Wow, the holiday weekend sure took its toll but I'm back to reality and the computer now! What a wonderful season this is shaping up to be so far....
Let me get to some questions while I have a minute-
MeltingPOT- Basically my tea recipe is about 10-12 pounds of material. Half Earthwormcastings half homemade compost as seen above, and chopped fresh Comfrey leaf. (do some searching, high in Potassium among others) and about a pint of Liquid Kelp. I am lucky enough to have a wife who is an Agricultural Researcher and has done a major study on Compost Teas. I could go into detail but its HUGE so I'll cut it short! I bubble that 55 gallon drum for about 36 hours. You kinda have to know how to "read" it for readiness. The beneficial bacteria should be at their peak, too long bubbling and the bad bugs will start to take over. Should smell very SWEET and earthy, kinda like bottled organic ferts like Age Old or Botanicare....A few batches and you'll develop an "eye" for it.....Thanks for coming by!!
Hi Perpetual, fellow G-House man!! Looking good at your site too!
Weedninja- Believe it or not I have trimmed a TON out already. I'll do some more training and a bit of topping/pruning but at some point ya just gotta let em rip!!! They are bigger than I expected and I am backing out everything a week for next year, maybe two weeks....or already planning for another greenhouse....stay tuned....
Mrs. Babba!! Thanks for the visit, I am practically blushing over here. I can't tell you what a pleasure it has been to lurk your threads the past few years. You guys are true examples of the finest in our community. Thank You!
Captain Bon. G. Loder -- Lots of different finishing times planned purposely....spread out over a month or so....Some stalks are massive at the base already. I'll get a pic when they get really freakish....
CBF--- Truly appreciated my friend. Glad to know you fellas had such a good time down south! We need to, well, you know.....!! Talk to ya soon...

Hey there everybody! Thought I'd drop in with a veggie and flower show real quick between "updates". I love ths time of year when all our hard work begins paying off. The Garlic harvest always kicks it off and we seem to scramble from then until freeze-up. We put up a quite a bit of food and truly depend on it! I'll drop another update in a few days, the girls are getting quite unruly....
Hope everybody is having a GREAT SUMMER!!!!!

Well folks, here they are 2.5 weeks since last update. Temps in the mid 90's means FAST growth. They are sucking down the tea like there's no tomorrow and have really surprised me. I'm already running out of room...
Pleas keep in mind I was on ladder to take most of these and the others have tight angles. I am running out of room to get the best pics so bear with me.
Have to get outta here and run a few town errands but here are the pics. More dialogue later this evening.
