I’ve got a Thai Chi from clone at 8weeks flower. Hard to photograph her because she’s a Very lanky one, at least 7ft with small but resinous Kali China looking flowers. I’ve got her bent into a S to try to fit, side branching weaved in reaching 2 plants over on both sides with very Large long drooping leaves. Smells and rubs are oily, complex and very exotic! I’m excited for this one!

It’s hard to be patient waiting for a harvest when all you have left is the stuff that didn’t wow you. I really need some new wow in my life. It’s a great support group here on the Ace forums, I enjoy reading and learning every day!

Hmmm, loving the jungle @tjmccoy
Two more weeks or so and harvest time for your Thai Chi?

Thanks Hasch! Yep thinking 2 weeks out for most of what I have going I think, will wait at least this long, pass me a towel while I drool for a few weeks! Hahaa

I think Thai Chi is wow indeed @tjmccoy
But not in your face kind of way. It´s more delicate and subtle. Like a spiritual volcano erupting in a mellow, kind universe.

Cool Description! Spiritual Volcano! Wow! Hahaa I think I will be able to relate to that and the potency thing, I’ve always enjoyed the DJ Short strains myself BMS/FLO/F13, and he was never really about shear in your face potency, but how it made you feel. When Dubi said it was his favorite because of how it made him feel and like “spiritual wind” I ordered! In fact it’s been a long time dream of mine to combine Ace and DJ. Been thinking Thai Chi might be the right Ace line for me and for this future project!

Nice looking plants as usual @Hasch

Some people with great taste for weed in this thread... I am also growing Thai Chi and Superlicious this year. I have one Thai Chi on the tail end of flower that is pollinated with a Bubba Kush x PCK male, and another I'm vegging for outdoors that I just rooted a couple clones of.

Thai Chi #1 is curing up, smoke report soon. Ended up with just under 10 oz of buds and enough Thai Chi x (Bubba Kush x PCK) seeds to explore as much as I want. Another stunner from ACE 💪

Next month I'll put TC #2 in the ground

Very nice, @early_hominid! Quite the roots! Funny enough, one of my Thai Chis looks very similar to yours. She tends to foxtail quite a bit, with a lot of purple on the leaves and eventually the flowers. What does yours smell like? Mine is very distinct from the other three I grew - aromatic wood with a bit of incense, with a fresh, high-pitched quality, without the low-end sweet or savory notes. Quite a bit similar to Honduras in its woodiness, but more refined. Not as strong as the others, much kinder and functional. I think she probably leans more Thai in aroma, effect, and flower structure, while inheriting the beautiful colors from Kali China. I pollinated a few branches with Thaifun Horizon pollen - hoping this is a good match to produce more interesting Thai expressions in the progeny. What are you going to look for in your cross to Bubba/PCK?

Current run from clone @ 75 days (still probably at least 3 weeks to go):

tc6-01.jpg

At the end of the first run, the flowers developed a pretty heavy purple/magenta tinge. Some of the foxtails were quite picture-worthy. It was a warmer grow, but she might also be quite sensitive to nitrogen in flower 🤢

Best of luck with the cure!

Dubi I have been waiting since the first year these were offered to run them. A friend has been growing out and taking clones of the Thai Chi. Some are being crossed to a SpaceQueen x Blueberry IBL. Also some Destroyer clones are being crossed to the same IBL.

I'm not exactly sure which ones I'm going to select. I get a close up look at the upcoming 420 party. I am trying to get the greenhouse ready for a longer flowering cycle of mid October . I added two 600watt HPS lights for more horsepower during the declining fall sun intensity. 🌞

I will have twelve 45 gallon grow bags double planted this season. I will post a few pictures here. If you want to follow the grow it will be in the new VIP SECTION ✨️ Growing Victory, Microbial Repositories.

Thank you @tjmccoy

Great looking plant @MrFancyPlants, our girls do look similar. The aroma is hard to describe on this one, its a mix of green tea powder, kali china fruit funk, with some herbal wood notes below still coming into focus. This is my first Thai hybrid and I don't smell much familiar in her besides the KC I grew previously. I'm flowering a cutting of my Thai Chi #2 and so far she is smelling pretty much identical in week 4.

