Id say besides Jimbo having a lil leak here or there, he does knock a few days off the time.... just gotta maintain a nice water temp.... honestly I just judge with my hand... this round Iv just be using the cool tap... straight.... lol..... :tiphat:

@Retro..... Yeah we got real old ones here.... at least 20years.... Its kinda perfect situation too as its behind my electric fence... ie I gotta let them in to read the thing or do any maintenance... but Im not sure Im gona be able to flip the thing every evening and then get it back in normal position by sunrise, without there becoming noticeable wear an tear.... these people here have no schedule what so ever, so some months they dont even pitch..... then pow! right when you dont need them they come making a stink..... Theres some policy here that they gona increase our price of power by 33% each year for the next three years or something fucking scary...... yet youll drive past empty shopping centres and parking lot after lot being light by 400w MH's so I feel fuckall for one two lights that actually have a fucking function......
Iv heard you can place big magnets ontop of these things and you can get them to spin backwards..... its one of those old ones with a aluminium disk thats spins....[farrrrr to fucking fast for my liking...]
Fuck I wish my granddad was still alive..... he'd be taking pride in sticking it to the man....... My uncle is a sparky, but I dont wana go asking q's like that you know..... I just want that disk stationary from dusk till dawn, Im guaranteed here then and they've not coming to check shit at night, and if they do..." Eish sorry brah, fence motors broken, repair guys only coming in the morning blahblahblah..."
Jeeebus I need to sort this thing out.....

Well, ours used to come on a monthly schedule. You only needed to flip them once a month. They were the round glass meters, with a collar around them, with a clip that you would have to break to pull apart. We had a guy from electric company supplying us with fresh clips, otherwise they knew you messed with it. The meters had four plugs on the back, the whole meter plugged in, like a wall socket but with four plugs instead of two. Just flip them upside down and they ran backwards! We would pay about $5 a month..

2weeks of 12/12 complete.... starting to form lil bud sites....
Probs give them another week to stretch it out before I add the netting, splay them out and thin out all the larfy crap, thats just not gona produce..... so next weekend.... I read that no one defoliates shit before day 21......

picture.php

Some growth since yesterdays pic... gona need to start putting a plan into action for this next set...... stan

Its overcast and cool this morning, wave looks flat again..... I see its the Emerald Cup this wknd...... would much rather be there, fuck, here its a public holiday that means a long wknd which in turn signifies the beginning of the holiday season..... that public holiday signifies a epic victory at the Battle of Blood River in 1838 to one prominent culture, and to another culture is the date that their political party founded their armed wing....... basically its a nationally reason to redefine the term "Shitfaced fucked"...... and fuck shit it....

See the problem with that is that meter hanging on the side of your house is not your property
As long as utilities have been using meters to measure electric consumption, some people have been trying to slow down the devices’ methodical pace or bypass them altogether.
However, it’s against the law and dangerous – potentially fatal.
On average, power companies report about one case per month for prosecution. In Texas, meter tampering is a felony punishable by up to two years in jail.
don't kid your self there advanced technology also helps detect meter tampering and theft. Every one of there meters is automatically read every day. Each reading is processed through a meter data management system and a sophisticated billing system. These systems can detect meter reads that are abnormal or suspicious. When that happens, they send someone to the location to inspect the meter for defects or damage. if there tampering on meter shit will hit the fan that is why there are meter tags go have a look on your meter read to me what it says beside the tag about tampering with a meter ??? Bottom line tampering with a meter is theft over and a criminal offence let alone when they come an find your nice green garden in your house that alone will burry you even more with more charges
number 1 reason for getting busted for growing is tampering / stealing electricity

Nugs looks good but small in size. This can be due to many factors: pot size, media choice, environment, and proper pruning and training all come into play.

Looks like you did just fine. With experience each area above will improve and you will continue seeing better results each time.

@LSWM... thanks.... I did put heaps of effort lol, but I also knowingly made some fuck ups..... see I got this thing bout heat, lol, I aslo fried those girls bout 3weeks before I flipped em.... what can I say, I fuck things up.... But all your points are taken, I appreciate you taking the time to look over the few pics and comment on them... cheers!! Yeah you gona laugh but a few months back when this all started I knew it wasnt like "guaranteed" chronic.... but that it looked "way" easier than it actually is... lol... I mean come on, you see the "older" guys completely killing it on here with their three/four light setups.... but you see none of the hard work and effort that goes into letting that perfection take place.... Weed explodes outdoors here, what with 30dC and 65%RH outdoors you think it would right? And like you say its the time..... the "experience" takes time..... runs under the belt... mistakes learnt from.... So it was my darft thinking that you put a light you get chronic.... D'oh.... lmfao...... effort......

