Hello everybody
I’ve been growing indoors for about 20 years but mostly indica hybrids, so switching to outdoor tropical growing has been like starting all over, i have so much to learn and i have to give creds to you people growing high quality flower outdoors

This is my first thread in 8 years and i’m very exited about being back to growing again
I only had some very hidden small indoor grows and one outdoor grow with lowryder#2 which impressed me alot, i live pretty far north in my home country and it finished even after couple nights with below freesing temperatures, very hardy plants, but unfortunately i have no pics of this

So anyways now in thailand growing some landraces and collecting seeds from around the country, my goal is to breed with the good things i might find


My first go was with some local Thaistick
Planted in end of february
I mixed soil in some xl cement pots
The soil mix was bought compost soil, i mixed it with some sand from the river and local soil from my wifes food forest

This is how they looked in mars before i went to Norway for three months

Allready over the roof, but not flowering yet
I had to make a blackout plastic behind the white wall to stop light from the kitchen
They still didnt start to flower before august and very slowly so, except one hermaphrodite that finished in septemper during rainy season, it only had a few male flowers in the beginning and i picked them off before pollen spreading

It got very soaked in water and hot very pale and yellowi had to make raincover from the soilbags
It managed to finish and got harvested after some days with strong sun

Deff. by the looks it carries the thai structure. Did you get the chance to sample the bud from where you got the seeds from? How is the legalization going in Thailand? I have travlled all over Thailand, not so much in the south unfortunetley Such a lovely country.

Yes this is the ganja they’ve grown here for a loong time, my wife say they use this for tom yum soup aswell.
My mother in law got flower and seeds from local growers here
First time i got unpressed flower and it doesnt look like much, barely visible resin but damn the effect was strong headbuzz not a clearheaded high, the bud was a bit moist when i got it, but no visible mold

The legal situation here is still not clear, last thing i heard was that its illegal to sell flowers now, so a lot of changes. In bangkok in khaosan road they had stands everywhere and some shops also was starting to pop up
I went to pattaya couple months pre legalisation and found a ganja bar in walking street, they sold edibles and drinks i ate a brownie that was way to strong still very high the morning after

Oh yeah nice to travel here i love this country too and the food omg
South is very beautiful, i went to phuket 13 years ago, wonderful place scored some brickweed but it was not so good, very hard brick with lots of seeds

How many weeks in flower?

Well they started very slow, so it wasn’t too easey to define the start and can be longer then what i say
But the early flowering hermie around 13-14weeks
Took one at about 17weeks and the last one at over 20 weeks
Four plants i cut because they never finished with very sparse flower production

I’m very amazed by the «accidental» timing of my first thread,it got posted at 4.20 pm i was in my bed high as fuck not realising time even existed when i wrote it
I take it as a sign to that the timing is right now hehe

Back to my first pheno finishing, it had some bugs, white fly, leafworm and some unidentified stuff ? The amount of bugs in this climate is just wow!!!
However many tops was very great, and considering it was in the middle of rainy season, i’m very happy i got something nice to vape on at all

Had some days with sun and no rain before i cut it, that helped a lot with the oil and smell development
The smell on this strain is very fresh, fruity, piney and some sweetness to it, but nothing like the indica ripe smells i’m used to, only fresh and it reflects the effect aswell
In the beginning the effect was a bit uncomfortable up effect and stress inducing
This strain needs curing a lot, after a month it started getting more comfortable, uplifting, happy, energetic and creative thoughts

After smoking allmost the hole plant this first pheno has become my daytime favorite
If i feel down or lazy some vape from this lifts me up, puts a smile on my face and get me going to whatever i need to do, be it digging in the garden or a project that needs a creative mind
I even tried working out and it’s ok on a low dose

Curing in this climate is a bit tricky with the high humidity and temperatures, i realise i’ve been spoilt with that process in Norway with low temps and dry air in abundance
Here i found a way in my bedroom with an ac unit that dryes the air enough

Even burping the glass for a few minutes in the beginning of the cure is a problem when the humidity is high, it makes the bud too wet again and terps get lost, for me taste and smell is such a big part of the effect/experience

The last remains of the flower got a lill degraded so i added some ethanol oil to it and i got amazed how it bumped up the effect, very strong happy uplifting effect, the oil did not have the happy effect on its own only very high in brain effect, motivating in low doses
In high dose the oil even had painkilling effect, but ruined my ability to focus on tasks
The oil was made from the later finishing phenos

omg yes i most certainly do, i had some jilly bean, ak47 and sour diesel i bought in bangkok, but long gone by now.
It’s a diff experience only having a sativa menu for sure
Would be nice to have some pure indicas in the garden aswell

I dont know how the pics are looking for you, i am using my phone for everything, didnt bring my cam to Thailand, but will next time

So anyway the to last phenos had bigger flowers and i didnt see any male flowers
They were slower flowering and flowering through rainy season is no good, so many bugs and worms i only got a few branches for smoke/vape

The biggest plant got over 4 meters tall, but the top broke early in flowering because of a rainstorm

The effect was more relaxing but still very head high
On a cure they got more clearheaded effect
All flowers i got from this strain had a heady high
And i think the two last phenos was similar to the flower i got with the seeds
None of the flowers was likeable to me right after drying, they really need the curing
