I was born and raised at my grandparents farm too.North Spain.
My grandparent and my uncle grew tobacco there for years before I was born.I still remember "wild" Nicotiana plants growing there...survivors
.From what I know the crops were good quality.
This pic is almost 70 years old...my beloved mother to the left and one of her neighbour friends :)

I have the same type of pics from my grandparents, very similar clothes and faces, this could come from my family album.

Laotion Sticks !
The plot thickens ...

The leaf stogie you can have all for yourself . Yuck !

A buddy of mine was in Australian Air Force .
He talked about hash oil from Malaysia that was imported by Air Force guys .
plot doest thicken , Thailand was main shipping hub during war era , where most all service men went thru there on way to Vietnam , a lot of US base's in thailand , All SE asian countries had weed on Sticks , its been a part of there cooking tradition for 100's of years , "many" but not all of what we call Thai sticks were not grown in Thailand , It was Shipped mailed /smuggled but not necessarily grown in Thailand ..
Buddha Sticks were from Burma , Laotion Green was some of the best over there during war era

I hope no casualties on the earthquake
Reports gladly are not commenting on casualties, it seems the strongest earthquake felt in Thailand in a long time

This is from yesterday, very strong unsafe levels of smog in the North

This is from one of the dispensaries, there are many weed updates I will post after the earthquake reports, at the moment no casualties, I asked in Vientiane if everything ok there, no answers yet

And as I told Thai Bliss, we all need to thank Icmag for making this and other threads possible, it is the last stronghold of knowledge in this cannaworld
🙏 This emoji is the one I need for some posts
Thanks to everybody for posting and sharing knowledge, many things posted I never heard of like oven bags

Edit: everyone ok in Vientiane, it was felt as well, first casualties reports:

where did you get the story that Buddha sticks were from Burma?
last week, i asked my friend that was there and he said that Buddha sticks were just a lower grade. lower grade thai weed on a thicker stick that appeared after quality started dropping with so many shipments going out.
the first sticks were made with very thin sticks

yea i thought that term referred to those fatter looking "sticks" wrapped in cotton , often red , that were still available long after the original thai stick had disappeared ,
there are some pictures of them on this site from guys getting them in places like UK ...
I seem to recall those things being fashioned off some Indian product similar which i think they called elephant sticks , maybe buddah sticks ,
fatties like the ones i mentioned ..

Back in the day, what some called Thai sticks others called Thai or Buddha sticks or just Buddha all referred to the same thing regardless if it was a stick or not.

There was even a Thai line called Golden Buddha.

Chasing the Present
I don't do that because the way things are organized I don't have to keep the flowers for long periods, it's gone long before they have the time to lose some of their qualities;)
But I will soon buy the material to vacuum seal to store some for me for long term, I think I'll do that with the hash I do to help me keep it and not smoking it too fast.
Some of these LF Sativas gain quality in the Jar the first year, or two even as they continue to cure, just mho…Give it a try, pure Sativas really benefit from it

any things posted I never heard of like oven bags

I learnt about oven bags from Ed Rosenthal on his page at High Times 20 years ago .
Standard equipment for smuggling weed . Humans can`t smell the weed through an oven bag .
Dogs can , but a good 1st line of defence against detection . Oven bag wrapped in cling wrap to deaden the crinckle noise of the oven bag is a tech I heard from Dr Purpur years ago .

Very interesting .
Up until now the narrative was they came from Sakon Nakhon .
Show us your evidence please ?

i dunno ,
those laos sticks dont look anything like the thai sticks,
from reports ive heard , laos didnt compare to thai weed,

i think its correct many countries surrounding thailand had weed ,
not on sticks though or were they the same quality as thai sticks ...

I don't have enough room to grow this type of plants right now, I could before and maybe soon but right now I have not enough space to grow pure sativas. I have a New Caledonia from ACE hybrid who might get too tall for my tent if it keeps gaining height.