Right lil update for those that are following....

picture.php

These 19 cuts were taken on the 6th of December, its the 16th today. I split the stems once and gave them a slight abrasion before place into their collars. Plain tap water, I didnt add crushed aspirin as Im not sure if it might clog the nipples after a few weeks[I can never seem to rack it fine enough...] And I think thats a 75W fish tank fluro hanging above it... said "for healthy aquarium plant life..." so I scooped it..... runs real cool..... Like I said I just test the water temp with my hand, if Im a lil unsure I get a jug and scoop a sample out the rez, I then preform the "Ball Test".... If anyones wants finer details on how that works just shout....... Anyways....

Right..... No ones asked in detail what Im feeding these girls, or what I can get my hands on without to much trouble...

picture.php

Love this stuff.... reeks to high fucking heaven..... Plants explode....

picture.php

This shit........ This is what Iv been using in flower.... its hard, its nasty

On friday I gave them their last feed[tonight they be hungry] and I mixed two crushed aspirin with two tablespoons of blackstrap and 25ml[shot glass][jose] of the Seagro in half L of lukewarm tapwater[now, locally here we've won awards for the quality of our drinking water, but fuck this is Africa, these just no way this waters good, its just imposable, lol.... Iv seen municipal water lines leaking here for not months but fucking years! Over 5 fucking years same leak... not like a puddle... Im talkin mains fool!!] I then take that half L of shit and add it to 10L of rain water. Then to that two flat measuring spoon of that there "flower gro", mix properly and feed 1L to each girl, and they really seemed to perk up after that..... Now, some of the leaves look a lil pail to me...?? Anyone else?? Is that magnesium sulphate gona help that out....?? Previously Iv fed that to the girls at the end of week two and week four respectively..... A friend says it makes roses flower.....?? I havnt fed it to them this round as of yet......

picture.php

And the stuff I read heaps about but can make completely fuckall out about it..... theres the blackstrap too, but we all know what that looks like right?

we're going to have to teach you how to make your own organic ferts out of fish!! the seagro looked pretty good but the bloom one is entirely synthetic salts so it wouldn't be very beneficial to your microbes, and there is no calcium in the bloom nutes. seagro had some calcium but the ratio of cal to mag was not ideal. there should be at LEAST double the cal as the mag. calcium is important in flower because is helps put on weight and fights bud rot. you can use The Unconventional Gardener website to find the fish fert recipe. takes a while to make but the next run would be ready for it or you could prepare in advance for next season.

btw, pretty sure me and you talked extensively about what you were feeding and it was duck pond water :D this seems like an improvement.

@Lady..... Jeeeeebus not keen for dead fish fucking anywhere!! I got this thing bout fish, fishing, being a part of the food chain, and attacks...... fish is cool, but I try not eat too much fish.... the reasons may sound silly, but wait till you get buzzed by an aquatic bus.... Yeah I know the flowergro is synthetic, not actually to stressed bout being organic, if I had canna 13/14 Id being throwing that an the kitchen sink at em.... its just what I got lying around or stuff I dont need a small mortgage to buy..... Thats why Im not mixing the worm tea with the flowgro.... Oh an I think you got the wrong idea.... Theres no ducks, no birdshit water.... its an old duck/geese pond, thats more of a mini reservoir... a foot an a half high.... filled with scrapes from the kitchen and garden waste... no protein, no birdshit, no sitting water.... Theres red wrigglers and normal earthworms in there.... its damp and moist, but I only water this heap when I need to flood it and collect the run off... Iv been using that as a base instead of the rain water for my vegging plants... So basically that "wormtea"[or whatevers you wana call it] seagro, blackstrap, aspirin for vegging plants. Then rain water with blackstrap, aspirin, seagro and flowergro for 12/12.... I dwindle the seagro amount and up the flowergro through the 12/12 cycle till I hit "flush"..... well thats what I have been doing.... sorry If I wasnt clear in my previous explanations..... So any ideas bout a calcium supplement....? Fuck, do you think they girls look hungry for C?

It rained the whole night last night.... still on and off here... so humid too.... its that public holiday here today... can already here the parties starting..... Coffee taste good and been on a cleaning spree... it actually never seems to end, the fridge is next.......

