Tennessee Hogsbreath Clone

And Sub... IMO, the BHT.... Absolutely Looks like it has some Kush in the genetics somewhere....But who knows... shit man... I know I'd rock that cut If i had it.. Looks really nice IMO.... Kinda Bubba-esque looking...but even better looking really...

I was just trying to find any info i could this afternoon.. And Not that this means anything at all.. But a quote from Adam at ThSeeds, said The "Hogsbreath" he used in The Hog was a clone from Tennessee, that made its way to SoCal...So Maybe there is a Tenn. Hogsbreath and a SOCal Hogsbreath that originated in San Diego... I wouldn't be suprised at all... I dont know, and I dont want to make this any more confusing than it already is.... Im pretty baked right now, So maybe Im thinking too far into this....

I should have added this info in one of the post above, but The Hogsbreath I have, Is a Pretty slow vegger... I always assumed it was from the age of the cut... The first time I heard about the "Tenn. Hogsbreath" was in the early to mid 90's..And I thought then it was already and old cut... And while I wasn't living in Tennesee in the early 90's..., I was living on The East Coast back then... For what that is worth...

And as far as Green Crack.... Not a Chance...

If I HAD to guess which Genetics make up Tenn. Hogsbreath.. I would probably say some old Afghani or Afghan/Skunk hybrid...Afghan Dominated...But Ofcourse.. That is Just a guess... But Afghani would be a good start I think..

Hey CannaVenture, truly thank you for putting up those pics of your cut. Almost time for me to go check on the young HBs I have going. Thanks again for making these crosses and putting em out so people like me who are after rare strains like that have a chance at em. Hope to talk to you soon and take care 1

Hey subrob, feel free to post i'd still like to hear about the other Hogsbreath cuts I was just saying my main focus was on the Tenn. cut. Your BHT cut looks nice and beefy, you said you kinda always thought it was crossed with a Master Kush can you explain I little why you thought that about that cut?

Hey TonyGreenHand, man if that Tenn cut that CV has was the same you had then I hope you can get it back someday because that is 1 sick looking lady. Hopefully 1 day I can land it myself in the next few years but til then i'm sure these CVS HB hybrids will keep me busy. Can't wait for bxs with the Garlic Breath.

Hey Swampwater, a garlic male would be the perfect partner you say well thats what CV was doing when he paired the Hogsbreath with his Chem D Bx2 Garlic male (Chem G male) to make the Garlic Breath. These things should be some beasta, can't wait for the grows (including mine) to finish up to see how well they matched up, but i'm gonna say early I think it's gonna be a big hit ;).

Hey humbleguy, I do think that better records need to be keep in the canna-community even if it is a little more troublesome. Most of us take a big risk by growing anyway might as well do it all the way and not half-ass. Your cut looks nice also.

Hey CannaVenture, hopefully we can still learn a little more about this Tenn. cut that you have and the various others HB cuts in this thread. Thanks again for putting the pics up and heres to next drop to being even better than the last. I heard ya'll are making plenty of Garlic Breath this time as well as a some other nice hybrids. GL with those and ya'll take care 1

Kant-just saw the question about why i thoight it was an mk cross...the taste...its not pure masterkush to me...but i can def taste it in there..that is what caught my attn when i read that tenn hogs is a hindu kush cross..with afghani? I believe? I dont remember which was female or male..did someone mention it here in the thread?

Hey subrob, I don't think you are being lippy I think you are giving a honest opinion of the HB cut that are able to work with. As i've said before i've always liked your posts and value the info. you put out there. I think I did mention earlier in the thread that I read somewhere that it was a Hindu Kush/Afghani cross (not sure which was the male or female or if this is indeed the true lineage) but even CV says based upon his experience with the Tenn. cut that it definately has Afghani in it. The taste you say well i'll definately take your word for it (umm wish I could taste it right about now, i'm smoking male leaves to judge potency a little more on a few strains and catch a tiny buzz if at all possible lol, i'm out currently and won't spend any more $ on bud until after this CVS drop where i'm shooting to get some more Garlic Breath). The HB hybrids are amazing me (smell, vigor, structure) and i'm not even finished with my grow yet so I know I will be blown away by the pure or a purer form of the the Tenn. Hogsbreath cut. Already I can tell this GB strain is going to be some dank but when CV gets to the final stage of the HB project (hopefully the IBL) its gonna be seriously epic! I can hardly wait. Thanks for posting pics of your clones up, feel free to stop in and update us on their progress. I'll be looking forward to seeing how they do this time around for you.

I'll say it again people don't sleep on or miss out on the Garlic Breath that CVS is dropping, its has been impressive so far and it stinks oh so good and this is still in early flower imagine the end result its gonna be some rank stank dank ;). Ya'll take care 1

Hey everyone, its been a minute since I checked on this thread and thought i'd stop by real quick. I ended up with 4 Aliens Breath females and 1 Garlic Breath female after a list full of problems that came up over this grow. I have about 5 weeks left and the plants are looking real good and smell funky which is great. They are vigourous and have excellent structure to boot. Here's a quick pic of 2 of the AB females (different phenos) from a little while back. Hope ya'll enjoy. Take care 1

P.S. If anyone is interested in the Garlic Breath there is a CVS drop getting ready to happen soon on the Bay and they will have the GB in stock. There will also be a wide variety of other strains and hybrids from them including GSC, Trainwreck Bx2, Alaskan ThunderFuck, LA Affie, Afghan Bullrider, Diesel Fire, ELL, Lavender, Blackberry Kush, and many more check it out.

not that i know anything or facts but im almost positive the san diego hawgsbreath and tennessee hawgsbreath are the same cut. dont even know why anyone would think different.

i would imagine some guy from tennessee brought the cut to san diego where it got popular and passed around and called it tennessee hawgsbreath cuz thats where he was from and where he made it.

but i highly doubt its a common strain in tennessee.. it prolly was not passed around there cuz its prolly not much of a grow scene there. but san diego is where it got passed around.

doesnt this make sense? so even though tenn. is part of the name and that might be where it was created, it became famous in san diego, thats just about a sure thing.

if we can get one person from tennessee to come in here and say otherwise i would change my mind.

either way i would love to have a cut. wish it was still around.. just came up on the bullrider cut after losing it a few years back and im thrilled about having it. wish i could get this one too.

