Epsom salts might be a better option than cal mag as you might not need the Cal

Here's what I have going on this year....didn't do a thread this year because of internet snipers. Shit just went into flower,in hard mode at that. I'm standing on a 5 gal. pail, and the dude taking the pics is on the top of a 6' step ladder.........so for those who don't know....the plants are about 7'-8' tall and a couple are about 9'.

Ha ha!! I have 2 6'x25' trellis's already on a lot of them.....hence the nice even canopy!! Earlier today a was re-arranging tops and bending them into the net. Tomorrow rain or shine I'm putting up the last of the trellis's. I have a 6'x50' trellis and a couple 6'x5's to finish things up. Thanks for the compliments guy's!!! This is a guerilla grow, but as usual with me I baby the shit out of it....I get up between 5:30 and 6 everyday to take care of it. Usually spend 2-3 hrs. a day taking care of it.

Hey bro hows it going haven't see any updates lately.

I have some KO Kush getting close first week of Sept. for a bunch of it. I'm glad because this has been a cool summer and fall looks to be coming fast.

Shit I remember in the late 90's around 1998 I cant remember exactly but we had frost, not a killing, but burning frost Sept 17th.

This season looks like a early frost for sure but always comes down to what if any cover your plants have and more importantly how hard a frost. Tree canopy over your plants means nodda if you get a heavy frost.

Some of the light frosts I have seen never reach over a 12 - 18 inches off the ground. Big MJ plants can laugh that off its the 4 feet off the ground frost that's a killer.

So all is well everyone, I've been MIA for a bit but I hit the patch yesterday with my camera so I've got some updated shots of what's going on -



Alike last year, I got another late start (July) because I never made time for the soil to cook completely... which resulted in a slight burn right off the bat but everything has adjusted since then. This year was an experiment using organics outside for the first time, and I"ve learned a lot already. I'm going to start prepping plots for next year this month with piles of leaves and sticks to compost down over the new holes I dig, that way I can get roots in the ground by the end of May instead of July! Preparation is everything in organic growing, that is something I truly underestimated. Lesson learned... but all is well my girls are looking healthy and I've ruled out the swamp patch due to lingering fog after rain storms... have had some patches of PM already so flowering should be interesting. However, the girls I planted in my upland location are THRIVING and it's clear that this location triumphs the wet anaerobic swamplands. I could see growing using synthetics in the swamp but microorganisms need air to live and there isn't much of that in the swamp. I may invest my entire crop in the upland location next year, because the girls I transplanted in late July are already as big as the swamp crops. Enough talking though - you can see for yourself:

This entire hillside is covered in healthy native plants, the soil is clearly in great shape and with this bed placed at the bottom of the hill it provides rich nutrient/mineral run-off that these girls enjoy.

No pest problems or problems of any kind for that matter in this patch, all I did for IPM was spray a BT foliar spray a few weeks back

I upped the organic matter in this soil mix to cut down on waterings, it worked well but we haven't seen rain in 2 weeks so I had to make a trip to water recently. The 6 gal jugs make it easy to carry these the 1/4 mile hike back to the patch. Good work out but I'll be setting up a rain catching tarp with a 55 gal drum and a battery-operated timer next season.


So far nothing concerning on the game cameras, which is a good sign! Lots of deer roam the area though... but they can't access any of my plants due to either high swamp waters or thick brush leading to the upland patch. Bambi shot her close ups this week lol:
