If the Dems hold the Senate. There's nothing lame about appointing judges for life on the benches. Game over for your side. The house will be a shit show with the slim majority the GOP will hold. The dems in the house should vote as a block and make every GOP member go on record with a vote. They will need every vote just to pass a bill.

they aren't going to pass ANY bills without some democratic support. in reality, not much is gonna change with such thin margins. both sides are going to have to hold their noses and compromise/cooperate, or look like morons for 2 more years because they are not getting anything accomplished. this is why some political brains think that gridlock is the best you can hope for. when they quit treating our political system as a fucking i win/you lose game, WE'LL be better off. we have GOT to wrest the controls of govt from the fringe wingnuts in both parties. if one party is overwhelmed by the wingnuts.....the middle (yes, it really exists) must hold against the fringes.

i used to agree. but now i think that there must be another way to rid ourselves of a POS without impeachment. since WE are paying these judges, and WE have to follow their rulings, then WE should have a say in whether they get to keep their damn jobs. let a POTUS nominate them, let them serve a term of however many years, and then let them be held accountable to their bosses (us) and stand for a retention vote. many states do this now, they get to kick the jerks to the curb if not up to snuff.

2020 was not a vote for Biden, it was a vote against Trump.
these midterm results are a rejection of maga politics and a plea for a return to some semblance of regular political warfare instead of all this crazy bullshit.
