the elderly asylum

X

xavier7995

My elderly dad just went on a road trip across a good chunk of the country with some other old guys. He was pumped not to be the oldest, one dude was in his 80s. I think Ringo woulda fit in well. It's weird as hell to have a bunch of guys in their 70s ask where the chicks are and talking about raising hell...then pivot and request the senior discount at breakfast.

Edit: meant this as motivational, pussy can still be the driving force well into your 70s.

Edit 2: happy bday herman!

Just got this from my public defender in the USA - BLOODY MARVELOUS NEWS!

Gypsy,
I have, at long last, some very good news. Earlier today, the United States filed a Motion for Leave to Dismiss the Indictment in the US criminal case. The motion is, of course, unopposed. I had intimations the prosecutor was going to file the motion, as he had asked whether we had any objection to it, but it has taken him some time to actually make the filing, and I wanted to hold off notifying you until the paper was actually filed. I anticipate the Court will grant the motion promptly, and I will keep you apprised. I have attached a copy of the motion and its attachment.

I expect that when the motion is granted, all domestic arrest warrants or detainers should be withdrawn, and I have already asked the prosecutor to confirm that all Interpol or other international paper will also be withdrawn. How long that will take, I do not know, so don’t go traveling anywhere quite yet. I think it may be prudent to obtain a certified copy of the judgment or order of dismissal when it enters, for you to have should any issues arise in the future.

Congratulations. I wish I could say this was due to my work, but I really rode on the coattails of your able UK counsel.
John

Waaaaaaaay - Heeeeey! - such a load off my shoulders to know that the largest empire on the planet - is no longer out to get me!

Congratulations, GN!

--

I have been hesitant to jump in on this thread. I passed the 65 milestone earlier this year and I just retired last week. I do ring bells in 4 of GN’s list and I have a few more of my own and these helped me make the decision to stop working. I traveled heavily and I just couldn’t bear stuffing myself in airplane seats anymore. They are made by sadists who keep working to perfect their invention.

Several of you have mentioned peripheral neuropathy. I have its nasty cousin, spinal stenosis, which stopped me from walking for 8 months a couple of years ago until a slice & dice that cut out a small piece of my spine. Pink Kush became my savior throughout that period and I always keep some on hand for my back. Unfortunately, it just bounces off the real pain of kidney stones, teeth etc. Yeah, I am an old fuck & I hurt. Too often. But . . . I am a realist with a heavy dose of optimism, so it never keeps me down.

Now I just have to figure out what to do with all of this free time . . .

Well I don't know. I am shocked. You would eat your Wife starting at her neck?
But more important is this unusual interest you have in Men's legs. Seems quite common in us older males when the clear divide between male and female seems to blur.

For example the mechanic we give money to got his Wife to come out and have a look at my legs as I was taking a car off a trailer in front of his place. So she did.

Which was quite disconcerting for a redbloodedabsolutely100%heteromalehonest.

My favourite bit on the Mrs is her neck - just below the ears - if I was a vampire I would have bitten it - and got her to join my club -

Yeah - nice legs Ted - would look a treat in a pair of seamed stockings - lol

I must be honest and say that when I hear of such a thing I am pleased it is not me! (Grossly selfish of course ... but ...)

The worst part of getting old is hearing another one of your friends have died.

Yes, I find myself becoming Cynical, becoming Hope-less.

Or put another way: I have to be super aware of an increasing inclination toward hopelessness which comes as Death gets closer.

Seems to me that if my degeneration continues ... one day I may find myself without the energy to even smile!

..... and the hardest part is keeping your heart open to making new friends.

I am not afraid of death. I have been married to the same woman for 40 years. I welcome death.

When the old grim reaper comes for me, I going to bend that fucker over and stick my cock 4 miles up his ass and drive that old crusty black mother fucker all the way to hell.

And, when I get to hell, I am going to find the guy who invented that hard plastic packaging that's impossible to open without cutting the fuck out of your hands.... and I am going to kick him in the balls repeatedly for a thousand years. Then... it's party time. ;)

Listen and learn. You will be lazier, weaker, more painful, less capable as time rolls by. Think slippery slope.

Best to have a comfy nest and nice veggies by that time.

And CBD..., and CBN... Gawdsends IMO.

Get a job son! Walk down the road with a suitcase, good shoes and coat, thumb out. Maybe a farmer needs help, picks you up, and would let you plant a corner of the place. Farmers are old and lazy and may not mind a side crop of a little garden you grow.

If I had some kid here who did really want to work, he would have a chance. There are places out there with wore out old folks.