The cross to the BK x PCK was more opportunistic than planned, I used pollen to knock up some Hashberry and Rishi Kush from Mandala Seeds and the Thai Chi was a week ahead in flower. There will be a lot of variability so I'm going to make room for some outside and hold no expectations, should be fun :dance013:

so this thai chi fem seed was from a more recent pack(2023) than my previous(2019?)...this plant had larger flower cluster and perhaps more the classic kali china smells...at one month the cure is starting to mellow the volatile aspect into a smooth oily quality still with a bit of peppery spice.... the greenness and cellulose are transforming and digesting so that the the flower will crumble evenly but is still moist enough for a slow burn ...when burned in paper the resins are copious...causing oily streaks along the paper...at this point the effect is potent, clear, and energetic..
it leaves the space with the lovely incense hanging in the air.
another month or so and i reckon flavors will be quite smooth

Thanks a lot for the feedback @StrongTree sounds like my type of effects and aromas, sure it 's getting better with 2 months of curing. Thai Chi recipe is the same since its release, never chaged, same pure Thai Chiang Mai pollinated by same Kali China 21-4 mother (reversed), enjoy! ;)

Thanks for summarize your Thai Chi grow in a single post @early_hominid :) Despite her long legs, I estimate her flowering time was relatively short to moderate, not as long, right? How would you describe the qualities of her effects? Please, keep us updated on your outdoor clone!

Here is my Thai Chi bonsai, getting close to harvest.
I lost the count of days, must be somewhere between F+65 and F+75.
She's in about 2L of soil.

This one seems more KaliChina dominant than the previous one I grew.
Which is fine in a way, as she smells much louder (earthy/melon/leather), and remained sexually stable despite the cold temps, the small pot, and a few tough dryouts.

I hope to find the same uplifting, smiley effect as the one I grew last year and loved so much.

Pollinated a small branch with some Jamaican Lambsbread pollen, as I had a male dropping.
Great job on the finish as well, @albertgriffiths! The plant appears to be predominantly Kali China in many aspects, much like Xr5K's. It's bound to be heavenly to smoke after another 1-2 months of curing, thanks for sharing your experience!

Oh I missed that buddy, hmm i try'd a lot more ACE strains! @orangina is just the biggest ACE influencer and my best grow buddy haha. A new ACE R+D Strain? You can bet orangina allready has done a order or allready got them home! :rasta:

To answer your question i liked Zenith more. Thats not because of Thai chi is bad weed but i like to have more active weed. Thai chi for me is just your lovely little helper and gives you a good feeling if you need it. But that isnt a daily driver for me.

If you ask me in general which strain i liked most from ACE gear , for now it was Purple Zamal X Panama, this stuff had this racy feeling for me give me an actual kick in the ass and much fun every time i vaped it. It is social (atleast for me because i like racy) and i couldnt stop talking, it was like...one hit from the vape, waiting 5min and blablblabla :ROFLMAO: very nice option for partys, hanging out with friends and having a good time. Very good strong long lasting high.

I think the Zamal ones are the good ones. Zamal Bliss was crazy low in terms of high but if you vape enough like 1 gramm or something the high was really nice and interesting. Very social felt a bit like if you would have take a little bit of coke or something in that direction. Very clear and interesting.

But also Golden Tiger x Panama was really decent, 4 hours of straight psychedelic experience for me! Not like modern hybrids you want to smoke more after 1 hour. This stuff was like a good hit and lasting for atleast 4 hours, user with less experience even longer I would say.

Killer A5 Haze also was nice and quite strong, i tryd a a5 haze type pheno and it really got that strong potent kick i expected, but the come down always was a very hard touchdown and landing. I assume its the NL in there or could it be in part of the Killer Malawi?

Thanks a lot for sharing insights into so many different ACE sativa and sativa-dominant strains :smoke: @Uludag

You're spot on about Thai Chi's balanced, meditative effect, making it more suitable for late afternoons than as a morning booster. Zenith offers a broader spectrum of effects and terpenes compared to Thai Chi. Its early-flowering, lemony phenos are perfect for morning productivity, while the late-flowering, perfumy incensey ones are better suited for the afternoon, just before Thai Chi.

When it comes to Purple Zamal, crossing it with other potent sativas results in some trippy hybrids. For instance, Zamal Bliss, crossed with Nepal Jam, yielded a balanced, kind strain with moderate potency. However, crossing Purple Zamal with Malawi, Panama, or A5 Haze produces seriously scary offspring!
I'm glad you also enjoyed Golden Tiger x Panama; it's definitely another standout sativa!

Superb @MrFancyPlants  truly exciting looking flowers, foxtail porn hehehehe reminds me of DJ Short's Blueberry sativa! Given that the Thai mother of this hybrid is woody and lemony without the incense, it's likely that (beside the colors and resins) there's still a significant influence from Kali China in the terpene profile of this female. Is she still roking on ?
