A contractor is someone who is working for a contract.

A civilian isn't the same thing.

We killed literally tons of civilians.

If Trump was obliterated in an airstrike the entire right would froth at the mouth for war.

our "contractors" in the middle east? (and other places) are mercenaries. think "Blackwater"...yeah, THAT kind of "contractor".

We weren't attacked though. Unless you consider Iraq a part of the US now.

Also this is just incorrect. You need congressional approval.

good

the same intelligence agencies that are the deep state who have been working against Trump this entire time?

the same intelligence agencies that said Saddam had WMD's, that Syria was gassing it's own people, those intelligence agencies?

lol!

One “imminent” threat after another. Another way to bypass Congress.
Another abuse of power with no consequences.

Looks like maybe NYTimes thinks he was building a weapons factory. If the NY Times would have gotten this story out just a little sooner Salami could have been tipped off and changed his plans. Too bad. Maybe next time NYTimes will get the message out more quickly. I wonder if the author will get the death penalty for treason. Does the US still do that? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

"Is an adversary building something that might be a weapons factory? Is there an individual in an unfriendly country who cannot be apprehended? What if the former commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Qassim Suleimani, visits Baghdad for a meeting and you know the address? The temptations to use hypersonic missiles will be many."

Attacking our military bases is an attack on the United States. So your telling me Trump bombed the Iranian general with no evidence, and now that Iran definitely attacked a US base in Iraq you don't think Trump can fire back really? I think your just upset, perhaps smoke some weed.

I think Bolton (who loves war and bombing muslims) agreeing to testify and shithead picking a fight with Iran is related. I bet Bolton agreed to not incriminate him if he starts another oil war.

Hello all,

I can get behind that...thinking that very thing last night myself.

Shithead killed first. What part are you confused about?

He should have never been elected and his supporters parents should have been spayed and neutered.

The US has over 800 military bases around the world. If we weren't an imperialist country, we wouldn't have had any bases over there for them to bomb in the first place, especially after Iraqi gov't told us to leave. And again, you have NO PROOF Iran killed the "american contractor" to begin with.

we bombed them to likely cause iran to retaliate so then we would have justification to attack them further which is what you're doing here in the second part of this post.

All the people who called Obama a warmonger are now cheering for war after a few missiles have been lobbed.

Having another proxy war in Iraq will surely settle the middle east for the next 20 years.

Trump won't attack Iran. Iran just called his bluff.

I agree with you that war should have justification. Unfortunately, with the war on terror and the use of force authorization for the 9/11 wars means that any POTUS has a green light to do pretty much anything. As far as evidence for 'Salami,' it is probably only going to be shown to senate and house intel folk and not with the public, at least for a while. But, it is already acknowledged by all sides that he was a justifiable target except that it could trigger a negative reaction by Iran.

Wasn't really talking about salami (yum yum)and all that jazz, just that you said people prove their innocence (guess I assumed you were talking about legal courts of law). Technically that isnt what happens that gets people let off, they aren't proving innocence, rather the prosecution is failing to prove beyond any sort of question that the person is guilty. It is different than civil court, the reasonable doubt stuff only applies to criminal matters as people are facing a loss of freedom.

I was just responding to the idea that you can't prove a negative. Seems like it is not impossible.

That's not at all true Solumeini was responsible for 1000's of deaths. Many who were Americans. Conveniently you gloss that over. It certainly shows how little respect you have for the brave American men and women who defend your freedom to be a disgusting person.
