They don't seem to have the diffuser chamber...

Found the company info easy with a Google search of the name he gives in the vid.

I hope they didn't steal your design intentionally.

How much are they going to have to pay you?

Ask my lawyer

I've read much of this thread and just wanted to say thanks for sharing the all info.

I decided to build one out of a 20 gallon brute trash can I bought at Home Depot, and after some reading on pumps others were using I went with the Alita brand air pump.

I didn't use the measurements, and every connection, but I used most of the design.

Here is a video of it running, not brewing tea yet, just aerating the water overnight to help dechlorinate it. Then tomorrow I will start a worm compost tea.

A microscope and D.O meter would be nice to have but expensive since it's just a legal grow for myself.

Thanks for the link to the plans Stoner Bob, I made mine out of a 20 gal roughneck but my diffuser needs improvement. Looks like that one will be much better than my ghetto design.

You're welcome. I found that link reading in these forums.

Here it what it looks like without water in it to give you an idea of the fittings. I only glued one connection and that was the one I threaded the barbed fitting to for the air line. The rest of the connections I left unglued for disassembly and cleaning ease. I also drilled a dozen 1/16" holes in the center pipe that will blow air from the center of the compost bag outward. I also added a t-connection (not in pic) about 2/3 the way doen the center pipe for something to tie the bag to and prevent it from slipping down that pipe during brew.

It took a few tries before I got the right size for each leg of the octagon, to get it sitting the way I wanted on the bottom of the can

I started my first tea today and here is a shot of it after about 8 hours. 3lbs of worm compost ( about 7 cups) 7 tablespoons black strap molasses unsulphured, and 5 tablespoons of Kelp Meal. The meal and molasses I put directly in with the water

I was wondering when someone was going to use my design to make a commercial product.

This pisses me off if he intentionally took your design. MM check your email. I wanna get me the REAL bioreactor. Best of luck on getting your fair share, you definitely deserve it.

That being said, it's another (same one really) perfect example of how pointless the extra 2-3 curving riser pipes in the traditional vortex brewer are. pretty much there just for show. However his 15 gallon units not even 10% cheaper than the vortex brewer 15 gallon, and that's the 'introductory sale' price, they're gonna get even more expensive.

*Edit*
And another brewer that seems to be essentially Microbeman's design:

Has anybody made AACT's with a product called Pure Protein? Here is the link, http://organicagproducts.com/products/pure-protein-dry

The reason I ask is because I love the stats on this product, with all the amino acids. Here is a copy and past from the link:

Most complete organic fertilizer, fulfills 70-80% of plant nutritional needs
Highest amino acid profile, 80% L-amino acids, will not burn leaves or roots
PH Perfect, 15-1-1, high in macro- and micro-nutrients, high in enzymes
Completely water-soluble and non-toxic to surrounding environment
Rapid results, cost-effective, easy to apply, apply infrequently

The product says you can make a compost tea with it.

Some pictures of my brewer: Run with 2 80w pumps. One dedicated to the air lift, the other split and powering two large air stones.

What do you think of my design MM? (inspired by you no doubt) I like the second pump with the air stones to ensure no material sits on the bottom. Most likely over kill, but that's my game.

over kill truly is your game and in this instance i believe it may be justified

that brewer is totally kick-ass!

does anybody add azomite to their teas? Can it be swapped out or added in addition to MM's recipe with Soft rock phosphate?

That's all you add xmobotx? 3/4 of my outdoor pots are new soil, and I was wondering how to get more minerals in the soil, quickly. (I know, impossible) So I was thinking adding it to teas in small amounts would help. The tea I am making right now is just EWC, mollasses, fish, soft rock. Later in the season I add the kelp.

You take culture samples xmobotx?

^^ That's pretty similar to the one I made before my current airlift model.

I'd recommend using Microbeman's airlift design. I believe it aerates more effectively and it is definitely much easier to clean. You will have to take apart your aerator every time and scrub it out with a brush with this plan.

Well that sure as hell isn't going to happen lol.

Looks like I got most of the pvc on OB's unit, maybe I'll go that route.
