I care not what others think and i can deal with the haters as i have been.
If they dont like it they can F*C& right off as i dont care.
And if you are down with them so be it.

:laughing::laughing:relax bro, relax...burn one, puff puff pass:joint:.
And I told YOU not to go to WIKI, Hold Your Fire comes in to defend Jimi with it! :dance013: Oh gosh, I love this site sometimes....so fun...so fun.

Check out the first two sentences of Jimi's wiki page.
In case you do not want to it says
"He is often considered the greatest electric guitarist in the history of rock music, by other musicians, and commentators of the industry."
So your point is?

I give Luda props for this thread; maybe he knew what it would eventually turn into....:dunno: When I saw it I thought to myself, "now this will get interesting". I think the phrase, (opinions are like assholes everyone has one) is perfectly exhibited in this thread. It's music, people can sit here and argue all night long and it will never change. Some people would think that Gerry Garcia was the best ever guitarist. I can't stand the Dead...never liked any of their music.:tiphat: Luda.

The best by far is Jimi. It's only my opinion, but I'm sure a lot of people agree with me. I wouldn't lead off a Best Rock Guitarists thread with Mark Knopfler and The Edge and post-Cream Clapton and people like that.

Why not start my thread with varied rock and roll bands as thats what the thread is for and like i said i dont like jimi so why would i start my thread with anything other than what i like.

I am just going to light a big joint and chill as i dont want to argue the case. I just want to hammer down beats without any hassle.

There are dozens if not 100's of musos who have openly claimed Jimi influenced them in 1 way or another,,, you only need to listen or read the numerous interviews of his peers to learn how much they revered him.
Gee, there are quite a few musos mentioned in this thread who either went to see him play or had the pleasure of jamming with him.

There are way too many incredible guitarists imho, Jimi just happens to be one of them.

Thats what pisses me off. People telling me what to do and dissing my thread with no contribution. Just the usual trolls/stalkers with nothing better to do but plenty of S*I$ to start with..

To reiterate/backup my statement made earlier, my brother and his friends would think this is the best ever...:headbange Deftones; Korea.

I can't even understand a word of what this guy Chino is saying. Pretty good beat though.

I never saw if you told me when you are going to see slash if he is solo or what? Duff going to be there? I saw the gunners twice live, great shows both of them.:tiphat:

I dont know who will be there but "myles kennedy" will be for sure.
I have seen slash a couple of times already so it should be a good show.

I'm not telling you what to do but if you can't take a little criticism you might want to think about not starting a thread about something so many people are so passionate about. I think you pretty much killed your own thread with your opinions about Jimi.

I'd say Hendrix was the best ever. In fact he was miles ahead of anyone else. Not just my opinion. Most musicians would say the same and polls of best rock guitarist always have him as number one. I would have loved to hear him with Miles Davis (if only he had lived)

I also liked in no particular order:
Jimi Page
Eric Clapton
Johnny Winter
Joe Satriani
Ritchie Blackmore
Keith Richards
John Mclaughlin
Pete Townsend
Dave Gilmore
Tommy Bolin
