TGA Genetics- Concerning Potency...

Jeez, somtimes I think some of you wouldn't know a potent strain if you hit it with your face...lol

Subs Jesus OG is officially the 15th most potent in the world!
Hitting an astonishing 23.69% THC! Ranked by HT and the canna cups.

Clearly these #'s are a result of expertly grown and handled cannabis. But it clearly demonstrates that at lead one of subs two fav male breeders in the Jack the Ripper, has tons of potency.

We're discussing potency in this thread though, so the comparisons actually have a point. Most people's experiences with TGA show low end potency, most with WiFi show high end, hence the example.

I've known people who grew out his white s1 and it was shit. I agree it is on the lower end potency wise, but I was just speaking about the positives.

can't say I have ever gotten stoned off TGA genetics

it's like this cut of White Super Skunk, looks unreal, tests at 16%

there isn't really a head or body change, almost just a bland feeling

I am sure this has been said, but the best BHO comes from TGA gear. Really flavorful, and when a concentrate it's plenty strong.

sorry, it does not

the best anything does not come from TGA genetics

and how you make your extracts has 100% to do with how your terpenes come out, the strain can help a bit, but without proper extraction terpenes are completely lost

I don't have enough posts to edit yet, so I had to post again.

I assumed the extraction process was done correctly. When done correctly, TGA strains produce great flavors. This was my point. Have a great day

Ps. Sub does not fem anything!
So he does not offer a - "S1 of the white" so whatever that was don't blame TGA.

Do your research.

I'll chime in again; potency is not the only desireable characteristic of marijuana. Many smokers look for herb with other unique traits i.e. smell, appearance, and taste. And as a grower i look for strains that yield well and finish quickly.. many TGA strains satisfy all these requirements.

If you are a heavy weed smoker then most TGA flowers aren't gonna pack the punch you need, but that's what BHO is for. Most people are not heavy smokers though, and will get nice and stoned from almost any well-grown herb.

This is a subject that's been brought up
in my circles pertaining to subcool gear,
more flavor than potency; though we've
agreed that Querkle is probably the most
potent of TGA's library. I've tried a few of
their other strains, Ripped Bubba and Qush
come to mind as my first realization of why
people dislike subcool gear, as my only prior
experience was of this kickass Querkle cut
that's been in this area held in our circle for
years. Definitely flavor over potency, but
Querkle is better than subcool's others and
the fruity flavor has passed through to what
I've pollinated it with so far; someone came by
with dry meds from another Querkle cut that
was an Urkle dom pheno, way different, lots
of variation with those polyhybrid crosses...
if you're not satisfied keep looking for it or
use a subcool specimen as a breeding tool
because that fruity skunk funk has passed
onto all of it's offspring so far, it's pretty
good in my opinion to have a strain with
excelling taste and smell as it's main trait
as other breeders have concentrated like
Black Rose being color over function and
flavor... just my two cents I love Querkle
but was kind of pissed off growing others.

Choom, I thought for a sec that you were writing a poem for us. I'd run a pack of querkle is the urkle was dominant in the cross. It seems like the space queen he uses dominates everything. Seeing the same thing with Tom Hill's deep chunk, which is also over hyped imo.

Yeah, no thanks. Subcool is the type of guy you'd see in an episode of trailer park boys. Blowing bong rips in the camera and head banging to classic rock. He's a character, I'll give him that.

@Cep: Lmao, my whimsical prose of pot :D
That male does seem to dominate all of
them, like the Qush kind of had the same
funk, though very watered down. There's
another few pinches of flavors in there but
also have the same kind of watered down
taste.. I'd like to work with subcool's SQ,
and or trying an elite cut of Space Queen.
Subcool in my opinion has his own right
idea, but there's so much redundancy in
the quantities of the varieties they have
(imo). I remember watching some canna-expo
talk with him, the Mrs., DJ Short and others;
and him and the Mrs. were brainstorming
their library when asked the number of
offerings they say something like "Yeah, 74 or so :)".

In my nobody opinion, staples like Querkle
would get a lot more limelight if TGA focused
more on the numbers they already have instead
of pushing to create more, which aren't all that
different from what else I've tried (Qush as I
said earlier had kind of the same flavor though
watered the fuck down, and weak function;
Jack the Ripper smelled like hay and shame).
Querkle is a winner in my garden and knocks
most down, especially noobs, I don't care who
you are I fucking love Querkle but I can't say
the same for the rest of TGA's library I've come
across.. something similar I can think of is this
fucking KILLER Dj Short's Blueberry cut my mentor
has had for years, I've seen only negative of Dj's
work; pertaining to grow journals germ reports m/f
ratios complaints of stock price etc etc etc etc
but this cut I wouldn't want to go without.......

Subcool and his Querkle get their Sunnyvale
grade 10 on my end, I seriously with utmost
understanding get why people hate Subcool
gear, but next Cannabis Cup in Seattle I'll
have packed multiple bowls in my choomstick
of Querkle, Blueberry, and many of my own
varieties at the time to show anyone curious
what I mean and where I come from. Cheers!
If you see a man with a pink knit cap passing
out fat snaps on the sidelines come say high!

if HT says its true then it is.

That dj blueberry cut choom sounds like the one I have been chasing down since I got back into growing again.

I had the cut about 10+ years ago and lost it when my greedy friend that we were running a Garden together started to think he was Pablo Escobar and selling that white devil shit. Needless to say he heated the spot up and I lost my cuts that I had. It was a blueberry that looked very sativa in appearance but finished in a indica timeframe and smelled to high hell of blueberrys.

Now on the tga note I have smoked Chernobyl very bland taste high was nothing special lines are not worked at all with phenos all over the place. The best plant my friend found wasn't keeper worthy. It's also funny cause at the time I was running female seeds c99 and I found the pineapple pheno out of a 30 dollar pack of seeds and it was way better than my friends 100 dollar pack of Chernobyl seeds.

My opinion on subcools gear is it's way overpriced for the quality you get and pheno variation. I mean anyone of us could have elites chuck some pollen and do what he does. Just my opinion and maybe if his beans were like 50 bucks for a ten pack that would be a lot more reasonable for his gear. But hey to each there own.

From my personal experiences, the least potent I've had was Dairy Queen. Got rid of it. The least potent one that I keep around is CheeseQuake, best smelling plant, period! It has a 'medium' high, good to smoke when driving.

Most potent would be my Ripped Bubba and JTR. Without question the strongest pot I've smoked. But hey, that's me. I think maybe people are a little too quick to bash Sub. He's very honest and tells it like it is and I hope he never changes that part of his personality.

The pics are of RB and two different pheno types of Vortex.

The reason most of TGA's gear is Subpar isn't because of the lack of quality female plants he uses in his one off hybrids...plenty of cats idolize Sub and bring him quality cuts from all over...his problems stem from a complete lack of selection in the male department...I don't think he's ever selected a male from more than a ten pack of some other breeders seeds...and he uses the same two or three males to pollenate everything he has...he just doesn't realize his lack of vision is clouding his own future. :/
