TGA Genetics- Concerning Potency...

I've been an appreciator of TGA strains for 10 years.

Of the many strains in my stash vault, I have to give credit to TGA for Jillybean.

It's not the most potent but it gets my head where I like it to be and the "low" potency enables me to enjoy more of the deliciousness in a session without overdoing it.

I have some crazy potent buds in the same vault and they are for friends and family only because I'm not fond of getting and staying super intoxicated for too long. Too many other things on the go.

^Agreed that's why my headband is a fav. The deathstar makes you sweat and hide from the outside world, one hit of the headband and you forgot you were smoking, but in like a laugh at nothing fall asleep with food in your mouth kind of high that's better for my panic attacks than xanax. So u can have potency of bud without potency of effect, there's like 1% less thc in my headband than deathstar

I threw away my plushberry for total lack of buzz and tasting like cherry robutisson, but when I made bho it tasted more cherry less tusson but I'd pull like three gs an ounce, which is pathetic when you consider that my headband blasts eight every time, deathstar makes ten gs an ounce, and my mota rebel gear almost yielded more bho off a quarter than an ounce of plush blasted

Feel free to, I've tested her at 26% with iron labs, haven't got a terp profile yet but I'm sure it will come back very high. It was budder tho, not my usual shatter. Still, silent off the nail, so I'm gonna assume there's no residuals.

Keep in mind, besides my hb, most of my moms blast five gs an ounce. I'm not claiming to get a half I wax off an ounce of any strain I grow, the deathstar is remarkable, not hat I can take credit, that's due to the wonderful folks in ohio where she's from

I've grown pre-96 sensi star, it was so white I thought it was pm till I scoped it, and we all now legit ecsd is too notch as far as potency, so why is a large concentrate yield under suspect when it's from an elite clone only?

Because ive never personally seen it happen with myself or any of my friends. I have friends in the extract community who are the damn godfathers of the game and if you are pulling 10g a zip with your material, im sure they would love to work with it. the highest ive ever personally seen, and it was off a Wifi43xFaceOFF cross that is on lockdown out here in LA, and it was 8g. I can consistently pull 7-7.5 off of top notch material, full nug run. Highest ive ever acheived personally on a trim run was 5g.

Makes sense to pull 10 with a Budder/NonDewaxed/Wax consistency as there are still copious ammounts of fats/waxes/lipids in the extraction itself. I was under the impression that you were pulling 10g all said and done on dewaxed shatter. Its somewhat the baseline these days. everyone is going closed loop dewaxed and vacced. So after reading your posts i can dig what youre saying. And DeathStar is a great strain. love it personally.

I don't dewax sometimes because it preserves terpenes and terpenoids, getting thc to crystallize in a clean lattice formation IMO I not worth destroying or even reducing terpenes, as the entourage effect is legit. My headband blasts 8 of shatter, it's the underdawg og, but it loses the wrap around calm feeling dewaxed and gets racey, the deathstar is racy either way, the cherry varnish smell just comes through a lot better on crumbles. It was dry crumbles that I pulled over 10gs of, not waxy or runny, very dry and lightly textured.

I'm not the best grower on earth, don't claim to be, but you ARE contender for worlds biggest dickhead. Buddy just dropped about five different phenos of the flav. One in particular smells fruity, caked with resin heads, excellent tight bud structure, a zip a gallon of soil...it's an incredible plant. It is a session flower. It doesn't have knockout power but I don't always want to be knocked on my ass. Like someone said in an earlier post, we grow different strains to have different stones. I don't ONLY drink moonshine, I like red and white one, IPAs stouts and heffes.

^this is why cbn and cbd are important, you can have a strain with tons of resin that yield lots of hash but don't overwhelm.

The a2 genetics project has something similar, kings kush (chem4 x GDP) can't even tell the chems in there, for whatever reason the purple genes seem to be more dominant than the chem family. IMHO that seems like it would be just another purp strain, watered down and all about bag appeal
