can veg and flower in the same space,however i kinda wasnt expecting just 2 autos to fill my grow space and im shocked at the results

also there is the concept of growing regualr strains on 12/12 from seed which i have had good results with but you have to use sativa or sat dominant strains in order to get a nice reward as indicas do need a veg period of at least 3 weeks to get something back but can they yield as much as the autos????

there are still a lot of autos out their that i have yet to try and new 1s coming out all the time but if people arent growing them out and posting results then we cant pick the best of the best strains to grow for ourselves,

In fact auto plants were made at the beginning for some reasons...
For people whl live in northern countries, for people with limited space, for beginers, for those who don't want or can't keep alive a mother, to grow outdoor and get several crops during summer!!!
For me the last reason is the best attraction of auto plants, coz if u start seedling seeds from april and repeat the prcess each month, u'll be abble to crop every month from june! Imagine u each plant giving u 30 gr of dry weed, if u put 10 plants each month outdoor..., 300gr of dry weed from june to september, high quality buds flowering with full summer sun the result is very good!
And i don't speak about thiefs that are not searching in summer lol
Now with super autos, the atraction with the ones i did is that they are sativa and if u know someone who get a reg sativa ready in 100 days From seed and flowering in mid summer, just tell me...
Of course super autos are for outdoor growers, the ones who want huge plants, big crop, sativa lovers!
They can also be grown indoor, but it is not the same interest.

N1 Skotty, some nice points you bring up there. SuperAuto's defo have a place, for me its outside in the UK, & Summer(end of) crop whereas before Auto's this was not possible, really!
I'll certainly be buying a few packs to put outside next year, thats for certain. Plus my arsenal of stash beans, which is quite substantial as it stands, next year certainly looks promising.
i'd go as far as to putting a few Superauto's in DWC indoor, fkin right i would, after smoking on that Niv Sky & seeing her potential i'm convinced they'd do more than great, looking at your ladies it'd pay off too. Ive just got too many reg strain that i have my heart on growing out, so auto's for me are gonna have to see me proud outdoors, & now i think they will too.
Dargo's Super's were looking really heavy on yield, but i know he lost a bit to mold, they did look substantially more than 4oz dry though, double it! there were in huge pots, not sure how big, but nearly dustbin size lol. G'Luck Buddy!

I couldnt agree more Stitch-AutoB, G'Luck & i hope you bring us more interesting superauto's soon, preferably Mold resistant, then you would get all my money dude! So far i'm impressed!

all i wanna do is generate myself a bit of smoke lol maxi was the only reason i ended up with the rest of the seeds and i thought id just put up a grow log and see what happens so you guys can check out the newer strains

take from this grow what ever you will as its here for you to use as a resource wether it be positive or negative wether autos should be indoor or outdoor wether super autos are good or bad wether a regular auto is more suited for you wether or not hydro is good for autos or wether or not led lights grow cannabis to a satisfactory standard, ive had so much help from this forum its only fair that i give a little suttin suttin back and some good info has been shared and retained by myself

she is currently 27" tall and branching out nicely she is feeding on 1.3 ec ph 5.8 the big question is will she or wont she automatically start flowering???

one thing is for ceratin is ive never grown out a white widow strain before so wether or not she does or doesnt it is certainly a strain i can tick off my things to grow list and hopefully get to see this super crystal production that she is renound for

maxi is about 57 days old she is on 1.4 ec ph 5.8-6.0 and she loves this range of ph ive topped up her res this morning adding back 6 ltrs in the space of 5 days, maxi is by far the most resin covered plant i have grown and if white widow is meant to be one of the frostiest then im in for a treat, maxi topped out at 46" - 47 " tall which is 1 m 15 - 1m 20cm

yeh skotty fair play mate, everyone chooses something depending on their style of growing and what they want out of it. Super auto's and hydro is probably a good combination for indoor in theory but it's cool that you're showcasing it for others and testing them for yourself.

I only grow AF SOG but thats me, or a regular strain SOG with limited veg period. I like to have a few different varieties going and to me it doesn't seem to be much more effort.

I'll be interested to see what day they will finish for you, and what weights you pull.

ive been doing some calculations and i make it around 21 days left for maxi if she is gonna finish around the time the breeders say which is day 75 so she best get her finger out lol

i was looking through the show your autoflower pics and on page 18 there is a maxi gom grown under a 600 watt hps and all i can say is feck me what a beauty

it does say 75 days from seed but i cant find a grow diary to back that up, if i can get anywhere near that im gonna be super impressed with this grow id even let her go a little longer if she needs to, its plants like that what keep me coming back for more in the hope of achieving them sort of flowers in short grow times, just seeing that specimen has made me smile lol

if anbody is wondering what happens to an auto that doesnt show sex after 3 - 4 weeks then check out my la blanca lmfao she has to be the biggest plant that i have grown so far to date, out of control but the show must go on

maxi day 60

maxi is still drinking copious amounts of nutrient and her smell is very very strong at times, its hard to distiguish the different smells beacuse la blanca is mixing with maxi but la blanca is not fruity or dank in fact im having a hard time trying to describe her smell i think all will become clear when she hits flower and goes onto carbo load, ive got a feeling that maxi is gonna take longer than the 75 days predicted by the breeders just because of her size and the fact im only using 290 watts of led but time will tell i have no desire to chop her early as i really wanna try and get the best smoke possible from her

my last lot of pics were a bit shitty so hopefully these will make up for them

Just a bit too bad that buds are not so big, but for the resin it is perfect!
maybe it is becoz of the leds lights that the buds are not so fat?
i never grown myself under leds.
how the onyx is going?

I'm testing now a new cross that i maid Cheese x haze super auto, i just need to check if it is 100% auto , making test over 200 plants to be sure.

i have no idea what im doing lol but i was guessing that the lower growth would not be getting much light so now she can concentrate on forming buds up top when i put her in flower im also toying with the idea of topping her but it wont be until she has recovered from her trip to the hairdressers "snip snip"

i think the breeders may have fuked up somewhere along the line with the cross however this means she will be closer to the original strain in her effects, 9 weeks in veg in hydro lmfao i cant wait to flower her
