Here the reort on my birthday celebration in Rotterdam.
I was invited by Gijs, a dear friend of mine and another friend that was having "a set" that night at absolute music @ the Maas silo in Rotterdam.
That's what friendship means to me.... an invitation.
When I came to my friend's house saturday night he was just repotting his 5 babies into new pots.
We had a drink and a smoke at his terrace.
After midnight we drove to Rotterdam and the full moon was rising, big and yellow hanging over us. It felt like the right night to celebrate! Good vibes.
When we arrived at the Maas silo we parked our car near the harbour. A beautifull night view over the Maas harbour. And beside the harbour the gigantic Maas silo.
There were three spaces where the dj's were playing.
The big main hall, the middle hall and the basement.
Paintings at the walls. Nice location.
The crowd was very colorfull and mixed.
Straight people, gay peole, Morrocon people, Turkish people, black, white, transvestites....
2 joints and 2 bottles of water took me throught the night.
I danced the whole night. From 2 o'clock in the morning till 6 o'clock.
When we came out the sun was rising and we had a clear view over the harbour.
With a big smile on our faces we drove home to The Hague, chilled a little with a cup of tea and went to sleep...
What a great day!
By the way, the picture of the boobies are taken by my friend Gijs.
He has an eye for that... lol.
Thanks guys for this invitation. I'll never forget this birthday....
Keep on making music and dancing folks...., it's the "Juice of Life"....
Just received an email from the neighbourhood police man that they are glad that they could come to the conclusion now that my neighbour has NO plants and that the tolerated amount of 5 plants at my terrace are mine.
So the final result at the Canna Embassy this season is:
1 female Purple Princess, 1 female Afghan, 2 female Green Ambassador's and 1 male Purpurea Erdber, that just showed his sex....
Will be great crosses!!
Let the sun shine....
I was buying a sandwich in the shop when 4 girls came in and saw my hair.
They kept on asking me questions like: "How did you do it and is it dyed?" and stuff like that and even didn't look anymore at their melting ice creams they just bought. The Chineze lady and her husband followed the conversation behind the counter with a smile on their faces.
I answered the girls and after I received my sandwich I walked out of the door and said goodbye.
The girls followed me and specialy the girl with the "miss" T-shirt.
She asked me if I would like to take her picture.
I asked her: "Why"?.
"Just because", she said like a little lady..., so she imideately went to the wall took a pose and smiled....
I am thinking at that moment: "That's how programms like "America's next Top Model" create a "fake" vision of beauty. TV is a very powerfull vehicle and whitouth awareness it can ruin unique, individual human beings by distracting people from themselves.
That's one of the reason's why I myself stopped making TV after 18 years.
The most broadcasted on TV is just pulp.... and I don't mean Pulp Fiction, lol.....
Sun is shining overhere at the moment and the temperature is around 20 degrees.
The first sign of summer is calling, the first Morning Glory flower of this season...
Those black crows were sitting and hustlling in front of my window....
My brother of 43 has an agressive form of brain tumor and just had his second chemical series.
The doctor thought that he had still 5 months to live, he doubled that already....
Now I came across the following scientific information and sended my brother the link.
Here you go:
"I don't want to give people false hopes, but at least I tried something"....
When I visited Hemp BC and the Harm Reduction Club (first club in Vancouver that sold openly Cannabis to members of the Harm Reduction Club) in Vancouver back in 1996
I got introduced in that time to an organistion called "Norml".
I think it's a great organisation...
They have also a medical link:
Life goes on folks and to nurish life is the only way to survive....
Sun is setting....
All my plants from the living and the plants at the terrace are just been "showered" and I nurish the plants with some Canna Vega which I give the plants twice a week
now.
It was a nice and sunny day and nobody complaining....
That to me is already a peacefull day.. lol.
Good to see the plants and doing ok GA Its so good you can deal with the police the way you can in your country.Looks and like a good rave ie party what ever you want to call it sounds like you had a good time anyways ga .
Ga have you ever been to a ic mag cup #on 420 if not you should m8 its a real blast meting alot of of nice like minded folks . But then again i forgot you can do that anyway lol .I am sorry to hear about your bro ga .and i hope things sort out for the best InshaAllah they will .
If only i could have a outdoor garden like that you never know ga u could be getting this uker as a neighbour yet lol.Oneday inshAllah i do hope to move to your lovely country, i just have to learn Dutch first ,which is not so easy .As your words are so long and i find them pritty hard to say .Though its funny the last time me and a m8 went to Holland 2 people thought we was Dutch .As One Italian waiter siad .After he spoke to us in dutch . We both looked at him confussed to what he just said .
And then we said sorry we dont speak dutch, just English and he said sorry i thought you was Dutch , we just smiled and said no .Why he thought we looked Dutch i dont know as i am not tall 5.9 and most Dutch are over 6 foot being as they are the tallest people on the planet .Cool cactus as well GA
GA haveyou heard anymore news on the new Dutch laws todo with the 500 meters near a school ,GA will most of the Dutch people just let the coffie shops shut, or is it somthing that even the non smokes in Holland feel strongly about. ie you way is the right way .And they rest of the world are the ones who are daft .
