Thanks TM. Feet up and watching the show. That's hard work hauling ...
Those tubes look good and got me thinking again about an abandoned site of mine.
Your duct tape must be stronger than my duct tape ... You get to reuse it too?
This seems to be the only guerilla thread going atm and a good one at that.... all these med grows are putting me to shame I wish I had half the resources they have.... I'm making due and hopefully will have something to show for it but I wanted to thank you for keeping the guerilla spirit alive
What up bro .... I posted yesterday but it didn't go through apparently so I'll make this one quick
I don't see the safety of my plants stems as a point to go cheap....I do a basic 2' cage of chicken wire with bramble wrapping the base of the cage. The bird netting is so I can weave the plants branches in to help with wind/weather to keep em together and helps counter balance heavy colas from flopping too much
No need to sift it...if clover is growing you should be fine to mix but just remember its easier to add more later than take some out later so I'd still mix it ½ and top dress a bit in July.
Organics brotha.... you don't flush. That's an indoor chemical fert mentality.....you would be doing your soil and the microbes a disservice by flushing. Organics are amazing for many reasons.....pure water grows are capable, no flush, better flavor and aromas, organics work with the soil and plant to make them healthy and even fight off pests and disease and its how nature intended.
Swamp tubes look to be awesome....I'd leave a little room at the top to top dress and add a little extra at end of season for next year.
My plots have the same access as you, 30km down a railway . Perfect spot completely surrounded by cliffs, blackberry ,sting nettle a spring but goats are a major issue so i have to fence everything , a 30km each way bike ride carrying about 50kg of wire plus everything including soil because my plots sit on hard clay did not sound appealing so ive built a railbike with a platform and a 20hp lawnmower engine and a go kart torque converter cost me $150. First trip will be about 35 bags of 40ltr soil and it does aprox 60kph empty
I would love to be walking the tracks, smoking a fatty, and here you come on a DIY railbike system with a platform with bags of soil and ammendments. LOFL!
"HotDamn! Its the Soggy Bottom Boyz!"
"I HAVE...NO NAME."
Oh yeah, and I grabbed a fuckin sweet machete. Gotta show it off before I sign off, she's got a hacking blade that I'm dying to try out on some small trees lol
very nice camo paint job bro! it seem's you are well prepared for this season. Godspeed!
pretty cool to see another machete disciple, every serious guerillia grower needs one
your's look like serious quality, was it very expensive?
Rugged location so far down the tracks! What do you do if a trains coming? Dump the bale and just chill or do you duck out of sight as well?
Yes machetes are vitally important...paid about the same for my Gerber 20" with saw blades on back side ....works fast too!
I gotcha with the leeching.....no remedy for me...I just figure it'll leech to the ground and the canna roots will find it....it could have been the guano....it seems to affect plants flavor depending how well its broken down in the soil. Manure is where its at....nothing better than some ganja grown in a pile of cow shit.
I usually keep 2 machete's, a saw for small branches, a mini-axe, and a full size axe in my trunk at all times. I always cut tree's into a point so it looks like beavers did it. Cow shit is good, imho I think it brings a more skunky flavor to the pot. I like to broadcast osmocote like rice at a wedding. That way it's not to strong at any given spot, and it helps the surrounding vegetation grow in, which helps to cover/cut down on trails around the plants. Sorry just rambling here......first hits of the day was a bowl of white lemon with exodus kush bho on it.
Dug a hole the day before yesterday that holds a 30 gal. tote with some room to spare. Gonna be dropping a single green crack into it. Took down some small cedars that were in the way. So now the tote will get sunlight from 7 am until about 5 pm, should make for a nice plant. Had one there a couple years ago that gave me 1 1/2 pounds, shooting for 2 or more from this years plant. Just finishing up putting everything into it's final home these next few days. Shit is looking proper already.
Anybody ever grow cannatonic outside? I have like 6 of em' already out, wondering how long they take to finish? Found a true guerilla strain in some Greenhouse seeds. Lemon skunk to be exact. Just likes plain water with no food, and really does well letting it dry out in between waterings. Just like the fucking ronco, set it and forget it. Well enough for now, it's off to the races. Raining out, so it's a perfect time to be out in the woods/swamp. Nobody wants to be out in the rain, except for me, I love it!!!!
@teammicrobe- For my holes I dig big enough for whatever container I'm using. Then the tote/pail goes in the hole with a 50/50 mix of happy frog and promix bx/sunshine#4. In the swamp if I hit the water table while digging or if the hole fills in after I dig, I put some sticks either facing up or across the hole. This is so that the container doesn't sit directly in water. I have 1 1/2 inch holes In the bottoms of the containers with 1 inch holes around the sides about an inch up from the bottom. By doing this, If for some reason I can't go for a few days, the roots will go thru the holes and search that water out. Because most of the roots are not directly in water and only a few. It makes it so the plant doesn't drown.
I tie my plants down big time. I start tying them down the first day they are in their final container. Then every single time I visit them from then on, I re-adjust previous lst's , and tie down new upward growth. I try and make my plants as wide as possible. I'm pretty sure this is part of the reason for my increased yields. If it's a first year in a spot I try and go at different times of the day for the first few weeks. Then any trees that get in the suns way are chopped down, or if they are too big I limb the shit out of them. I usually try and put everything as south facing as I can so they get maximum exposure. Wally world has compasses for like $5. I always try to keep one in my "work" bookbag.
I would say that container size ,lots of sunlight, and lots of water, are the reason I can pull lber's and better. It also helps if you can visit them everyday or every other day. I was going thru like 100-150 gals of water every other day last year. Plus I super cropped every single plant multiple times. Then I clocked in just over 8 hrs. crawling on my hands and knees cleaning the bottoms of every single plant. For anybody new reading this thread, my thread from last year was called "guerilla in the swamp '13' , check it out!!
That's all I can type for now. Gotta leave to go to "work'. Today's the day, I put a green crack in one of my spray painted camo 30 gal totes. Plus I have lots of lst'ing to do. Any more questions are welcome If I missed anything.
Hell yeah... I love guerilla style grow"n... Been do'n it since I was jr n high school n '96, and will do it until I die... My purpose and my passion is with Mary-Jane, my first and only true love... I have learned a lot from I.C. (thank u Gypsy and Staff and all my fellow growers) I enjoy reading ur experiences Team Microbe, u remind me of myself when I started... So if u don't mind imma pull me up a set down over here n the blue grass, blaze one up, and watch the show... Looks like it's gonna b a pretty good one... Take it easy... -F.S