Hey subrob, man that bht hb is looking like a monster bush! Great job on it, can't wait to see you finish them up. Whats the smell like on the bht cut so far? How long you gonna run em this go round? Please stop back by and let us know how they are doing.

Hey slausongardens, you ain't the only one who wants a Tenn. HB cut :). One day though maybe I may get lucky and you also lets only hope so at least. For now i'm good with the CVS HB hybrids I got as they gave me plants that resemble the Tenn. cut heavily. If you can't get the cut soon you might want to check em out, heard the Bxs and maybe S1s are coming also. Are you talking about the real sativa Bullrider not the Afghani Bullrider right? If so then thats an awesome score on a cut heard its super rare.

Hey Weird Jimmy, and there she is and looking lovely so early on, great job so far. Definately as she matures snag a few pics for me at various flowering stages if you can, much appreciated. Whats the current smell on that girl?

Here's a quick pic of 1 of my Alien Breaths plant #4 from my thread near harvest. Hope ya'll like and take care 1

That's an older pic, and I don't have any more of that particular plant... I have one that's about two weeks in flower right now that'll start posting some pics of tonight, and I'll update them once

The smell is always the same, but I really can't describe it. It's so strong though, and translates perfectly to taste... The resin is also the oiliest, greasiest resin I've ever dealt with. There's almost no "stickiness" to it because it's so oily. It's easily the best plant in my garden.

Hey Weird Jimmy, thank you in advance for the upcoming pics. I really do know what you mean with the greasy resin, looks like my fingers were rubbed with oil after handling the buds or if I break some up. The smell on my Alien Breaths are not intense at all and range from fruity funk to playdough (this was a 1st, never encountered a smell like that coming from some bud its mainly the wide leaf phenos). Plant #1 has the fruity funk with a playdough background where plant #3 (the other wide leaf pheno) has a main playdough smell and is the frostiest of the 4 Alien Breaths. The skinny leaf phenos have a more complex smell but the main theme is funky fruit. They stink a little don't get me wrong but they don't reek like I was expecting them to in the jars but I still have more of the genepool to explore so i'll be on the lookout for a reeker next time.

Thats the only reason I was asking about the smell a little more was to help narrow down which of these smell like the Tenn. cut the most. Glad to hear its the best plant in your garden, as I know you've had some good ones. Its also staying in my garden forever at least a form of the Hogsbreath is, til I land the cut. Garlic Breath is really the HB hybrid i'll be exploring the most in the mean time but the others will be enjoyed as well. Looking forward to your updates and thank you again. Take care 1

The smell is super unique; it's not really fruity, but it almost has the smell of an over-ripe fruit verging on rotting, with a thickness that I describe as "buttery". The closest thing I've ever smelled to it is a Belka (Alphakronic) plant that a friend of mine has, but even that has more of a "dog poop" funk and doesn't have the same Hogsbreath "tang" to it.

I've got some sour bubble bx2 male pollen in my freezer, and I'm working on finding a Chem D bx3 male right now. Both will be used to dust a few Hogsbreath cuts in the next couple months, and the seeds will be sent in to the server auction. The Chem D cross will be used to do a (very amateur) Hogsbreath IBL. Keep an eye out for those if you're still trying to find a kill pheno.

Hey Weird Jimmy, thanks again for trying to nail the smell for me. CV was saying it was unique and was a hard one to describe but he said it was more of a natural smell where the chem had an industrial smell to it kinda. I like the smell of em (all of em even the playdough lol) so i'm sure i'd love the Tenn. cut as well.

I was going to breed my Garlic Breath male to my Sour Bubble Bx2/3 but decided to wait off on that for now. Glad to hear you are doing some breedings and 1 would have been kinda similar. I have no problems supporting the local people round here and i'm definately after as much Hogsbreath I can get til I get a cut or the IBL i've been after hint hint somebody ;) (just kidding but you know already). Just ask CV i'm Hogsbreath crazy lol. Definately let me know when you do the breedings and send that in, i'd love to have some more HB hybrids :). GL with you projects and take care 1

Yeah I saw that CV sort of beat me to the punch with the Garlic Breath. But the goal with my cross will be to "IBL" the clone as best I can, and not necessarily to make a hog/chem cross (as delicious as that sounds). And I'm only planning on using the Chem D male because what a great plant to start with; love that shit! ... You can be the first official dude on the tester list if you're interested. I'll probably only have 2 or 3 testers at the most.

The Sour Bubble cross might not even happen. I think I'm actually leaning towards using that pollen on my Cheesedog cut. It's such a killer herb (2nd nicest plant to the Hogsbreath), but the plant itself is the lankiest fucker. It'd be awesome to capture the Cheesedog smell and taste (my wifes personal favorite) and pair it with the Sour Bubble grow structure.
