Man oh man, that's what I'm talking about! Definitely starins I've grown from seed flower quicker from clone than from seed. Tangerine looks PERFECT! Great job my friend!
User Name - Thanks  I can't wait to find out the weight on her. It's gotta be almost as much as I usually get off 2 plants
Shit...ya got a lighter? mine ran outta butane from lightin so many of these up
Mr GreenJeans - Why thank you very much sir  I gotta tell ya MGJ, I think I'm gonna hafta continually keep a Tangerine in the flower room to keep yields up. I think I'm getting close to having her dialed in now. The stank is unbelievable Much more skunkier than last time. This batch just smells like skunk ass
Damn i can swear im looking at a 400w harvest here, even tho its a 250w+cfl harvest. Seriously TML, youve landed on my list of favorite pot growers. Mucho, respect bro.
Man, you must have the cute Pepe LePeiu skunks up there. Down here we have the hole with 10 1 week old corpse skunks - their asses are strickly off limits, very long acting psychotropic aroma...
I would say you are one of the lucky ones who found a unique keeper mom with some ease. And you've dialed her in pretty quick! Great stuff. Now to find a nice complement for her. Then between 1, 2, and their offspring you could have some fun variety for quite some time .
What can I say about your power conservative style grow, I'm here for the duration! I agree with Pontiac that your results are excellent within your lighting constraints. Not to mention you eliminate a whole heap of heat and power issues.
Ok ok - I'll stop pattin ya on the back now... Pass that tangerine shaped ball of kif will ya :friends:
User Name - Noooooo!!! not the trimming hand I'd hafta get one of those cybernetic replacement hands with a vacuum bud trimmer on the end...hmmm on second thought...chop away!
I guess I'm gonna hafta get one of those table lighters for in here seeing as UN is the only one with a light
pontiac - you're making me blush. Thanks for the compliments. I guess it lets me know I've improved in my last few grows. I knew I could pull off decent yields and be energy efficient if I put my mind to it
Success is sweet
MGJ - I gave up skunk ass sniffing for last years new years resolution, but am still highly addicted
I think either of those Tangerine phenos would have been good to keep. I went for the yielder...that's the main reason I bought a chronic cross was to get yield up Seems to be working in my favour. Plus I still got 8 beans left
I'm thinkin bout findin a Hempstar momma too...but I have an itch to wait for a new strain (Mikado on my mind). I also wanted to mess around with possibly breeding P#1 You know how easy it is to get some crazy ideas when you get excited about growing.
Thanks for the compliments too. You know I wouldn't have made it this far without yours and all the others help here on IC
I'm gonna hafta cook you guys a 5 course cannabis meal for all the great support and compliments Where'd I put my apron...
Grape Day 48...Blueberry Day 10...Passion #1 Day 1
Grape Day 48...Blueberry Day 10...Passion #1 Day 1
update time
Grape -
^ I thought a very Ind. dom. plant like this would be done within the 50 day range oh well..I got the patience and supply to wait on her. Looks like she may reach the 60 day mark too. Buds are beautifully frosty, I still hope she packs on some good weight too, yeild should be decent.
Unfortunately those clones were taken too late in flower they were still somewhat alive, but after 30 days...if they didn't have roots by now...
This will be the one and only grape for awhile.
Blueberry -
^^ Very stretchy. Already as tall as grape. I pinched the top node to slow her down a bit today.
She seems to have some problem with a few leaves that are curling...anyone know what could cause this?
She seems like an awful picky plant. Strange leaves...strange growth.
Passion #1 -
^^^ First 12/12 from seed for me. I'm not exactly sure, but she's about 14-15 days from time she was dropped in soil. Day 1 of the 12/12 here.
Wish her luck
Only thing in the veg box right now is Tangerine from clone (note: I didn't call her a clone...now she is a plant) and a few BB cuttings.
BB cuttings are for if this round is a success, I'll go another.
Tangerine will be cut and then flowered, and one of those cuttings will become a momma (possibly bonsai'd)
That's it for now...Tangerine dry nugget shots should be in a few days, she's not quite dry yet.
