I hope you all have enjoyed this thread. I feel it has more than served its purpose and that we are pretty much all caught up. This thread was actually wildly successful beyond anything I would have imagined. What happens next remains to be seen. But, I no longer have a need to "get this info out there." MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Hempy is honored to have had the opportunity to share so much with all of you folks out there. Thank you to all who have contributed to this thread. It truly would not be what it is without you! Thanks also for all of the many kind words and support, both on and off of these pages. Hempy's head is over-filled after 25 years of analyzing EVERYTHING, Hempy wants to try to spend more time disconnecting from all of the noise and plugging into nature, friendship, peace, joy, health, love, and hopefully someday maybe a little prosperity. I will still be around on icmag, including here in Speaker's Corner as events unfold.

With that said,...

The End. :tiphat:

P.S. Hempy never threatened a moderator (the alleged reason for Hempy's 2 years of banishment).

AI Overview

Talking about yourself in the third person is generally considered a sign of a desire to create emotional distance or a more detached perspective on oneself, often used as a strategy to analyze situations more objectively and manage emotions better; this practice is also called "illeism" in psychology.

Key points about talking in the third person:

Positive aspects:
Emotional regulation: Can help people distance themselves from strong emotions when discussing personal issues.
Improved decision making: By taking a more detached perspective, it can lead to clearer thinking and better problem-solving.
Self-awareness: Can encourage a more analytical approach to examining one's thoughts and behaviors.

Potential concerns:
Narcissistic tendencies: In some cases, frequent use of the third person can be associated with inflated self-importance or a lack of empathy.
Psychological conditions: While not always a sign of a mental health issue, in certain situations, it could indicate a symptom of a disorder like schizophrenia if accompanied by other symptoms.
