Nice roots avi! How is that BLL coming along? How is she smelling?

bll is starting to stink nicely for sure, kinda a grapefruit sugar cookie, or grapefruit pound cake, some kind of sweet citrus baked goods smell. not a whole lot of bulking up going on with the BLL, will grab a pic and show the progress it has made.

So am I getting this right? Are u feeding ur plants with pink lemonade hooch? Hows it taste?
hooch? kinda not really..... smells a lil vineagar-y. i haven't tasted it, it was made in non-food grade containers (a five gallon bucket from hardware store). So far so good...
the fermented fruit extract is much more "hooch-y" than the lactoBacillus, for sure, smells like old beer and fruity liquor mixed up, also, haven't tasted it, not clean enough conditions of production (yet :D ).

I had a mini-emergency last night, some of my soil was becoming HOT, like physically hot to the touch, so i pulled some plants out of their beds and repotted them in just peat and perlite, will have to let some of the high N amendments stew in there before planting, i've mixed the soil in the hot beds and diluted it some with plain peat and perlite.... still not ready to put plants back in there. thanks to sea4 for the on-the-fly advice. IF i lose any plants i think it will be one of the smaller glues. All the plants that i re-potted last night look alive this morning, a couple small glues could go either way at this point...

Seems like that soil wasn't quite ready, heating up like a compost pile. You know it's alive, anyway, right?

Our tumbler hit 150F last summer. I'm hoping to empty it out today, spread the contents on the flower beds. Like this- ours has served us well for at least 10 years, probably longer-

exactly, soil wasn't ready, too much high N amendments breaking down quickly.....
def the temp of soil was up at 120 or so..... almost burned my hands digging in it.

also, sea4 suggested that the addition of lacto bacillus may have (definitely did) accelurate the breakdown of the high N amdnements and helped to cause the heat.... i asked dank.frank and he said that is definitely a possibility.....

Have you seen those smart pots they sell as raised beds for veggies? They are about 50 inches diameter and 12" deep.

Thinking about picking one up to try out. Love the kiddie pool. Looking dank bro

haven't seen those, but i have a 65 gallon round "smart pot" that's holding a big plant for outdoor/clone stock, might as well be a smart pot raised bed. also have a 65 gallon store bought smart pot with 2 canna-tsu in it for next round....

have you seen the "bagster"? it's a disposable dumpster that the trash company will send you, you put it in driveway or lawn and fill it with trash and call them, they come pickup.
basically it's a cheap alternative to a small rolloff dumpster, for home remodels and whatnot.
i think they look like giant smart pot raised beds...

thanks 3rdEye, I'm really digging the lacto vibes also. Separated the curds from the serum last night, and after transplanted i top coated each plant with a good dose of the curds.

^^top-coat after transplant. I watered the soil well then mulched with a thick layer of alfalfa & hay mix.

My curds were lavender colored this round and the lacto serum looks like pink lemonade. The color came from the black rice wash.

^^ pink lacto bacillus serum, looks just like pink lemonade.

My fermented fruit juice has stopped bubbling and I've been using it at 3-5 tablespoons per 5 gallons. It smells only slightly alcoholic now (smelled much more alcoholic/ferment-y just before finishing, when a foam of white bubbles covered the enitire top).

^^ transplant roots

Love it when ya get those natural spirals in roots.
Reminds me of Chaos Theory :tiphat: that curd looks funky though. Diggin the organic beds, proper.

I was gonna check those out... I really wonder if they'd stand up to no-till over time... mainly the corner seams and threads

GLUE:
picture.php

^ turning some sweet colors

picture.php

^ g13 x rare dankness cornbread pheno #1
this is the only plant in the room that may be re-vegged... I have more seeds from this cross, but this pheno is really standout, great structure, lots of trichs and thick dense (nearly hard) buds that stink of citrus candy (reminds me of durban-y trainwreck-y weed).

picture.php

^^^ g13 x cornbread pheno #2
haven't shown this plant yet.... it's structure is different than #1, less stretch more lateral. it doesn't smell quite as strong as #1, and it's buds may be a little bit dense and harder than #1, altho not as frosty as #1. Also showing some nice colors (unlike the other pheno).

last but not least; Bluberry lemon larry:
picture.php

thin, almost airy buds but has a very unique sweet and kushy green earth smell.... very complex.

picture.php

^^ Blueberry lemon larry nug, the entire plant made these tall spear shaped nuggets like this, nothing in the room "foxtailed", these nugs look like they came close tho, but imo this is the structure of this strain.

I puffed some of the early cut Lime Cookies Bubba (the one that smelled like sour grapes, or grape skins), the smoke flavor is very nice, all vanilla and bitter fruit (sour grape?), definitely reminicent of a bubba kush, but much more fruity and that vanilla flavor is amazing....

also sampled the early cut Ravnus.... smokes so much like Flo that it's funny. Great dark berry earthy-dirty flavor, that afghan-ish smell/flavor is gone now from it now.

Looks like the blueberry is showing strong in that pheno with that foxtailing calyx looking top bud. Well I can't wait to hear how it smokes when it's all finished.

That lime cookies x bubba I might have to crack some more of. Vanilla and sour grapes but more vanilla sounds awesome! What did the vanilla come out with the cure? Oh man I hope the clone stays stable and you are able to bring that to full term because I would love to hear how she is taking to the finish.