Alex - I really havn't even checked the trichs on Grape yet, which is odd for me. I havn't felt the need yet, cuz she looks nowhere near done yet. I should probably check them tommorrow to see how far off I am and whether or not I should start flushing now. She was fed last about 4 days ago, so that may have been her last.
Thanks for the tip on the BB. I havn't really even researched it much yet because all the growth is nice and green and I've been taking GMT's lazy
growing approach too literally lately.
BF - I wasn't originally planning on cloning Grape, but on day 15 of 12/12 there was some bottom "sucker" branches I wanted to get rid of and I figured wtf, might as well give them a shot. To tell you the truth I shoulda saved one for a pic, they actually grew some nice little mini buds sitting in a cup of water. Maybe my lighting was too much for rooting clones? (25cm[10"] from 65W mixed CFL) Maybe Grape is a not so easily cloned strain?
I hope your SH make it out alright
Just remember PN2P's advice, you're not trying to grow growth...you are trying to grow roots, use very little light.
Right now I'm trying to root my BB clones using only 1 23W daylight CFL about 25cm (10") from the bulb. I'll let u know if it improves my ratio and speed of success.
Insomniac - This was my second Tangerine harvest (3rd plant) and I was impressed with the smoke the first time around. This round was from the clone I decided to keep from the slightly more Ind. dom plant of the first two. The other one was quite the sativa and after tasting her creamsicle goodness I regret not keeping both.
I think I did a much better job with her this time though, even at days 71 and 76 last time around I could have let them go longer. I've been practicing the art of patience lately and will soon find I'm sure it paid off.
Grape is packing it on pretty good. I was never expecting a huge yield from it and it may be more than I was initially expecting. However, if i ever do grow Grape again it will be LST'd for multi cola.
Thanks for the compliments guys
Tangerine should be dry tommorrow...it will be a whole 7 days and I usually don't hafta wait that long, it has been humid though.
I've never had a harvest stink like this before. I'm going to hafta come up with an alternative drying method if this continues. Even Hempstar with it's candy skunk was easily masked. Tangerine...which last time had almost no odour at all is suddenly some of the skunkiest weed I've ever smelled
Anyone else with any suggestions about BB's health, your input is always welcomed
Nice looking pics and subjects...not much time but to skim...I'm with Alex..looks like the claw (over-N) from here..maybe just water the next couple times..flush now if it gets or has already looks serious..then let her dry out well..
Under water/ over water, root damage or bound can cause droop too, but the leaf stems usually wilt as well..with the claw the leaves are usually dark green..it may take awhile for the plant to respond to treatment..
the fighting buddha (blueberry father) is doing the same thing, f3 & f7, which carry the blueberry scent, are curling the worst. lorax and i were discussing it, we believe it maybe be too much residual P in the mix. what do you think?
packn2puff - Welcome back my friend Thanks for the tips.
I didn't exactly flush her yesterday, but I watered double what I usually do and let her run off quite a bit. As for over/underwatering, I'm pretty good with that and almost positive that's not the case. Too much N could be a posibility, but I havn't given her much N either unless just the EWC alone in the soil mix is too much
User Name - Hmmm...that's an interesting hypothesis I did mix some bone meal in with the soil mix. Maybe too much? P would make more sense since I've only fed her once with 5-10-5 fish ferts.
All new growth on her is looking great and dark green. It's only the older fans that have "the claw", so I'm sure whatever it was...the problem seems to be in the past.
Arrrgggh Spider mites however are not a thing of the past anymore. Seems some got in my veg box, and when I brought BB in the flower room, they attacked Grape. I broke the pest strip back out of the bag and wiped leaves, but either they became immune to the no-pest strip, or it's run outta shtuff. So, I must need a new no-pest strip. Gonna need one round the veg box too, they attacked my Tangerine in there, but was a short lived attack when sparayed good with safers soap.
Luck was on my side again today though I found a 52 pint dehumidifier for free
Although the humid season is pretty much over...it will be great to have for next season.
Really glad I didn't spend the $200 now and stuck out the summer.