I guess I was confused. I figured a duck pond would have ducks. doesn't sound like a pond when it's only a foot and a half tall filled with composted scraps and stinks to high heaven.

just because you don't mix the compost tea and bloom nutes doesn't mean that when it's in your soil it's not doing the same thing. if you put something that has high phosphorus in your soil in any way, your microbes won't do their magic.

no your plants don't look like they need calcium except that calcium is one of six macronutrients that are essential. calcium is responsible for bud development and makes them resistant to bud rot. I thought that would be something to consider since you asked what you could do in the future for next time. I would say to add some egg shells or some form of organic additive but then you would need those microbes to break it down and make it plant available. fluctuations in humidity will cause the bud rot and if you don't have calcium, it could be more likely. bud rot will take your whole harvest in a very short amount of time. it looks like a fungus is eating your buds and by the time you do see it, it has formed from the stem and worked it's way out to a visable level so the whole bud is ruined and often you have to sacrifice the whole cola.

@Lady... yeah sorry, Im not the best at clearly explaining things..... I often get my words muddled..... it was an old duckpond, as in it was built with blocks to be filled with water so farm ducks an geese would have water to wet their feet in... when the geese seemed to become demons from resident evil they got the chop, and so that was turned into a huge outdoor worm bed/farm effort.....
luckily Iv never had a problem with any rot what so ever so far inside my room, outside however is a different story, everyone who grows outdoors here bitches about it.... with the humidity we've got here, which isnt helped by the warm ocean, as soon as the a few days drizzle sets in so does the rot..... thats why those world famous sativas do so well outside here.... hell you've even got a "cross" of the so called one... however as far from fuck as you could possibly get from the real thing which is soooo fucking hard to find nowadays.... just making coin off a name from 15years ago... not knocking you at all... buds look good.... But real poison is just sooooo different....
Yeah I gotta try sort something thats rather simple to brew/make is cheap yet effective with regards to a flower supplement, been collecting the fruit bat shit, but with all the rain it gets washed away, not like winter..... So the PM/bud rot is under control, I know what to look for and how to deal with it...

if you want to see what the Durban bubble can do, look at Nes's outdoor album. he has been growing it for a long time and knows it well so he can make the buds super fat. I am not overly impressed by my buds. they've been through the ringer and I'm just pushing them through the line. just you wait and watch as I grow the Durban repeatedly. she will be much better next time now that I know she's a food hog, loves her mag, need a huge root space and needs lollipopped and scrogged out in a long veg to perform. if I fix all of this next time, just you wait and see :D

I get it now with the duck ditch for paddling their feet in. when you say pond, I'm thinking something small, not moving very fast, and you said it was stinky so smelly, I was a bit confused and thanks for the clarification.

what type of bat house did you build? I have a big bat colony during the summer (maybe they're there year round but active in the breeding months) but thought it would be neat to build some houses for them and then you could harvest your own bat shit. take that you sustainability butts.

of course after I get updated on a rabies shot. lol

@Lady..... yeah Im not knocking you at all.... swear... Actual Durban Poison is almost haze like, its got tiny bright green buds the size of a R1 coin.... the plants get huge!! They take forever to grow and flower. The high is extremely racy... and its got that proper liquorice smell and flavour.... Its nice, just not that taste I personally am after.... you rock it sister..... keen to see exotic "poison".....!!!!
Yeah sorry bout the "pond" confusion lol, to throw more of a spanner in the works its deep enough to keep, say koi in.... knee deep....
Nah no bat house.... they just roost in the palms during the day, but move from place to place as they get spooked.... very shy buggers.... If any ones ever stayed over whose not from around here, they cant sleep at night the bats are so loud, often guests/relatives are adamant Im taking the piss and that the place is haunted or something lol..... walk outside and you gotta watch the dive bombing, but they not the huge fruit bats...... just the smaller insect eaters.... sorry Im no bat expert lol

that would be perfect if you could collect the droppings. building a bat house is very simple and they would probably love sleeping in there as I would imagine it would provide a sense of security. the fruit bats would have lots of goodies for bloom. ours nest in the wood pile and I find them rarely clinging to a piece of wood. super cute but I still wouldn't want to touch one.

I'm not into sativa's much. she had some pretty pics and had purple trichs when grown outdoors which was spectacular to see. he was also growing a Nigerian sunshine cross but if you wanted to get seeds (is that even possible?) Ace seeds has some landrace sativas I think would go well with your area.

I don't think you're knocking me. the sustainability butts part is in regards to something else. :D
