I’m a biologist and a cannabis enthusiast, and this is the first time I’ve come across the word “endogamy“. I had to look it up, and I’ll go back and see what you wrote. Just wanted to say thanks for bringing something new to my attention.

I've just realized that the entry "endogamy" in the English Wikipedia is much narrower than the same entry in other languages like Spanish and Portuguese.

I think the entry "inbreeding" written a little further down the page (1 Further information: Population genetics and inbreeding)

could help to have a better insight about what endogamy is, while NOT related with human populations.

26 days 12/12. Not even 4 weeks, but once resin pops there is no stop

I have cuts of all these beauties.

Four weeks and a half. Nice bud building, I believe these are going to be the most productive of the Taskenti generations I've grown.

Five weeks and a half. Fattening starts! They look gorgeous.

I'll chop them probably at 8 weeks due to LED lights. Under HPS they'd need more.

What was your selections for the F1 generation? I will need to keep reading but just overall good plants or something specific? Thanks for the thread, love folks keeping stuff going like this.

Since all the seeds I sprouted are from the same strain, I can't say there ever was a F1.

Along the thread I tell how I select males and females.

Thanks for commenting.

Great looking taskentis carraxe, it shows your dedication and love for the plants, congratulations.

Meanwhile I got a nice pack of Taskenti F3 by magic herbs, gotta have them before they go out of circulation.

I bet mine are better ;)

44 days. All of them are very similar, productive and resinous. This is one of the best looking batches I've made. I've pictured them inside the tent and outside. There isn't much natural light, so I find difficult to get a good picture with these mixed spectrum lights.

In a couple of weeks they'll be ready.

After harvesting them I can say I already have some conclusions. There were a total of eight female plants with an average weight of about 25 grams of dry bud. The plants are very similar in smell, they are very green to be smoked yet, but the smell is the kind I was looking for. Very similar to the mother plant I use as a reference. Hints of lemon or mint on some, but generally spicy, kind of warm earthy, tasty. Stronger for sure than the plants coming from the 2012' or 2005' seeds.

I bet they'll be strong in effect as well. This generation looks like the best I've made, and the 2005 Taskenti males mixed the best with the reference cut.

After smoking I'll keep one or two of the clones to keep working. I still have a very tasty lemony mother from the 2012 males that now I'll compare with these new keepers.

I'll also keep planting seeds to find the best specimens I can. Now I'll grow some old F2 I made in 2012 with the 2008 males and the keeper cut. These had some problems related to endogamy and were the last generation before the seedbank had to retire the strain, but the new males and females I made look very healthy and don't look like inbreed.

See u soon

I've been smelling during several days the last plants I harvested and I already could discard some plants, just the ones with less smell. In my experience with this strain, the strongest the smell the strongest the effect, and also the smoking experience gets better.

I keep just 3 females from this batch, the strongest smelling ones, with different aromas including lemon, earthy, spicy, chocolate and dried fruits and nuts. I'll smoke them in a couple of weeks, after a month of curing.

Also I've harvested the plant selected between the 2012 males and the keeper clone, but this time I've let her mature for 10 weeks. It smells much more and I guess it will be much stronger. Now I have to compare this one with the other three.

How've you and the Taskenti been doing?

I'm testing the selected individuals. I've already discarded a couple of them that were very impressing visually but not that much in effect. I keep a couple selected specimens made with the 2005 females.

You're right, I've neglected this thread a little, but I have the two selected plants flowering right now, so tomorrow I'll upload some pics.

These are the two cuts I'm keeping after years testing and selecting. They are two days short of four weeks 12/12, and they look good.

I'm making a run of them both to compare. One was a better producer and the other one was better in effect.

I don't discard to plant more seeds and keep testing and selecting in a month or two, just in case I can find better specimens. But I believe it is difficult now, I've been finding very good ones.

I believe that I've already passed the most demanding moments in the Thai - Mextiza breeding project for this year, so I'm feeling again the need to sprout more Taskenti seeds. It is cheap to grow weed now in summer, I can have the plants under a window. I'll visit the fridge tomorrow to get some dozens before they get old.

I'll probably do the systematic cloning and selection.

I didn't make any selection between my Taskenti seeds for a while, but the ones I grew looked like that. Lovely. These had a short vegetative, so they remained short, but they are full of resin as usually.

Indicas make dreams happen
Any real difference in the high/stone between phenos or is it just with smell and flavor? Looking great! I love a very heavy indica stone in both the body and mind departments.