Good things come to those who wait
Well...I hurt my back yesterday when I fell off a friends porch (yes...I was sober )
I'm just fine, just a little sore is all...the body just doesn't seem to heal itself as fast anymore and must say this is the first time I've ever felt old
I'm going to go get myself in a Hempstar state of relaxation
Hiya TML
First off, sorry about your back. Even though you're fine, still sucks when it happens. Get a bit extra rest my friend...
On to the plants. Yes, them older leaves can be funny ducks at times - to understand if the are complaining now or were they complaining back when
Surprisingly after a mostly pest free summer, figures now with a new run of seedlings I've got a case of spider mites! Broke out the pest strip again, but I'm gonna bite the bullit and get a few pyrethrin bombs - gotta assume the basement has a few bug homes now and better do a couple sequential nukings over a couple weeks.
Super snag on that dehumidifier! That should do ya! Congrats on the find!
sounds like somebody took one too many bongloads? just kidding man, hope you feel better soon. i know exactly what you're saying though, i'm feeling the same thing.
the tang looks killer man good job!
mgj, right on about the older leaves, those can be a pain to diagnose
good catch with the de-humi, i couldn't afford it and don't usually need it but it's been pretty wet late summer. a friend of mine has been fighting a little mold right after his harvest, sucks ass to lost buds to mold. i have yet to see any mold, i always let the dense buds hang an extra day or so, they're deceivingly wet inside
ahh and about the P, i've read that P is the hardest to flush out of your soil, so maybe some different food is in order for these sensitive strains
Mr GreenJeans - Thanks for looking out.
I used to play alot of lacrosse (many broken things ) and my body has taken a violent beating my whole life. I'm usually the kind of guy that can walk away from anything. Something as simple as falling off a metre high porch shouldn't have taken it's toll...I guess it's time to start facing facts
After all the reading I've done on BB lately, I can understand why mine has freakish early growth...seems like they all do. The new leaves look ok though and she's starting to flower up nicely.
I'm sure you'll take care of the bugs like a pro Thanks for the tip on the bomb...I think I'll be doin the same
RH in the growroom was 68% at the beginning of the day. A short 5 hours later it was 53%
User Name - It was dark...that's my story and I'm stickin to it
I've never experienced mold either and I'd really like to keep it that way. I too am extra cautious with drying and even find even good dry buds will remoisten a bit in a jar with other buds. I usually leave the lid of my jars completely off for a day or so after 3 days of being jarred and burped.
I think you're right about BB's sensitivities. Maybe no ferts at all for BB except for what the soil is already providing?
Glad you liked the pic...hehe I figured out how to make it big on the page
I'm in a good mood lately and I'm not gonna let this piss me off but....Passion #1 is a male!
The only reason this makes me mad is it is from feminized seed. Well...that and it ruined my perfect female streak
This is the second seed of the 5 I've germed that have been male. I thought I had stressed the other plant male through fimming but now am starting to think my pack is not feminized as claimed.
I bought them from Emery while in Vancouver on vacation a few years back. Passion #1 comes in feminized and regular(?) I'm thinking because the fem were $20 more and maybe they were outta stock, they just passed me on the regular ones and pocketed the rest
I can't really complain though...it's a good plant, all the seeds germed, and I got 12 for a decent price.
I've already made out on my purchase and still have plenty of beans
Now I'm conflicted as I stand here caught with my pants down
Tangerine is ready..but I really planned on vegging her out till grape was done.
BB clones havn't rooted yet...but look exactly the same as the day I cut them, which is telling me I'm probably going to have alot better success with the very little light I'm giving the clones now.
This is good since I'm about to take some Tangerine clippings which has been my most successfully clonable plant to date.
I bought a bag of "Sugar Bear" the other day. I couldn't resist when I saw this stuff. Just trich covered, I'd take a pic but I don't like posting anything but my own pics. What great smoke. No seeds to be found in that bag I'm sure, but I really wish I'd run into one...that would make an interesting freebee
My luck spree continued also today when I was gifted about 1/4 of some schwaggy weed I'll put it away somewhere for a rainy day I guess
Maybe it's karma finally paying me back or maybe I got a horse shoe up my arse :
Grape is still chuggin along...be back with pics soon
