The Flu is MURDEROUS!..

and they produce said vaccinated alchemy with chicken egg's construct should also cause one pause.

the medical field produces many good things like helping with thyroid etc but also do some bat crazy things like injecting people with said pathogens in advance of flu outbreak. i'd rather have my body build itself naturally and maybe use these things in older age when your immune system starts degradation

I don't want to get into the "vaccinate or not to vaccinate" thing, but multi dose vials of flu vaccine contain Thimerosal, which is an ethel mercury based preservative. Mercury is very toxic. The idea of injecting anything toxic into my body gives me the heebie jeebies.

I have been dead set against the flu shot. This year I said screw and let my Dr talk me into it. Next year my arm will look like a dart board.

I work in the winter at a bar and 1000's of sick people come through that place. I used to get sick 3 times a winter. After this year's flu shot haven't been sick once.

I'm still on the fence about it. Will the vaccine create new stronger virus'? I don't know much about it but I'm one who doesn't take meds and am pretty damn healthy. I am glad I got the shot this year though.

Few side effects from the shot I have noticed. My taste and smell are slightly off and my right eye twitches a lot. This could just be getting older and stress but it's weird. I guess better than the alternative.

Thanks for all the kind words!!

My pop's had flu shot. But I understand people who are older and encounter many folks at job like teachers and such getting them because missing work cost you in the long run ....

Supposedly Japan has a new shot coming online for next season that can handle most everything tossed against it in testing.

He was never married. Had a couple girlfriends. Nothing serious. His brother has kids and that's as close to family he had. He liked the bachelor life.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I am in my mid 60's and got the flu, it seems to be a virus running in the background for me I feel better then it seems to come back. No flu shots for me, I wonder if we are creating a super flu with the different strains and guessing at the correct vaccine...

The deeper you look into the science of vaccines, the murkier it gets. It's definitely not a black and white issue. Some medical interventions and meds can definitely help in the short term, but then some can cause you to suffer in the long term. Which is which? It's a lottery imo. Take sun screens as an example. Here in Australia melanoma's are an issue, so people have been conditioned by the medical profession to smother themselves in sun screen when in the sun. Leaving aside the chems present in the sun screens themselves, depriving the body of good old fashioned sun causes a whole raft of other diseases and so increases your risk of mortality, thus voiding any statistical gains from sunscreens. So if you use sunscreen, you're more likely to die than if you never used them, just not from skin cancers. Same deal with injecting mercury imo. Strange old complicated world we live in.

i've been getting a flu shot for over 12 years, have not caught the flu since i began. this years version supposedly is only 20% effective. that beats hell out of 0% in my book...

I'm sorta reclusive up here, I used to go to coffee w/the old farts club almost every day, now instead of burning the gas & jing just to listen to the same old BS, (these guys are/were in their 70s/80s/90s) I bank the bucks.

that being said I certainly have to shop but I habitually do that when the store is quieter in the evenings, so even there I'm contacting less people :dunno:

so aside from a very wicked months long battle w/an intestinal virus back in '76 or '77 (not any kind of flu) I really don't recall getting the flu, I have received several flu shots over the years & guess I'm thinking of getting one tomorrow.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. My condolences go out to his loved ones. It's been a while since I have had the flu (knock on wood) but when I have gotten it I was very sick. I don't mess around if something feels serious--straight to the doctor I go. Haven't gotten a flu shot in years but I'm beginning to rethink that. I feel the benefits outweigh the risks.

Sorry to hear about your friend Lester. I had my first flu shot two years ago and haven't had the flu since, and last winter in Australia was the worst flu season ever by a large margin. I had no side effects whatsoever and highly recommend it to anyone. The flu shot plays no role in creating new viruses as you are only pre-activating your immunity using an inactivated virus preparation.

yea i have been on the couch bundled up under my blanket with hot chocolate like a little kid watching amazon prime documentaries haha the body ache is no joke :***(
