Those historical sites are important to the world not just Iran. Targeting sites that are of historical relevance is what ISIS does..There's plenty of sites he could target.

This is the point. Trump made a vague strategic statement in the hopes that Iran will take heed.
Fake news falsely specified 'historic' sites. This led to millions of morons being even further misinformed and siding with Iran and being against Trump over misinformation from fake news.
