the sanctions against the heavy Veniz crude and the keystone was going to deliver to the Houston area as that is what their refineries are set up for, heavy crude or tar sand oil. Yes much was to be exported but we were at the time were already a net exporter. Tar sand oil also has been cut with naphthalene to get it through the pipeline which needs to be recovered and reused.

However in regards to the stupid tweet or whatever, that Hempy posted, there is and would be no effect on US gas prices or availability. Context is critical in dialogue. Something Hempy does not grasp.

The point was that we (the US) were a major producer and exporter of energy and were basically energy independent (despite being lied to by our own government for decades about our production capabilities).