As i said b4 your country has proved making herb how it is ie for sale in cafes does not make a country go to pot parden the pun .So would you say most dutch folks see it that way that , ie they are for the coffie shops or not GA .
So many questions!!
I will answer one by one....
Yes I've been to the second editon IC 420 near the harbour. I had a good time.
I had a chat with some friends I know already for years and from several "scenes".
I am not an old Hippie, I was born end fiftees, so I could have been a "Hippie child", but my parents are religious persons, so as in every religeon, they had their clear point of view how life should be in that time.
I try to accept more and more how life realy is: Living as much as possible in the moment and squeezing the juice of life.
"Paradise now, it's your birth right"!!
Religions create heaven and hell and every religion believes that THEIR religion is the true one.
I see myself as a religous person, but I don't belong to a church, a Mosk, an institute. I don't believe in rituals, or traditions.
I don't believe in miracles either....
I'ts a miracle that birds are still singing, the sun is still shining, prais every day my brother is living and the music is still playing on so I can dance the night and day away...
I don't belong to any religion, I don't belong to any state, or organisation, I belong to the ultimate.... ,the Universe....
"Dancing Shoes"
The coffeeshops:
The Dutch state can't close them down from today, or tomorrow on...
Don't worry they don't close down the coffeeshops totaly.
And at the worst case scenario, you can grow your own.... lol.
I think to realise the so called "The Hague example" in Amsterdam will take at least 5 years, if.... In The Hague are around 34 coffeeshops left, but the city is almost half the size of Amsterdam.
because the tolerance (special) Cannabis laws can change any moment, if the face of the governement and political colors are changing....
But worldwide, to my opninion there is a fundamentalistic Christian moralistic regime going on that's not in favour of building up this world in many ways, but in destroying this world in one way, with weapons.. and those are teaching other people moral values... how cynical!
Some of you heard me saying it before on Overgrow:
"How can the hand that knows the beauty of a rose flower carry a gun loaded with death"?
That's one of the oneliners that's always in the back of my head...
Everybody could be gone any moment in this crazy world, Iraque was far away a couple of years ago, Uruzgan was far away ago a couple of years ago.., Serbia was far away a couple of years ago and now it's in our "back garden"...
Sons and daughters are loosing their parents and the other way around in countries they will never visit...
I just try to stay centred in the centre of the cyclone called Life and celebrate indeed as much as possible HR...
Life is hell enough already!!
Sweet dreams world....
I know the Maassilo very well. Good to hear you had a great time out there!
Here's a pic of my humble attempt to grow some plants again after a couple of more or less plantless years. The [Thai x Mexico] x Banghi were a gift in the true sense of the word. They had a bad start with too much rain and very little sunshine, hence the stretched stems, but now they seem to be having a good time again. Then there's only one Haze Special out of 6 beans that sprouted and it still isn't feeling great by the looks of it, but I'm pretty confident she'll recover in time. Let's hope she turns out to be a 'she' indeed. And there are three Ecuador sativas (brickseeds) in the back of which two are doing okay and one is a bit slow in development.
I think I could have done better, but work is demanding a lot of my time and energy at the moment so I'm hoping on a little luck this season. And some serious efforts from my neighbour's cat of course to keep intruders away. Other than that I have a couple of larger pots at the ready, filled with an airyer type of soil. The little Ecuadors will remain in their 3 litre pots, but I'm planning to give the other ones a little more space as soon as they've developed a little further. We'll see what happens...
It was another day of sun and nice temperature.
Every day I make a walk downtown and today I met my friend Marcelino again on my way.
Downtown there is a nice exhibition of pictures at the main street.
So I had a lot to see today...
The plants are realy enjoying the sun and temperature.
In front of my house are around 25.000 cars driving by a day, because it's the only direct way from the highway to the centre.
So I call the front of my house "hell" and the little terrace at the back "my little paradise". (heaven). The green at the back of my house compensates a little the polution in front of my house....
As said, in the centre of the cyclone....
Take care folks and stay safe, wherever you are, whatever you do...
This is realy funny guys.....
Some of you might remember the Canna Embassy price winning picture on Overgrow a couple of years ago....
I was surfing the web a little and found the following Overgrow?? website with my picture among a lot of other pictures I recognize from the old days at Overgrow.??
Does anybody know this language?
Looks like Russian to me...
hehe, you're linking us to the pictures of the month from OG, archived on a russian site. Nice find!
ehhhh, fond memories.
I can recognize a lot of pics from many fine members at OG, and lots of discussions surrounding them, when you look carefully you'll find another picture of yours.
Glad you like the link.
Good to see some pictures back like BOG's and the South African bro, I forgot his nick name...
Yes indeed this is the second one... lol.
Three weeks ago Skizzo got three kittens. 2 little grey boys and a dark girly...
So sweet those little kittens and the proud mom.
I can watch them for hours.....
