The Elbow Room; Round Infinity (Rare Dankness; Sin City; CBD strains; CMH lights)

I have been mite free since using Neem and essential oils. I also use essential oils in the soil, and after many rounds of recycling no problems. Essential oils break down fast. Weekly application foliar is a must. I do every other week in the soil.

The critters can't build up an immunity to them. They are a miraculous gift from the gardening gods. :)

I have a mite spray I have posted that will keep you 100% mite free. I haven't seen one since I started using it. Unless it was on a clone from someone. Cough, Cough.....:)

I have some cinnamon leaf extract and also rosemary oil. What kind of application rates do you guys use with these type of oils? I have been spraying my outdoor plants with neem but the grasshoppers don't give a shit about neem.

Grasshoppers are tough. Oils don't do much to them.

The only thing I found that would help is Semaspore

It works pretty well. I use to live in a very heavily infested grasshopper area.

rosemary I've used at 1.5ml/gal.... mints can burn so go real easy with those type oils... I use .5ml/gal with my wintergreen... hadnt used cinnamon so I cant speak firsthand there...

For grasshoppers you might try Nosema locustae... Nosema locustae is a one celled parasite that infects and kills the hoppers when they ingest it.... Hoppers being of a cannibalistic nature will eat the dead parasite infected bodies.... you can likely imagine the chain reaction caused passing the parasite from generation to generation...

I've got some Guardian from Nectar of the Gods. It's pretty much water, soy lecithin, and cinnamon oil. Because it's diluted With other shit I can't attest to the application rate of pure cinnamon oil, but I gotta say it works very well and smells wonderful.

no worries, good info. I'm gonna try out the big time exterminator for sure, i've been told it contains chitin degrading enzymes similar to those in ACT / EWC tea that will kill bugs. also, seen the "big time enzyme" product on shelves... anyone familiar with it?

Ive been using it for 5 months. I use it quite often with with ful-power. plants seem to love it. Ive started to use it a lot to spray clones in rotation with aloe and ful power.

Use the gift code "kannapu" on their site. If it's still a current gift code youll get 15% off big time exterminator and a free bottle of big time enzyme.

so you are foliar feeding the big time enzyme? it's kinda vague instructions, right?
i'm curious how it is different from the exterminator....

Ya I've been using it as a foliar. I've been thinking about soil drenched for newly rooted clones but I don't know if I want to put potassium sorbate in my soil or not. I don't spray it on anything that's vegged more than a month as I don't want residual potassium sorbate. At 1ml per liter a little goes a long way. Exterminators ingredient list is a bit different. I'll snap a pic when I get home. The instructions for exterminator aren't nearly as vague as enzyme.

interesting products.

i hadn't considered using SST as a pest defense before but it makes perfect sense: soak those suckers' exoskeletons in chitinase!

Exterminator isn't much different from enzyme.I use it twice a week.
I also mixinneem oil with it every 2 weeks. Exterminator emulsifies the Neem oil better than anything else I've ever used.

If you are outside set up a bird bath. The birds will eat some grasshoppers and other bugs. Not going to solve the problem but is a free way to take some action. It works surprisingly well.

this spring there was a "newish" product push in Colorado of "Nolo Bait" - an anti grasshopper biological control.
it's said to keep them away... anyone used it? whodatis, may be a good option if it works and if your grasshopper issue becomes a grasshopper problem.

For grasshoppers

http://www.arbico-organics.com/prod...ustae/pest-solver-guide-grasshoppers-crickets

The only thing I used that did anything when I lived in the woods.

^This stuff^ I ordered some of this stuff and hand cast it around my plants and I think it helped. Granted I did it later in the season, maybe a week ago. I'll definitely order some more next season if I have another outdoor plot and use it again. Props to Seaf0ur for giving me the heads up on it.
