the SSh x PTK is getting cured enough to give a good smooth smoke. i will be posting the smoke reports soon. just a few things to touch up on.

the smoke report of the SSH has gotten much later than suposed - mostly because i been really enjoying the harvest and completelly forgot if i had posted the smokereports..
first i got to say i did not get any bad or dodgy phenos of the SSH x PTK - all of them kicked ass - however 2 of them was so similar i selected only to keep 3 phenos for further evaluation - its really difficult to choose one of these
SSH x PTK
pheno A - D67
smell
- slightly skunky, very acidic, some fruityness, gingery.
sample
- higher branch tip
thoughts about pheno:
- nice looking, round compact buds. resinous. a keeper. smoke expands even after a month of cure. the earliest of the SSH x PTK crosses. a very nice combo with the quick flowering and the deacent yields. might be the most potent of the SSH x PTK crosses. after a whole day of smoking other strains this one kicks me up on an other level of high.
taste lit
- very spicy and gingery tasty with an acidic freshness to it. a sour mix of the haze and PTK flavours. i like it a lot.
high
- soaring up high, potent, dizzy spells, strong head rush.
SSH x PTK
pheno B D72
smell
- a heavy fruity acidid mature smell. hard to discribe. a lot more sweeter than the pheno C
sample
- bud from tip of branch
thoughts about pheno:
- rounder looks to the bud. its more a compact ball of calyx than the pheno C. the PTK influence is obvious. (the only one of the phenos i didnt keep)
taste lit
- skunky and acidic with sour tangy feeling
high
- long hazy sativa high with a dose of indica kick in it.
SSH x PTK
pheno B LATE - D82 (looks like pheno b but its very late and more potent)
smell
- fresh tingy acidic, piny and gingery

- higher branch tip
thoughts about pheno:
- more sativa like open buds than any other, also the latest flowering. i really like the high of this one too. higher yilder than the rest. a slow starter didnt start packing on untill the first cross had finished.
taste lit
- strong sour ginger flavour with tones of sweet pear coming in the aftertaste the smoke is really spicy..
high
- a strong high - a good combo of head and body..
SSH x PTK
pheno C D69
smell
- sour smell with a spicy touch. there is some trace of overmature fruit.

- bud from tip of branch
thoughts about pheno:
- the SSH pheno. pointy SSh looking tips. the calyx are spread out in a sativalike fashion. expanding. very good yilder. the next biggest of the SSH phenos i had. a good combo of yield, flowering time and potency.
taste lit
- skunky and spicy. very good taste. a litle bit of acidic fresh citric touches with sweet peary aftertaste.
high
- instant bliss. even after a whole day of smoking this gets me going even higher. one of my favourites. impressed all that tried it - i didnt see anyone pull more than a few drags on it before parking it in the ashtray and get quite.

Nice report and excellent thread bonecarver.
I started 3 SSH X PTK and 4 (SSBB X PTK) X PTK. They were all planted ouside in the ground Wednesday April 26th. Please answer this question even if you are making a guesstimate.
What month do you think I should be monitoring closely to harvest. I guess I can always go for a brief check mid Sept than end of Sept then first week Oct and keep an eye on them. However, visits create trails and trails are bad.

tarzan - very difficult to say. i dont know where ya live, what day light cycles u have, nor the phenos u will get ....
but more or less in october should be ok.
some phenos are early and some are late - check the report.
